I was recently passing through the Palmdale area and found myself with a massive craving for some good, authentic Greek food. I decided to stop by this spot, and I am so glad I did because it was absolutely outstanding! You must try the dinner plate. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was excellent. Nick and his entire crew are incredibly professional, welcoming, and clearly care about providing a top-notch experience for their guests. They made me feel right at home. As for the food, it is fantastic. It was fresh, flavorful, healthy ingredients, and exactly what I was hoping for to satisfy my craving. Very friendly staff who I can tell takes pleasure in making great food. Got a free taster of the fries, which were delicious. Ordered the traditional gyro, and that was also very tasty! Wow wow wow. What an amazing Greek spot with amazing customer service and delicious food. The owners are absolutely the sweetest and definitely put their heart and soul into this spot. For a walk up food spot at the mall it feels like you're eating at a 5 star restaurant. Their menu is simple and the prices are great for what you get. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 gyro plates, water from Greece and the baklava cheesecake. The gyro meat was juicy and flavorful and paired with the fresh pita and tzatziki sauce it made for a delicious meal. The rice and salad were perfect sides for this meal too. The water was crisp and clean and plentiful to share between 2 people. Now, the star of the show is the baklava cheesecake. Stopped by the gyro spot while I was at the mall since it's new and we wanted to give it a try. I love a good Greek spot, so I was excited to see one open up. The service started off great. One gentleman was very informative and helpful, taking the time to tell me about the menu. A younger gentleman took my order and let me know it would take about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, it ended up taking quite a bit longer. I ordered a gyro plate and a side of fries--nothing complicated. After about 30 minutes, I went up to the counter to check in and was told it would be a little longer. They offered to give me my fries while I waited, which I appreciated because I was very hungry. The fries were well seasoned and pretty good. Another 20 minutes went by before my food was ready. At that point, I found out the rice still wasn't done and would take about another 20 minutes. I really wanted the rice, but they had already substituted it with fries, which I had already ordered. The staff member let me know I could wait for the rice, so I decided to stick it out. When the rice finally came out, it was good. Overall, the plate itself was good and definitely hit the spot.I absolutely tore up that salad, it was exactly the type of salad I love. I understand they're new and still working out their flow, so I'm hoping things smooth out because it would be nice to have a solid Greek spot around. The food is made fresh and tastes absolutely delicious. My sister and I got the gyro tacos and they were perfection. The meat was soft and they don't skimp out on it either. My mom got the chicken dinner plate and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and melted in your mouth. The service is amazing. The family is very sweet kind and welcoming. My sister is in her mid twenties and came to order with me wearing a Pokemon shirt and they gave her some Pokemon cards. They usually only give the kids Pokemon cards but they saw her shirt and offered her to pick out some cards. The experience was great and we asked for suggestions and he provided them. I been going here since they opened and I usually always get the same plate a gyro with fries and a drink. This time they messed up my order and only gave me the gyro. Gyro-stop is a hidden gem in the Antelope Valley. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed, even though the restaurant is set up in the food court. It does not feel that way. Finally, some good food at the AV mall. If you are second guessing eating at this place, do it, IT IS DELICIOUS! I just started eating Greek food and when I saw this place I was in awe! The staff are really nice! The food is really fresh, i saw them hand chopping ingredients! They take their foods seriously and as they should. I ordered the chicken Gyro with no onions. My daughter had a cheese burger (she's a kid, not really interested in newer foods yet). Damn, this was a good gyro! Nice portion size of chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and Tzatziki sauce. First things first, Niko is the MAN. That man has some of the absolute best customer service i've ever had the privilege of experiencing in my life. He saw my girl and I trying to decide if we wanted to eat there. My girlfriend and I are pretty picky about rice and were unsure and almost decided not to try them. However, he offered us a sample and we requested to try their rice. We are so very glad that we did because it was and is some of the best rice we've both ever tried. we immediately decided we'd be enjoying dinner here. Niko explained to us that the portions were really big and that we could definitely share so that's exactly what we did. we got the chicken dinner plate, two natural greek sodas, and a baklava cheesecake.
