Because less than half the time that I order here can I get a substitution that I know they are happy to offer, but for some reason it's just confusion. I want my lamb plate with veggies instead of rice. They are not against it, it just depends on who takes the order. It's having to explain it. You see, I'm on a keto or low carb diet. Not really an unusual thing, mainstream even. I can't eat the rice. Their veggies btw are killer. You should order some, if you can. If the younger guy takes the order, I get hit with "why would you want that?". If the woman takes the order, tonight it was, "it comes with rice, do you want another order". No, I want to sub the $2.99 rice and get the $2.99 veggies instead. But when I'm tired and hangry what I want more than anything, is no hassle and no explanation. Not confusion or questions on why I want something. Why is it difficult to substitute? Oh, and I don't bother trying to tell them that I can't eat the pita, gave up on that a long time ago. I just resign myself to feeling bad when I throw food straight into the trash, something my farmer grandparents taught me was one of the worst things you could do. Decent food. Clean restaurant. Just your run-of-the-mill fast casual Greek place. I went there because it's the only one I could find with Avgalemono soup. Nothing special, but not bad. read more

I kidnapped a co-worker for lunch the other day and we ended up here. Glad we did! i kept forgetting to go here anytime they were actually open. They don't serve food when they aren't open. Funny how that works. Clean, shiny, small little place with bar style seating, small tables and a nice couch for to-go waiting. Open kitchen and what I am assuming is a husband/wife team behind the counter. I went with the shredded lamb. Glad i did. Good grief, it was tasty. They sauce on the side (and give a very healthy little portion) so you can tailor to your own liking and for to-go, it means nothing is over-swimming in sauces and getting squishy while you get back to the office. I ordered dinner tonight and I used a delivery service. I ordered the lamb souvlaki which was the most expensive item on the menu. I was truly shocked when I got my good yo see how small the portion was ..? For over 16 dollars per order you will expect at least a full pita bread not half a pita bread. I have never seen this before. The Take out containers are so small so not only you will get a small portion of food but you will have the said mixed up with rice sine the owner is using small containers. Six pieces of lamb a sampler of rice .. small portion of Said and half a loaf of pita bread for over 16 dollars plus I paid for delivery too so I spent over $21.00 for the smallest portion of dinner I have ever seen. Now regarding the food quality , the food was good. It was tasty but not enough yo feed one person. Other similar food restaurants I the same area serve double the amount of food I got for the same price. I am hoping the owner will evaluate the portion sizes and use larger containers. My first time here tonight was quite an uncomfortable experience even though majority of yelpers here have labeled this place with 4 stars. The people here clearly cater and entertain to their selected customers and leave the rest of the other customers just some who comes in to get something to eat and leave. I made the effort to make conversation with the people working there and they kept answers short and continued to carry lengthy conversations with the people at the front eating who were middle eastern. While the other customers who were eating at the table were at an inconvenience to the people working here because they were disrupted from their conversation with the customers at the front when all the customers at the table wanted was just extra sauce and for me to see them roll their eyes as they got them sauce was already a "red flag" to me. But I had yet to taste their food. The food tasted just as much as their customer service. I got a lamb gyro with fries and as I brought this home my first initial bite of my gyro was so dry that I needed to use the sauce provided to be able to eat it. I was able to finish everything because I was hungry and I just coughed up $10+ for this meal. So this is why I am brought to rate this a two star and maybe I will give this place a second chance just because its the nearest gyro place to my house. I highly would not recommend this place just for the simple fact that the people that work here are rude and provide poorly made Gyros. No Happy Eats to this place! read more

Was getting my car fixed up the road and was dying for food. I did a quick search and found this as a top 3 eatery close to me. Walking distance cheap eats? Score! Got the classic lamb and beef gyro and it far exceeded my expectations. Pita was a warm, soft blanket around the fresh ingredients. Meat was juicy and delectable. They even put the tzatziki sauce on the side so I could use exactly how much I wanted. It's a clean, no frills, delicious Mediterranean joint. So glad I happened upon it! read more

I've been here quite a few times now and the food is always good. And the staff is always nice and courteous. I come here almost on a weekly basis because it's close to my place and the food is good. I've always liked that the food was pretty affordable but unfortunately they have already raised the prices and they haven't even been in the area for that long. Not sure why the price increase but it might deter me from frequenting this establishment since I can get better food just down the street for almost the same price now that they raised their prices. Like I said, the food is good but I'm not sure it's worth the price anymore. The gyro combo I get is now almost $10 and for that price I can get a huge chicken salad from Mediterranean Kitchen which is a lot more substantial. Houmas - so garlicky I couldn't even eat it, and I like garlic! I had a vegetarian pita that only had a tiny sprinkle of feta cheese and two slices of mushy tomato. The staff is kind, the restaurant is clean, and the Gyro tastes great :) I wanted to edit and put why I keep coming back. The beef and lamb Gyro meat is my favorite. It is dry, crispy, and salty; because of that, the salad stays crispy in the sandwich and the pita bread doesn't get soggy. This place is pretty good! I've gotten the traditional and chicken gyros and they were both very tasty. The veggies are always fresh, and I also like getting my sauce on the side so it doesn't make the whole thing soggy on the ride home. Their fries, while tasty, are hit and miss in terms of quality. I've gotten some that have been piping hot and nice and crispy, and other times they were a soggy greasy mess. I'll take a little inconsistency with the fries for gyros that are so good though! Don't go here! They don't wear masks during this COVID-19 pandemic. The older man (I think he is the owner) and the young man we're both working last week and we're not wearing masks. I've been here 2 different times and they were not wearing masks. Illegal and totally unacceptable. Especially when they have a sign in their door that says "you must wear a mask". Really, 2.5 stars. If this joint is with in walking distance, you are in luck. This is unbad food. The gyro was above "meh", the greek fries were undercooked. Value was ~ $11 out the door. I had the "super" gyro which looked to have about the same meat as my co-workers un-super gyro (fitting name I just gave it). If this isn't with in walking distance, drive on by. Padria's in Juanita Village has much better plated greek but if a gyro is your craving, nothing beats Santorini's in downtown kirkland. read more

I live right by this little restaurant and absolutely love it. My boyfriend and I usually grab the gyro value meal with lamb. It comes with seasoned fries and a drink and isn't too pricey. Everyone that works there has always been really nice! I've been helped by several different people and the experience is always great. Lately, I've been getting the 'greek fries' that have a shredded feta topping and are really delicious (fyi- they do cost a bit extra). I always get the food to go as we live so close. They package the sauce for the gyro separately and you can assemble when you get home so it's not a soggy mess which I'm very grateful for. I love that they put the fries in a little container with a lid so you can just pop open the lid and have at it instead of a messy bag. It's always more than enough food and they have tons of menu items to choose from. The restaurant is clean and bright and I don't mind waiting around there for my food. My dad is a regular customer here and whenever I'm in town this used to be my go to place for gyros. Today April 24th, my family and I came in here to get 3 combo meals and 2 extra orders of gyros. And on another transaction, we later paid extra for feta cheese. None of the workers were wearing gloves while handling the food and the woman grabbed fries out of the bag with her bare hands. Spend like $50. Came home and we found hair in 2 out of 5 of the gyros. Called the store and the owner wanted us to bring it back to see the hair in the food. When we brought back the two gyros, the manager wanted to offer new ones which was a nice gesture. But honestly we all lost our appetite so we asked him for a full refund. He demanded that we bring the ALL the food back. My dad responded that he will bring the food back the following day because it's a waste of our time having to come back for a third time and my dad suggested that they start wearing hair nets. He gives a refund for the food. Irritated with the fact that he demanded we bring everything back, I get back to my parents house, grab everything and drive back for a third time. I bring the food to the store, and also asked for the refund for the feta, and the manager gave me attitude by asking how much we tipped as well and grabbed money out of the tip jar and added with the money for the cheese. The food is delicious, & fresh but very small portions. Feta cheese is slightly visible and not detected on the palate. "Plates" don't include rice, only bread. Most places call the rice dish a plate, and the salad the salad with bread. Meat portions are very small. But, if they increased portion sizes, it would be a 5! read more
