I got the gyro salad and they were kind enough to swap fries for a small pita, extra greens and tomatoes, with an olive oil and vinegar dressing. It was fantastic. The only downside, which I think was a little unreasonable, is that a mandatory gratuity of 20% is charged on all parties of three or more. So mom, dad, two kids is 20% mandatory; four colleagues. That's excessive for me. I understand the industry norm of 10 or more, even 8 or more, but.. THREE?? For that I wouldn't come back with my family but I would with a friend. That aside and limiting my review to what I experienced, the interior if nice and comfortable, booths are in good shape, there's a nice Christmas tree for the holidays, and the menu is plentiful. Went for lunch with friends. Got a lunch special cheesesteak sub which was good, and included a drink and fries for $15. Not a bad price. I read that the crab soup is very good so I asked if I could substitute that for the fries. (The regular price of the cup of crab soup is $5). The server said there would be a "small upcharge" for soup instead of fries and I said that was fine with me. Well, when my check came I was a little shocked that the "small upcharge" was actually $4, so not quite a small upcharge in my opinon? Had I known I would have just taken the fries to go. $21 plus tip for lunch is pretty pricey. Don't know if I'll be back again. read more

I've heard good things about this place, both the Italian food and the Greek food. So Friday night went to check it out. Warm family feeling when first entering as you are greeted by the team. Plenty of tables, my spouse and I choose a booth. She had a meat pizza and I had meat lasagna. Mine came with garlic bread and a small salad. Quick friendly service. I'm usually not a large eater, but ate every bite of mine. Great flavor, one of the best lasagnas I've had in a long time. Pizza was really good too, thin crust, plenty of cheese. I have always heard about this hole in the wall. It is a Leesburg staple that I have never been to. (I don't live in Leesburg :) ) We were excited to try it out. It felt good to help out a local establishment which is family owned. They seemed very appreciative that we ordered from them. Now onto the food. A big menu. Lots of Italian and Greek options. I went with the Steak A Zone. And my wife got the vegetable lasagna. Both were excellent. I love a god steak and cheese calzone. It was large. Didn't finish it. Which means I have lunch for tomorrow. A solid option for Greek food in Leesburg! We've been here several times and never been disappointed. Today we tried the Gyro platter a special that seems to keep showing up in mailers. It was quite exceptional. The gyro meat is sliced from a log and not the pressed patties. The sandwich had a generous portion of meat and fresh veggies. They provided homemade tzatziki on the side. The tzatziki would thrill dill fans but it was just fine even for me. The Gyro platter came with fries and a salad. The fries were so-so, not the best quality and some were overcooked --a minor blemish in an otherwise fantastic meal. The salad (we ordered Greek) was exceptional, ripe tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, and good quality romaine and red onions. I was really impressed with the quality of their produce. The salad came with a container of homemade dressing on the side and it was delicious.... I highly recommend this place for gyros! read more

I ordered fettuccini with Alfredo and my order came out hot, steamy, and delicious. I highly recommend the noodles. I also tried the meat pizza. This is our go to place for an event. Went here after Easter service and had a nice experience. Eclectic menu has something for everyone, including vegetarians (maybe not vegans). All of our pasta dishes came with a side salad and garlic bread. The salad was simple as expected, but the homemade Italian dressing was really great, and the generous serving of garlic bread was fantastic! I had to hold myself back so that I'd have room for my actual meal. I ordered the spinach-striped cheese ravioli with red garlic cream sauce. It was DELICIOUS! I had to force myself to stop eating it because it was so good but I was stuffed. I tried a bite of the chicken parm, tortellini alfredo, and shish taouk chicken, which were all equally wonderful. The customer service is wonderful, they deliver in a very timely fashion, and the food is always absolutely delicious. They definitely kill it in providing authentic, ethnic comfort food. I tend to always go for things I've never tried before at different restaurants if they are available (and a lot of times I end up disappointed). But today something was telling me to try Mama Lucci's Middle-Eastern style falafel on a Pita. (First falafel experience ever ) And SERIOUSLY my life is forever changed! SO. DANG. GOOD. I can't forget my usual Crab Soup. I'm literally obsessed. It has generous amounts of crab meat, and just the right amount of veggies and spices. This soup warms my soul. I can't order Mama Lucci's without getting some My husband ALWAYS gets Penne' with Alfredo, grilled chicken, mushrooms and onions. I totally get why-because the sauce is INCREDIBLE and deliciously flavorful, and the chicken is cooked to perfection. My mother just had lamb for the first time in like 50 years, so obviously she was literally blown away with her Gyro. On August 28 of this year, Mama Lucci's catered our outdoor Irish Wake for our beloved son Nicholas. If I could give this restaurant a 10, I would. Not only were the sandwiches perfect, but they took care to make sure all was safely Covid wrapped. The cookies and brownies were perfect. The staff that delivered the goodies was more that polite. They even helped some of the family members unload and set up the drinks. I ordered a white pizza, it's pictured below. It was very dried up, and over baked- it hardly had any cheese or oil on it. I asked the waitress if she could just take it back and to take it off of my check. She came back and said that the owner was in the building and that he said he could just box it up for me but he won't take it off of the check. I told her to trash it, we paid for it and left. This is a nice little family run establishment. The people are nice and friendly. We came in on a Friday evening around dinner time. The place was starting to get busy. We found a table and waited for our server. A server saw us come in and noticed we needed a high chair. She brought that to us and left. We had to wait over 5 minutes before someone came over to bring us menus. A server brought us menus then left. We had to wait 5+ minutes again before two servers decided who would take us. We finally got one. We placed our drink and food orders. My wife and I got the gyro platter and my daughter got a grilled cheese sandwich. We also ordered some hummus for an appetizer. Not sure if they were short staffed this night, because service was just slow. Our server was very friendly though. She has kids and she knows how to keep them happy. My 3 year old daughter was starting to be a pill, but our server was cool. The hummus soon came out. There was actually a lot on the plate, we didn't finish it, but it was tasty. The bread was nice and warm also. Soon the gyro platter and grilled cheese came out. I thought the gyro meat was good, but I think there could have been a little more meat with it. The fries were hot and crunchy. The taziski sauce was nice and flavorful. Overall, I think the food here is good. The service was the issue this night. Maybe they were just short staffed that night. I'll be honest. When we drove up to this place, I questioned the legitimacy of these Yelp reviews. From the outside it looks like a little pizza shop. But I'm so glad we stopped in, it's one of the best places we ate on our roadtrip. For starters, the hummus was delicious! Came with perfectly hot and crispy pita bread, topped with tomatoes, olives and olive oil. The house Italian dressing was good and homemade like I like it, but could have used a little more vinegar. For the meal...Chicken Cattiatore, oh the Cattiatore. So good. On the spicy side, which was great. No veggies in the sauce, which was great because I pick them out anyway, but you could tell this was a good homemade sauce. I brought back leftovers to our hotel even though we didn't have a refrigerator or microwave. Too bad all that pasta put me to sleep or I would have been in for cold seconds, it was that good. A little pricey for the atmosphere, but the quality of food makes up for it. Great food! read more

Mama Lucci's recently catered two lunches for 30 youth and adult leaders. The subs and salads were delicious (you have to try the tomato mozzarella with pesto!). As a regular here with almost always positive experiences who really enjoys the food and the atmosphere, that all changed today. I will never return and purely due to their customer service and issue resolution procedures. After being put on hold many times and 7 minutes later to place a deliver order of an entree, lunch combo, and appetizer with extra sauce (which I was charged for,) the insanity that ensued was ridiculous. I needed a second person in order for the person on the phone to get my order accurate after she adamantly kept telling me I couldn't get the crab soup cup delivered when I ordered the lunch combo with cup of crab soup...? What...?!?!? Then I called back asking for an itemized receipt because I wasn't told a total and the amount processed was over 42 dollars and this seemed off for a 15.00 entree, 6.50 app, under 10 dinner entree and 1 extra side sauce. When the order came the extra sauce was not in a box and flooded the bag. When opening the bag my food, floor, couch and table were covered in sauce. I called to ask for a manager who asked me what he should do. I said you own the business please let me know. He offered to take the food and remake it. Legit after a wait already and 50.00 after tip that is an insane suggestion. Then he stated 10.00 off my next order but the thing is I won't be ordering again with this type of customer service. There are so many other local places that deserve the money and care for their customers. He stated he would call me back but to me this was utterly unacceptable to an establishment that has gotten a lot of money from us in the past almost 3 years. UPDATE POST CALL BACK BELOW: (took about 15 min) Someone named Caroline called me back super apologetic at the beginning of the call. When I explained the situation and the aftermath of marinara sauce she kept pushing me to send the pictures when I explained it ended up on my floor, couch and coffee table to file a claim with her "2 million dollar insurance policy." She Too offered me ten dollars off due to it solely being marinara sauce with no regard to the fact by the time we cleaned the immediate mess our food was cold or that we will need to steam clean the bottom of the couch. She stated she didn't understand how the sauce was on our couch either in an attempt to justify it in my opinion. I told her I posted the photos on yelp as I was very disappointed. She then went on a tirade explaining Yelp was just a "place for people to vent," and told me to make sure to write on yelp what she offered. So here it is. As she was getting very testy with me she said she would comp the food and hung up. UPDATE 8:47 PM: (after owners response) Photo posted. Called the business in regards to the very blatant reply that does not accurately describe the events. (Photo posted) I asked why I was told I would be refunded then the same woman (the owner) posted here I refused any offers made. This is why I said I did not see myself returning and did not think 10 off was appropriate for a business that's got hundreds of dollars, see prior photo months ago raving about the crab soup for example. I was told I would receive a refund after she went on me about how yelp is a place for bashing businesses and couldn't even be honest about what she said. W As a consumer this is so very frustrating. The girl whom answers the phone tonight was very nice, attentive, kind, and helpful however. She said she would call the openers and be in touch. YELP HAS WRONG HOURS FOR THIS BUSINESS! Their true hours are Mon - Sat 11:00 am - 9:30 pm Not many options for restaurants in Leesburg. Gave Mama Lucci's a try, and left very pleased with our choice. Started off with Hummus that was served with warm pita. Children devoured the mozzarella sticks in a flash. On to the entrees we ordered--Beef Tenderloin Kabob and Chicken Kabob. Both served with large portions of basmati rice were delicious. The guest of honor chose the Penne with Chicken in an Alfredo sauce. She and was very pleased with her choice! The cheese pizza came with loads of cheese and a nice crispy flavorful crust. The Eggplant Parmigiana was more spaghetti than eggplant, but nevertheless cheesy and delicious. To top the meal off we shared a piece of the NY Cheesecake, which we were told is made locally. It reminded us of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. Yum! The cannoli was also a winner.
