Practically flavorless. I had the Wrap (beef), the lavish wrap was stale and breaking apart, impossible to enjoy, made a mess. Usually I would have taken this plate back. It didn't appear owner/management were on site anyway. Service was minimal. Left nothing but a negative experience in our minds. Not the way to build business. I don't know about the other Sam's Flaming Grill locations, but the one in Canyon Country is definitely not worth spending a penny on. I ordered their lunch special chicken .salad and a baklava, and it was a huge disappointment. The lettuce leaves were old and soggy, not fresh at all. The chicken didn't taste right either -- it seemed overcooked leftover and dry. The salad had almost no flavor, and the presentation looked like they just threw it together. The baklava wasn't much better -- overly sweet and lacking the fresh, flaky texture it should have. Overall, I was really disappointed with the quality of the food. Ok I've tried giving this place multiple chances. I do like the food. It is tasty. But between getting multiple orders wrong, leaving out detailed items I'd ask for, even tho I'd be charged for those items... to now, i found a long piece of plastic in my cucumber yogurt and when i STILL went back and ordered again, i mentioned it to the manager and an excuse was given. Good place for a quick meal and if you are craving Mediterranean food. They don't have table service and dessert options are limited. The place was pretty empty when I walked in on a Monday night but seemed to have a steady stream of customers who opted for take out. I ordered chicken shawarma wrap which was $7.99, which was pretty amazing because you don't see those prices anymore. Wrap was huge and was cut in the middle, served with a side of garlic sauce and very filling. The wrap was not made with pita, but lavash and so the taste was just ok. This is really too bad because I feel as though the food itself was great but based on my experience I cannot recommend. I ordered a falafel wrap which is not anything particularly out of the ordinary or special. After i ordered the young woman who took my order just stood around. I didn't notice anyone making my food so I thought oh I guess they're making it in the back. NOPE! This establishment serves wonderful food. It's a small storefront place in a very busy shopping plaza. Parking can be tricky but there are spaces that open up. Two really nice young men run the place. They're sometimes overwhelmed because of the amount of orders during busy time. We waited 60 minutes for our food and there was a missing item The food we did get was delicious! Chicken kebab platter, lamb kebab platter, veggie platter, salmon platter. All were fantastic! Found this little gem on Yelp (where else ) because our usual was out of shawarma. This place is by my office so thought I'd give it a shot. Here are some thoughts about my visit: Food: The chicken kebab was just okay. The chicken was dry, and I wish the chicken was more tender because the flavor was good. I enjoyed the rice, salad, and hummus though, but the chicken is the main attraction that didn't meet my expectations. I've had better, so I guess I wasn't expecting much. Wow, I'm almost shocked at how bad the food was. This has no Middle Eastern flavor, very bland. I ordered the two chicken shish kebabs combo. The rice is plain, "salad" was basically lettuce with a few tomatoes, chicken tasted like they forgot any seasoning (even lacking salt) not even the hummus was good. For $20 I expected at least a little bit of mid eastern flavor! I was so craving this type of food and couldn't have been more disappointed. Guess I'll be driving out to the valley next time I'm craving Mediterranean/middle eastern :( read more

When I working in the SCV a while back, I came here for lunch a few times. It's tucked in the plaza just off of Magic Mountain Parkway which is hiden from the main street. I was looking for something decently healthly so i came here. I used order the chicken kebab with rice and hummus. It also came a roasted tomato which I didn't touch at all. The food was so so and a bit pricey for what you get. You didn't get much from the lunch special. Chicken kebab was three to four small chunks of chicken. After a few times, I wanted better kebab and found It's A Wrap which isn't too far away from the freeway. Food there is great and service more friendly. Alex the manager helped us decide to use them by giving us samples of their food, even when we popped in unexpectedly without an appointment. He took his time to explain everything and the food he gave us to try was delicious. We decided to go with them and they did not disappoint! The portions were enormous and delicious and fresh; I'm middle eastern and I can say the food is truly authentic. Literally the first place I saw was Sam's Flaming Grill. I ordered two wraps: the veggie falafel and the chicken Shwarma. She LOVED both of them, never having had Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food before. I am somewhat familiar with Med/MidEast food, and this is the best I have ever had. Giving four stars because falafels are so mealy and gritty. If they would improve those, it would definitely warrant 5 stars. My company has catered from Sam's plenty. I would typically eat the salad, rice, hummus, and lavash. The hummus and rice are super salty and garlicky and I'm a fan of that. There aren't many Mediterranean options in SCV, so it's fortunate that Sam's is a pretty good one. read more
