    Chicken Gyro speciality

Another mouth watering visit to the aptly named Gyro King for a huge shrimp gyro, so huge it definitely banishes the hunger pangs. Soft yeasty pita, tons of pink juicy shrimp, tomatoes, cucumber, onion and tzatziki, and I asked for sriracha on the side to dip it into. Every time I go here I think I'm going to order something new, but I end up with Shrimp Gyro as it is that good! Ask for napkins as it is a juicy finger licking lunch and you will smear it all over your face ;) It is my addiction and I can't get enough. Every 4th Costco visit from the west side I treat myself with a Shrimp Gyro. Try it, you won't be disappointed. There is a huge menu and everything is fresh cooked. Free parking in the roach coach park opposite Costco in Kahului.

    Dolma included

Little bit pricey but I feel I got my money's worth. Comparable $ to other trucks in the same round up. The lamb/beef gyro plate was full of Greek salad which had actual kalamatas, tomatoes, cukes and crumbled feta w a nice Greek vinaigrette. In addition you get a pile of fresh hot seasoned fries and a pile of gyro meat + you get a warm pita too. Even throws in dolma as well. Very tasty - ready in 7min after ordering and as a 200+lb man I got my fill. Greek Uncle was a one man band but got the food out hot and fresh. Conventient access located next to Marriott kahului in its own gravel parking lot. The food trucks are between Keolani Pl and Haleakala Hwy w access from either road.

YES YES YES. AGAIN- YES. I got the gyro and it was wonderfully done. Absolutely loved it. The owner is such a kind, sweet man. Will be coming back here anytime i'm in town!

My first meal in Maui was essentially a tray of fries topped with melty cheese from a gyro food truck - classic! After a long day of travel and waiting almost an hour to pick up my rental car (or should I say minivan!), I wasn't in the mood to go exploring for food. Lucky for me, there was a food truck park not too far from the car rental area and the airport. I originally headed that direction for the vegan food truck, Aloha Eats, but despite the hours on Google saying otherwise, they were not open when I arrived on a Friday around 6pm. I eventually gravitated towards Gyro King not because I wanted Mediterranean, but because they had some amazing pictures of greasy fry trays on their truck menu. I decided on the cheesy fries, and consumed them on the premises. While they weren't bad, they weren't the most satisfying or nutritious food to consume. It was just enough to fill up the tank and head to Paia...for ice cream later!

There are a bunch of food trucks parked next to the Courtyard by Marriott near Kahului Airport (across Costco). This is a convenient spot to grab a bite to eat, super close to the airport. Lots of benches to sit on and enjoy your food. I decided to try the Gyro Plate ($16). This plate was so big! It came with salad, two dolma, fries and topped with delicious gyro meat (lamb/beef). I thought everything was really tasty. I would definitely come back next time I'm on Maui.

    Apparently it's chicken gyro

Went to Costco to stock up for our 1 week stay in Maui and saw the food trucks right across the street (next to Marriott). The place is not what I expected based on the vlogs I saw on YouTube. Decided to try Gyro King and here's the good: 1. Service was fast 2 affordable 3. It is packed with lots of chicken Now the bad The Tzatziki sauce is watery. The gyro is tasteless. The rotisserie chicken taste better than their chicken. Would not recommend

$14 beef & lamb gyro; comes with a side Greek salad or fries. Pretty hefty plate! A little too much feta

Located right beside the Marriott hotel in Kahului, you can't miss them (2 minutes away from the airport). If you're coming from the back area of the airport, they are in a designated spot with about 10 other food trucks, with a seating area in the middle of it all and a gravel parking area. This will be my Second time here. Food portions seem bigger than last time (lots of meat!) You get fries or Greek salad as a side and I chose salad this time, as my fries were soggy and oil-filled the very first tone I've tried them. Sad there were no kalmata olives in the salad, but you get lots (I mean lots) of feta, cucumbers, tomatoes and romaine. Pretty standard. A little on the pricier end, but I could split this hefty plate into 2 meals, so $7/meal, not bad at all. The cashier on both instances were nice enough, so maybe I came on a good day, or they replaced the cashier so many people complained about? A few things I Wish were that the sauces were on the side, as I found a bit too much tzatziki inside of the gyro. Also, maybe ask for lite feta, as there was too much (overpowered everything). They take card and cash, and also sell pasta and lemonade/soft drinks.

Is this place like ever open? Everytime I try to go they are closed. I've been trying to go here since 2023 and everytime I pull up. It's closed. And their schedule shows they should be open till 7pm

Made my second trip here, so I think I'm due for a review. I totally forgot they were in the newer food lot by Costco & I went to the address listed looking for them the time before this. I was never a huge fan of greek food, but I had a bite of someones shrimp gyro the first time & knew next time I needed one for myself. Fast forward to yesterday, decided to bring my grandma back to get another one. Got her the pork gyro with salad with a strawberry lemonade & beef gyro for myself. The lot was pretty busy, so there quite a few people in front us, but we didn't have to wait too long. The gyros were big & stuffed with goodness: feta, tzatziki sauce, purple onion, tomato cucumbers & meat. I'm not sure how gyros are supposed to taste, but these were really good. Meat was soft & the pork was shredded with a mild smoky taste. I will say it was a bit expensive, for everything we got it was $29. But I'm definitely all about supporting local businesses as often as I can, so go give these guys a try even if greek food isn't your thing.

Wow! This place is amazing! I ate here while the other half ate at another truck locally. I always take a chance to try Greek food, and wasn't expecting much especially in Maui. Boy was I absolutely pleasantly impressed with my choice! The food was clearly made fresh, served warm. French fries: crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside. Fried to perfection. AND with feta cheese, hello yumminess! Gyro sandwich: HUGE and delicious. The tzatziki sauce is great. I shouldn't have finished this whole sandwich but I did! No regrets!!!! Will I come back? Of course! Will I leave in a food coma? Absolutely Will I hate myself afterwards? Probably Will it happen everytime I eat here? Yes!!

NEW. Combined with Pele BBQ into one BIG truck.

Chicken gyro wasn't good. Dry chicken. Overpowered by feta. Missing the usual flavors found in a gyro. Falafel gyro also not good.

My husband ordered the fresh catch of the day (Mahi Mahi) and thought it was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right -- flavorful without being overpowering. My dad had the chicken Caesar salad, which he found refreshing, with crisp greens, tender chicken, and a nice balance of dressing and parmesan. My mom chose the chicken kabob plate, a hearty dish with tender chicken skewers, rice, grilled vegetables, pita, and tzatziki -- filling and well-seasoned. I had the American Greek Salad, loaded with fresh vegetables, feta, and pita on the side. It was light, fresh, and satisfying. We shared the baklava ice cream cake for dessert -- a real highlight. The layers of baklava with creamy vanilla ice cream were absolutely delicious, and the drizzle of syrup tied it all together. We especially loved the vanilla ice cream paired with the crunch of the baklava. The mango iced tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. We also brought our own bottle of wine (2019 Double Diamond Cabernet Sauvignon), and the corkage fee of $30 was well worth it to enjoy with our meal. Our server, Justina, was kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. The restaurant itself has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere -- relaxed yet with an elevated feel that makes it great for both family dinners and special evenings out. Pita Paradise delivers on fresh, well-seasoned Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a Hawaiian touch. Healthy options, great service, and a warm ambiance made this one of our favorite meals on Maui. Highly recommend, especially for the baklava ice cream cake!

When I got my plate, it was not breaded shrimp but was a scampi "style" shrimp. I brought my food back to say this is not the shrimp in the photo and the worker said we don't do that shrimp we do the shrimp you got. I gave him an odd look because it was extreme false advertisement. I could've spent my $15 at Geste shrimp for a way better tasting shrimp. I did not enjoy the shrimp I got here. I will however say their pita bread and hummus is good as well as their lemonade. This is the only reason I give it a 2 star. But I am not a supporter of false advertisement and they did not even mention on their menu of a different shrimp served, I was neither informed when ordering that it is going to be a different shrimp. In conclusion, if you get a meal from them, ASK to make sure you are getting what is in the menu photo. I will say I will never go back and will share with my fellow friends if they want to try this place to ask the workers for full disclosure whether or not you'll get what is on their menu photo.

It's even a fun place to just meet friends for a drink. When you walk, take a minute to appreciate the large, round space, and lighting structures. Funny enough, even though we came twice, most of us ordered the same dishes from the first night. Between our two visits, we got the fresh catch crudo, oyster crudo for appetizers. Both were great. I loved the oysters because of the unique flavors. For mains we got lamb chops, paella, filet, and beef ragout. The lamb chops were so good, I ordered them during both visits. I loved the smattering of cannellini beans. They had a fresh citrus flavor to them. It brightened up the dish. The olives and mint chutney were great accompaniments too. The filet was another dish that was ordered on both visits. The truffle gratin potatoes were delicious and came served in its own cast iron dish to stay hot. The vegetables added a nice balance to the dish too. The beef ragout was nicely presented atop a bed of thick ribbons of pasta. It was a nice twist, rather than a traditional bolognese. The paella came with a variety of mixed seafoods and saffron rice. It was served in its own skillet. Desserts were also great. We got the Spanish cheesecake and the warm chocolate torta. Both were really good.
