Our waitress recommended a good wine and a good beer for us, both Greek of course. She ordered the chicken kabobs with Greek potatoes, and I had the Greek platter with chicken kabob and lamb with rice and peas. Both plates were huge! And the taste, it was perfect! Not too spicy, but very favorable. It's too bad we're leaving tomorrow since we'd definitely come back!

Generous portion of gyro. The salad was huge. Feta cheese tasted odd. Very salty and had an old/not fresh taste to it. My friend had the Greek combo plate which had gyro meat, a chicken kebab, grilled pita, and a side. We sat up at the bar and had great service. They had a cocktail menu with their seasonal specials. My friend had the apple crisp made with Crown Apple. At $14 it seemed a little steep. I stuck with Jack Daniels and Diet Coke and at $9 that still seemed a little high and enough not to merit a second drink. The Greek has a lot going for it. It has a good vibe with friendly staff. If they can work on the menu a little more and dial back the salt content on the food this place would be on my list of Greektown choices. I don't know if I will give this place a third try with so many other options all within walking distance.

There's something special about walking into a place that's been part of your life for that long. The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming -- that classic Greektown energy with a comfortable, familiar feel. Whether it's a busy weekend night or a more relaxed weekday dinner, the staff keeps things moving and stays friendly and attentive. The food is why I keep coming back year after year. The saganaki is a must -- flaming cheese, a little show, and that perfect salty bite with lemon. The gyro platter is generous and flavorful, with tender meat and warm pita. The Greek salad is always fresh, loaded with feta, and dressed just right. Portions are hearty and consistently satisfying. After more than two decades of visits, Pegasus has never let me down. It's dependable, flavorful, and full of character. If you're in Greektown and want a tried-and-true Greek spot with history and heart, this is it.

Definitely come here on an empty stomach because the plates were so filling. I do think this place is over priced as well. The bread they give out to you in the beginning is not the greatest. But the food I ate was pretty decent, just wouldn't get it again.

My family and I had to wait over half an hour for drinks. When our food was delivered to the table I had received burnt toast, uncooked eggs and potatoes and so did the rest of my table. I do understand it's busy, but giving people food poisoning is concerning. I would rather my food take longer to cook than have uncooked eggs. Hoping someone had a better experience than my family did as spending $200 on food that I didn't eat was not a great experience. The staff were very polite however, I wish they were more focused on their tables.

We had visited (seemingly under past owners), and I would have given the food maybe 3-4 stars. Interesting combinations of food, decent prices and service. Now I don't want to rip on new owners, but some pretty unacceptable food and drink this last visit. The cream was curdled, luckily due to Covid we were on their 3 table sidewalk patio, so my gf dumped the coffee in a flower planter. Another gentleman sat down and asked if they were trying to trick him, as the sugar in the sugar bowl was rock solid!!! lol Menu had some pretty funny spelling errors, oh well it happens. I had the Spinach Pie Benedict- it was two eggs and hollandaise on top of a piece of spinach pie! Not bad, but the eggs were poached very hard. Gf had the gyro benny, and it was definitely not comparable to the previous visits to Etta's. Fool me once, shame on you! You know how the rest goes...

The pita which encased all of this goodness was a revelation: crispy on the outside, but soft and pliable. I also got the Greek donuts. Omg. When fresh out the kitchen they are outstanding. They are crunchy outside and chewy soft inside. The texture was reminiscent of the malasadas I grew up on in Hawaii. Also not overly sweet, which I appreciated. I opted for the standard sweet sauce, but I left wanting to try all the toppings. This place is nuts. My only regret is that I left town and couldn't try lunch. Also, service was great: prompt and very friendly.

The menu is hard to see if there's a line and everyone waiting for the food was blocking the area to try and check out the menu closer. Any way, there are several outdoor tables and there are maybe 4 stools inside. Someone recommended the vegetable gyro so we got that plus added chicken. I thought all the gyro sandwiches come with fries in it but ours did not (not sure if it was supposed to but I was bummed it didn't). It had a good taste, but I was a bit disappointed it didn't live up to the hype. I will have to try something else and check this place out again though as everyone was friendly and it's definitely popular. It's a messy sandwich for sure, so grab some extra napkins and make sure you're somewhere you can wash your hands afterwards!
