*****TLDR- uncooked falafel***** It's the first Greek restaurant I have been to where the falafel was completely uncooked. I have eaten dry falafels and under cooked falafels in the past but never came across falafels where the inside was a raw slurry like paste. Too high cooking heat, too much water in the batter can cause this. Disappointed to say the least as this place is highly recommended by yelpers and made its place in Yelp top 100 as well. I did talk to our waitress about the falafel, she agreed they were uncooked and she got us a couple of extra as compensation. Unfortunately the new batch was more raw and undercooked than what we were originally served. They seriously need to figure out what's wrong and fix it. Though I hate wasting food, all the falafels were inedible and we had to throw them. Falafels aside, rest of the items were actually pretty decent. Barring the pita bread which tasted non descript, the chicken was beautifully cooked, the sauces were all amazing. The garlic dip was the best. They also had a green chilli sauce, I loved the heat from this one. The rice was unique as well, some kind of herbaceous flavor and nice separate grains of rice. Honestly used to love this place but the quality and service has gone down alot recently. Their staff has a lot of attitude and the last 2 times I've been there they've given me lower quality food. Had again recently, would say the food here is pretty tasty, a bit on the pricer side but are cheaper compared to other restaurants with this type of food. They have similar options but all their options are tasty which is nice. They give you a nice size portion of food. The service is pretty good, they are all nice. I have only ever gotten takeout from here but they have plenty of tables for groups if ever wanting to dine in. I was very disappointed with the gyro plate. There were very little chunks of meat instead of long gyros . I wish I took a picture of the plate. I ordered take out for my family 08/27 at 5:30 pm . Three Avolegmono soup were ok. Two lamb gyro plates and 1 French fries with feta/ gyro. She even forgot to give me the spicy feta. It was all chunks of meat and not a gyro. I was so curious to try this place seeing all the rave reviews online. It did not disappoint! I tried their signature lamb Gyro, which was absolutely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the two sauces that it came with as well, especially the tzatziki sauce. The inside of the restaurant is quite cute. The blue tables and white walls are reminiscent of Santorini. On the back wall, there's a news article about the business owner who immigrated to the United States many years ago with the dream of providing authentic Greek food in America. If they think you're not familiar with the ordering, the person at the counter gives you a tour of the menu boards including opportunities for special orders like splitting proteins on platters as "half this and half that". The employees all look so happy, they genuinely appear to enjoy being there and that makes for a great environment for diners! Remembering their generous portions, we decided to order one of their combo platters and split the proteins.. half lamb and half beef. ALL well seasoned and delicious! We chose the french fries vs the salad.. next time I think we will get the salad and get a full order of the fries on the side. We were duelling over those perfectly crispy coated sticks of golden potato goodness! If sharing, order a couple of extra pita and you'll have plenty for two! We also ordered their spanakopita.. so light, flaky. Next visit I think we will order their avgolemono soup. A lemony Greek chicken soup that compliments their platters perfectly! The best customer service I have had in years! We came here with a friend and our kids, my son made a mess and I wanted to give an extra tip but you know what they sad? "Kids should be kids, no worries at all" and refused to accept money I am sure all parents who went out with little kids understand how it made me feel. The food was absolutely delicious -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. What really made the evening special, though, was the incredible customer service. The staff was so friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. They didn't even know we were celebrating a birthday until we started singing "Happy Birthday," yet they went above and beyond afterward -- surprising us with a couple of their amazing fried cheese dishes and some delightful fried dough balls that reminded me of donut holes. This place 99.9% of the times delivers and hits the spot especially with the gyro plate. Customer service is their key selling point as they greet you when you enter and thank you for your order. I usually order to go gyro plate with a double hummus and more than often they hook me up with a ton of hummus and a side of the omg green sauce that's super spicy and the garlic sauce that I can never digest properly. This restaurant was recommended to me by a good friend of mine and I am so happy I made time to stop by while visiting family in Santa Clarita. I enjoyed everything I ate, so much flavor from the lamb gyro to the tsatsiki sauce they make in house. Was greeted by a young lady with a big smile and great personality. Even though I didn't dine in I thought the restaurant had a nice Greek feel kind of dining room. Plenty of parking outside and a nice patio area. We had lunch here today and we're very disappointed. I ordered, my husband picked up. First of all, they have changed the recipe on the Augolemono soup. It does not taste anything like it used to not only does it have rice in it, but they put a ton of potatoes in it too, which it never used to have and it was exceptionally salty. That was my go to soup when I was sick and now I will never never eat it again again I just wanna warn other people that it is not the same same as it used to be. I also also had the souvlaki chicken and it was not good either. I feel like I just wasted $50 for lunch. it seems to me that they are cutting costs with the food and raising the prices. Every time I've walked in there there's no one in there and now I know why. Yesterday I ordered a plate and the worker put very little meat with my order so I asked him if he would put more and he said I would need to pay double meat. I agreed then came the veggies and he was skimping on the portions and I asked him to put more and he gets an attitude. We've been going to Gyromania for years. YEARS. And we love it. Usually order family style - a couple of salads with pork or chicken, a couple of plates with lamb or beef, feta fries and always loukoumades. We love the food and it's one of our favorite places to get food to go and sometimes dine-in. But what I really love the most about Gyromania is how involved they are in our community. I remember a very generous act they made towards a friend of mine probably 4 or 5 years ago. So when I wanted to have a fundraising night to help a local family - I thought of Gyromania. The owner was so quick, and so easy, and from the moment I emailed asking if they could help, I think the entire thing was booked, settled and confirmed within 8-10 minutes. To have fundraising nights most companies have forms online, long wait periods, corporate approvals and rules about which organizations they can support.
