Did a post-workout birthday celebration for dinner here and WOW, honestly some of the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. I had the beef souvlaki plate and the beef was perfectly cooked. The tzatziki sauce was amazing. The side of fries we also ordered were crispy and loaded with garlic. Turkish coffee was so strong. The food took a little while to come out. Maybe 30-45 minutes, but we had a big group of 15+ and the restaurant appears to be family owned with a small amount of staff. If it was just a small group, the food probably would have came out faster. The woman there was so nice and friendly and was very accommodating with our requests! Koftah wrap and they included some hummus. I believe the hummus has zatar blended in. The wrap has a nice amount of lettuce, tomato, and cukes. On another visit, I had a gyro which I personally prefer more. The Koftah seasoning doesn't hit all the notes I'm looking for but that's me. It's still very tasty. read more

We were set on Greek food for dinner. We walked into Bella Balducci and were immediately concerned with the atmosphere. We noticed Padria was close by, so we walked in. Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Modern, clean, dining area, with about 10 tables for seating. Sadly the food was underwhelming. The lamb was bland and soft with no seasoning. The tzatziki sauce was similar. The best thing was the Mediterranean dressing and pita bread. The lentil soup was also bland, needing some spicing up. Overall, it was edible. They are yet to be ready for dine-in I was planning to pick up couple of Sandwiches as takeout, so it was perfect for me. The owner was there (I assumed) - we had a nice chat until the chef was ready to get started. Ordered Chicken Souvlaki and Chicken gyro. Around 10 mins for the chef to prepare the sandwiches. The gentleman at the counter throw in an additional fries along with as a nice gesture. I appreciated that. Coming to the food - sandwiches were really good. The owner gently approached us to let us know how the restaurant worked, understanding that we were probably new. I asked for the house favorite, which was the Gormah-sabzi with lamb shank. I got the chicken soltani kabob plate, which is chicken kabob and a beef koobideh (ground beef) kabob, on a bed or rice and served with yogurt sauce and a grilled tomato. Takeout order, took 10 minutes. Walked home with a pretty big box of food. Kabobs were decent in taste and size. There is a lot of rice with some saffron and other seasoning, and the grilled tomato is pretty good too. Wish there were some more veggies. Couldn't finish the food in one sitting. If you don't love this quaint little restaurant then you probably don't like puppies or babies either. I've been in twice now, adorable young couple (tongue in cheek) own and run the place, and they are both delightful. I had the gyro on visit one, and the gyro salad on visit two. I really want to try the lamb shank, but I'm saving that for date night. On visit one they were experiencing internet problems, so the wife told me to just take my meal and if the credit card charge didn't go through in a couple of days please call them and pay over the phone (it went through). On visit number two I had a glass of wine while I waited for my to go order, and I enjoyed the wine so much that I asked to purchase the remainder in the bottle (about half). They insisted that I just take it with me, which I did after dropping a $20 in their tip jar. The food is solid, the service is delightful, and if you are tired of some bored 25 year old who acts like your presence is disturbing their quality alone time, you will love this spot. Padria is my absolute favorite Mediterranean food anywhere in the Kirkland area - the gyro-style lamb is SO tender. The portions are generous, the tzatziki is creamy and dill forward, which is my preference, the pita is always fresh and soft and the prices are extremely reasonable. The couple who own and run the restaurant are just lovely as well. My quick thoughts are: - Fresh ingredients including produces - Good quality meat - Perfectly prepared rice - Lamb gyro plate is awesome and highly recommended. - The other chicken dishes are good but nothing above and beyond. Stopped by for a quick lunch and the lamb gyro is just phenomenal! The biggest and dare I say most delicious gyro I have ever had. The hummus and pita bread it came with was just to die for. Padria is located in a new development type of mixed-use housing village. It's a rather pleasant surprise to find a solid eatery with some good eats, good portions, and reasonable prices. The lady owner is very nice. I called ahead and placed the order for a later pick-up. It was ready for pickup and ready to go when I arrived. I paid in person. The food: Ghormeh Sabzi - 5 stars This is a Persian herb stew with a seasoned lamb shank over a bed of basmati rice. It's supposed to include a side of salad, tzatziki, and pita bread, but I didn't get the side salad. This dish was identified as a House favorite on the menu. I've never had a dish like this before, and it was flavorful and generously portioned. Falafel Salad - 3.5 stars Falafel patties served on a bed of Romaine lettuce topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives served with side of tzatziki and pita bread. Their website menu doesn't say it has cheese, but their website's photo gallery shows cheese. I requested no cheese. You might want to double check. The salad part is good; all the veggies were fresh. The falafel patties didn't stand out unfortunately. I ate them drowned in the tzatziski sauce to give it some flavor. Solid spot for Mediterranean eats. We had planned to walk our dog at Juanita Beach Park, yet needed some fuel. Therefore, I visited Padria Mediterranean Cafe for a late lunch, which turned out to be delicious! Located in the Juanita neighborhood of Kirkland, Padria is in the main business area across from the Juanita Beach Park. Parking was easy to find, right in front of the shop. They do have tables for outdoor dining, as well as tons of seating inside. However, because of COVID-19, they are only doing takeout, which you can order through Yelp, if you want to plan ahead. I asked the friendly employee what he recommended and he said the lamb gyro plate, so I went with it. It sounded appetizing and am a fan of lamb. I was told to wait outside due to safety guidelines and the same employee delivered my food to me. The lamb plate came with pita rice, a side salad, pita and tzatziki. I was impressed with the packaging, as everything was neatly organized, with the side salad in a separate container. And the salad was very fresh with romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes and red onion in a light vinaigrette. Compared to many other places that give you a default side salad, I was impressed. The plate was a huge portion! There were lots of tender lamb gyro meat on a bed of rice with pita, which was cut into four slices. It was definitely two meals in one. I was pleased with the food, and would order this again or try something else, as they have a ton of yummy offerings, such as kabobs, a Persian stew, gyros, etc. I would recommend Padria if you're looking for a solid spot for Mediterranean food with fresh ingredients. I love and miss this place so much. We got the koftah, beef souvlaki sandwich, and kids chicken and rice. Called for a pick up order and it was ready when they said it would be - 15 minutes. Still warm when we got home 25 min away. Fast and friendly service. The koftah are my favorite! The kids plate is such a generous portion of succulent flavorful chicken and lentil rice. My husband didn't share his beef souvlaki sandwich so im guessing that means it was good! But there were huge chunks of great steak. Very generous portion. However, the hummus that came with the sandwich was way too bitter for me. Not sure what makes it so bitter but none of us were able to eat it. Hence -1 star. read more

Kind of amongst a bunch of shops in Juanita Village is a small Mediterranean restaurant called Padria. I have been here many times before and during Covid. The quality selection of menu items has always been fantastic and the quality has always been top notch. And service has changed only due to limited services due to Covid.
