We used to celebrate birthdays here when it was the previous owner. He loved seeing everyone come together at his restaurant and we truly miss him. That said, the new owner has been amazing too. I'm so happy with the way things have continued. The food is even a little better, and you can definitely tell there's a woman's touch throughout the restaurant. Local eatery in a strip mall. The food was ok not great. Everything was served on cheap and flimsy plates. We were tired and just wanted to have something to fill the stomach for the night. The family meal for two has beef and chicken kebab, salad and bread. The chicken was flavorful with aroma of saffron but the beef was not of fine quality; it was hard to chew to break tissues off. Salad standard. The fish and chip, had burned a bit on the side. The crinkle cut fries was awful! It tasted soggy and cheap with a mushy potato filling. It is probably the worst type of French fries out there. The shape, strangely retaining excess oil, makes it soggier than traditional fries. I wouldn't recommend the fish and chip in here. Casual eatery. Service was nice. Friendly and professional owner made us feel welcomed. read more

I guess these new owners thought that because they got so many reviews saying the food was bland they decided to add more salt to the chicken Shawarma. I took one bite of a piece of chicken Shawarma and all I could taste was salt, it literally felt like I was licking a salt lick. I tried to push through and continue eating it anyway, but I was feeling like I was going to choke. I called in since I live a minute away right around the corner, to let them know how terrible it was, she put me on hold like she was going to taste it and came back on the phone and said "OK, what do you want? We close in 30 minutes and cannot make a new batch of chicken shawarma" She did not apologize or agree, it was salty. She did not offer to give me my money back! When I returned, she said they didn't do anything different and had never gotten any complaints and proceeded to ask me what I wanted instead. I asked for something that was a dollar more and she said no because it was more expensive so I decided to go with the beef tri-tip Shawarma. When I got home, I was even more disappointed and shocked. The TriTip was hard, dry, burnt and flavorless like they put no seasoning at all. I guess that was to show me that their food was not salty. Sadly, I will not be returning to this place ever again. Please don't waste your money and your time, the customer service is horrific and the owners are not accountable for their below par food. read more

The chicken luleh tasted old, like it had been sitting around for a long time, and after one bite I knew I could not continue eating it. As others have mentioned, this place has gone downhill with the new ownership as it feels like the ingredients and flavors have taken a step down from where they used to be. The meats taste okay but everything else is bland or stale. Prices are absurd for the quality of food you get compared to other Greek/Med places in SCV. Tried this place for the 1st time this week at the request of my kids. My son loved the cheeseburger and fries and asked for a 2nd helping of the garlic sauce. My younger son & I enjoyed the combo plate (chicken and beef). Meat was tender and the sides were also delicious (hummus, yogurt dip, Greek salad, & rice). Big enough portion for us to share. Went for the first time today and ordered the lamb kabob which was very tender. The food was good and more reasonably priced then other mediterranean places I have been too. The big bonus was a young lady who waited on us named Ada. She was very warm and friendly and explained the food choices. She is a people magnet. NO FLAVOR, at all. I was bummed since it was my family's first time trying this place. We ordered two kabob combos with chicken/beef, salad, rice, hummus & extra pita bread. It's so disappointing to be wasteful with food but it was not even edible after a few bites. The chicken was partially tough but also oddly rubbery. The beef was chewy and stretchy. Hummus had no taste to it either. I'm not sure what I just ate and completely lost my appetite. Hopefully the owner can address the lack of food quality, so future customers don't have to deal with this. A refund should be given for the unfortunate situation. read more

Ordered the Kabob plate for $14.99, and received 4 tiny pieces. Not even enough for my son sadly. Both the Kabob and the other meats were salty, but not a lot of other flavor. The worst part was the sauces- both the hummus and the cucumber yogurt sauce tasted fermented and fizzy, I think it was old and spoiled, that or they have the strangest sauce recipe. We decided to not eat it because the majority of the family thought it was spoiled. Overall, there are so many better options, but quality is a huge issue here. read more
