Love this place! Whenever you're on Maui and don't know what to get for breakfast, consider coming down to Marco's!! I've been here twice, trust me after the first time I had it I had to come back. They do serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner; but I had to do their breakfast cause I was kind of tired of McDonald's. The service was excellent, the staff gives you great suggestions if you're indecisive (that's me ‍and I have no shame about it lol). They also have excellent coffee, very smooth and make my coffee heart so happy. The overall feel of the restaurant is great! It's clean and gives off a high class diner feel. This was definitely a guilty pleasure visit to Marco's. They're a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but this trip was the kind where you just need some carbs and waffle fries with your bestie. It was my first time trying the chocolate cake. I spotted it in the case and immediately knew that was the one. Then the server asked, "would you like it warmed up with vanilla ice cream?" You don't need to ask me twice. That was a hands-down yes. And their tiramisu? Delicioso! But be warned, it's definitely a "pick me up." If you have a slice after 5pm, the espresso may have you up till 2am trying to solve world hunger with ChatGPT, ha ha. No dessert spread is complete without their waffle fries, either. So crispy and yummy, that salty-sweet combo never misses. We were looking for a place to have a nice dinner but wasn't sure of the type of food when we came across this place. We were immediately greeted upon entering and shown to our booth. First, let's start with the fact that the decor in this place is great, retro 50s diner style. Love it! The customer service was wonderful, very inviting. The menu was extensive. American, Asian and Italian. And the cocktail menu was great as well. The wait staff is by far, the best that we've experienced in many years. So impressed with how they treat their customers. We came on the recommendation of my BIL who lives on island. We had actually gone for dinner the night before but thats another post. Very nice local Italian restaurant. Everything on the menu is served all day except the breakfast so of course we had to come back. Staff is amazing and so friendly. They were great at explaining the menu and our options. I do have to mention that the breakfast staff was more on it with the water. The food was pretty standard for breakfast. After my cousins egg white omlette came, I wanted that. It looked so good. The mushroom omlette that I ordered was okay. It could have been better. The eggs were not fluffy but hard and overall a little tasteless. Maybe adding some garlic or garlic salt as I dont really care for ketchup on my mushrooms. The bacon & cheese saved the omlette and it was funny that I ordered light cheese and got a whole lot of it! It was good after adding salt and pepper. I dont recommend ordering the Lebowski unless you have a light appetite. It only gives 2 peices of meat. A little sad there was no fried rice. Overall, staff was great, food was good and the restaurant is very bright and open. Maybe I'll order my usual next time (Eggs Benedict). I'm rarely disappointed with that. read more

Been wanting to try this place for over 15 years now. I finally went and it did not disappoint. It's not as large as it looks from the outside. There's a bar inside but I don't know if it's used daily. There wasn't anyone sitting there but it was fully stocked. I would have given this place 5 stars but the only thing I didn't like was the chairs. It was a bit uncomfortable and I think the tables are slightly too high. But that's really nitpicking. Reviews should be about the food. The food is great! I got the Italian sausage linguine and cheese garlic bread. It was delicious! I will be coming back to try something different. Marco's was just what we were craving. The food here is fresh, delicious and the portions are huge! They have an extensive menu of favorites and specialties. We enjoyed their seafood linguine, lasagna, a veggie hero and some french onion soup. All were spot on delicious. Service is outstanding, friendly and special orders are no problem. It was our first full day in Maui. I checked Yelp for a breakfast spot and Marco's was very close to the Courtyard Marriott we were staying for the night. We arrived shortly after they opened. Nice place, a little dated with black vinyl table coverings, the type of soft jazz music I like playing in the background. While it is an Italian restaurant, for breakfast they offer standard things like omelettes, pancakes, and for me, Eggs Benedict. The food was ready in under 10 minutes. Although I thought the Hollandaise Sauce was a bit bland, I liked the delicious slice of real ham. The side of potatoes were ok, seasoned and plentiful. Our server was great, helping us decide what to order and keeping an eye on us in case we needed anything. Our visit was a nice start to the day. One thing that surprised me was there were no free refills for fountain drinks. I don't know if that's a Hawaiian thing or just a Marco's thing, but I'm glad our server let me know when I asked for a refill instead of just charging me more. read more

Wonderful, fresh and generous salad: Marcoʻs Cobb Salad! it was almost a classic Cobb but it had ham and turkey - akin to a Chefʻs Salad - and diced onions. Friendly and fast service. Very reasonable prices at $21 for the Cobb salad, and $28 for the huge Reuben Sandwich with a large salad. Family friendly, so the atmosphere is definitely at a noisy diner volume. I think the mini duo booths - two seater table but with high booth backs - enabled me to hear my date over the din. I wonder if that was a purposeful design choice. Been coming to Maui since I was a kid visiting my family and we never stopped here for some reason, until last night! It's a small place not far from Maui Mall and they've got great local Italian food. My mom and I ordered the sausage lasagna and it was a massive piece! It was very tasty and made with the just the right amount of sauce and proteins. The workers are so friendly and welcoming and will definitely make you feel right at home. One of our favorite places for breakfast. We come here often on Sundays. We like to create our own omelette. Classic French Toast is also one of our favorites! The had listed a Loco Moco (7oz Angus beef patty, mushrooms, onions, rice and gravy topped with 2 eggs, any style.) (Loco Moco served during breakfast hours) as a special of the month. Came here for a date night around 6:30pm. Our server seemed distracted and in a rush to get out of there. She quickly took our order and asked if we wanted cheesy garlic bread with our meal. We said yes that sounded good. We got our appetizers and then our meals and waited a while for the bread. We were waiting to eat our entrees so we could have the bread but she then said she had forgotten to put that order in. We told her it was OK, we didnt need it, we're pretty easygoing diners. Before we had even taken a couple bites of our dinner, she asked if we were going to want dessert. We said we weren't sure yet and she explained that she was trying to close our check out so she could go home. I mean, kind of inappropriate but we went with the flow. Also, one member of my party didn't feel good after visiting The servers were quite nice, and took the time to ask the kitchen about gluten cross-contamination due to my celiac disease, which I appreciated. I'm definitely a regular. This is the perfect spot for a family dinner weeknight after sports practice in downtown Kahului. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. I know it hasn't been updated in decades but honestly it's charming and perfect. Service is efficient and friendly, timely. They have servers who have worked there for years. The food is really satisfying. Caesar salad maybe the best on island. Clams are amazing! Steak sandwich is husbands favorite with the pasta salad. Pastas you can't go wrong. Every time we go to Marcos it's a friendly and uplifting experience. The Bloody Mary was absolutely amazing, the coffee was smooth and food is always delicious.
