Service speed was good 10 minutes or so. My only comment on the food was it was sloppily assembled so it was a bit messy but everything tasted good and was of adequate portion size. Indian American here. I looked up Yelp reviews for places in/around Leesburg Outlets. This place stood out. When I read the menu, I was excited to read things like "Karak Chai" and "Samosa chaat." I figured it was a South Asian/ Middle Eastern fusion place. I don't understand why this place is so highly rated. My family and I got the chicken & rice platter to share. The rice is oily. The chicken is meh. There's barely any salt and no seasoning. The red sauce has wayyy to much vinegar. Throw white sauce is bland. The tiny pieces of pita bread seem more like a garnish. The mint lemonade tastes artificial and too sweet. Upside: the fries are good. I hope they read this review and step up their game. No Rashid. You are absolutely wrong. When we entered the restaurant you counter person was standing outside. Doing absolutely nothing. We were the only customers you had at that time. Please do not try and sugar-coat the issue at hand. Your staff was just not prepared for business. A few minutes after we ordered a nice Asian couple entered and they ordered two gyros as well. It wasn't until we were finished with our gyros did a small group walk in to order, this was 35 minutes after we initially placed our order. The bottom line is the fryer had not been turned on. The clerk clearly stated to me that the fryer needed to be heated up. I spent 25 years in the restaurant business before I retired. I know the business!! You were just not prepared! Not to mention having an argument with your employee in front of your customers is completely and totally unprofessional. Get your s**t together and you might succeed as a restauranteur. Rags and I needed to run an errand by the leesburg pike outlet and spotted this truck right next to where we parked. We were instantly reminded of Halal Guys when we saw the menu and decided to try the place. The owner is from Pakistan and what I could deduce from other reviews he's a mean, rude person. I will be honest - he was the start opposite of that! He definitely had an abrupt, gruff manner - but we was very nice! Offered us extra sauce and told us how he made his Tikka Fries! He told us where in Pakistan he was from. Overall, I didn't find anything about his demeanor that was rude or mean. Now for the food - we shared a regular size chicken platter and large order of tikka fries ( he did manage to upsell us to a larger size) The food was fresh and flavorful. The white sauce was amazingly tasty - tangy yogurt and zatar flavor. The onions were fresh, as were the tomatoes, which is honestly sometimes hard to find. The rice - fluffy, tasty and perfect texture. The chicken itself was a bit over cooked on my mind but still lots of flavor. Plus once you smothered it in the white sauce, I really couldn't tell. Now these Tikka fries - home run! Delicious crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, freshly prepared with tikka sauce labeled over it. The cool thing about the 'sauce' was that it wasn't too wet - I don't know how, lol. But my fries were still crispy. There was a smoky flavor to the sauce that comes from a wood coal smoke that the owner told us all about - absolutely yummy! Nice little find today, at the Outlet Mall (not located in the food court, near Old Navy). Got the Beef Gyro platter... Excellent! Loved the mix of white and hot sauce. The meat is more cubed than the typical gyro slices... but very tasteful. Better than Halal Guys in my opinion. Felt like a family business, great service. read more

Roaming the Outlet Mall looking for a light meal, my son & I stumbled upon the advertisement for Gyro Kitchen Express near Adidas. This location is actually located near Old Navy right next door to Lids and is one of the only food spots outside of the Food Court. Fast forward, we chose the chicken gyro platter for takeout to split. Food was great, very flavorful and reminded me of Halal Guys, one of my recent fav food spots. Happy to have found Gyro Kitchen Express as it's much closer to my house and is more flavorful than Halal Guys. read more

The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller size and the table setup is a little discomforting with the the wall art however the service was kind and quick and the food was delicious. We got the regular combo dishes with chicken and beef and spice and it was delicious and filling. The spice sauce is not too spicy but does have a nice tang to it. This place has the BEST falafel I have ever had. I typically am not crazy about falafel but any time I am in the area I stop and get their falafel wrap. They first really drew me in with their Tikka Fries which are AMAZING, that was until I had the Chaat Fries which are some how even better. People saying the food isn't good are the same kind of people who think Panda Express is peak Chinese food. The service was great, the owner is a really nice and welcoming. This was my first time at Gyro Kitchen Express! Right when you walk in you are greeted by a very kind and helpful staff. Also the decoration and interior is very nice and unique! The food came quite fast and was hot and fresh. Also I was very happy to know that everything is halal! This is so nice because halal restaurants are not very common. I got the beef gyro combo platter and it had a pre good amount of food. it could easily be shared amongst 2 people! I also got a side of classic fries and they were very fresh and crispy! Afterwards the owner asked me if I enjoyed the food and was very kind and checked in on me a few times to make sure the food was good. Not going to lie one of the best chicken gyro's I've had in a long time! Good portion of chicken, the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and peppers all tasted fresh. The white sauce and fire sauce is BOMB. I've tried them before and really liked their beef gyro. The guy (I think owner) was nice. Although there weren't too many words of exchange, he seemed kind. The food was a 4/10 . It wasn't enough to be like "wow this is Gucci ". The owner seemed like an A**hole . He was very disrespectful to his employee (Hispanic women mid 40s) he is very self centered and over all gives a bad vibe . He kept yelling at her and arguing with her . I ordered a platter and a wrap . Said no onions and he repeated my order saying " so you want a platter and a gyro wrap with tomatoes, lettuce and onions " the lady then corrected him saying " no he said no onions " then when we got our ordered it had onions . Then he blamed her and started yelling at her . Which then she repeated all she cooked was the beef and he was the one to put the onions not her . Then they continued arguing . I felt bad for the lady and even after we finished eating we stayed a little to relax and he kept yelling at her because she put the forks in the bottom of someone's bag instead of the top . Have to say this was the best Gyro platter i have tried in many years. The white sauce makes it even better. Service was wonderful as well.
