The crew of about 4-5 guys came in the morning and they were done in a few hours. My wife told me they were all super kind and patient. My 7 year old son kept asking to help them and they made a deal with him that if he helped a bit they would give him some money at the end of the job. Of course he agreed and jumped in that offer. Jeff and Nick have been maintaining my quirky at best older AC system for the past 15 years and…read morethroughout the past couple of years it had become apparent that I was on borrowed time with it.. This year the inevitable happened and while stressful, I at least knew I wouldn't have to call around and get bids. Nicholas Aire is great at what they do and I trust them and so there was no question about who I was going to hire to install my new system. Jeff worked very hard on finding a heat pump system that works with my annoyingly small attic and would be more efficient overall since my house is a bungalow (ie small). While I didn't shop around or get other bids, they seem to be in the middle of the going rate for HVAC installs these days from what I've seen. Jeff and the install team got the install done in three days with amazing attention to detail and even cleaned up some old wiring to make things on the outside look as nice and clean as possible. They also ran a very clean job site and made sure to clean up every day and treated all of my pets including the 100 pound backyard tortoise who is always in everyone's business with care and respect. My new system works great and Jeff made sure to go over it and test every vent to make sure it was all working properly. Finally, I feel it also needs to be pointed out that Jeff and Donna in the office have the patience of a saints when it comes to dealing with people and customer service. For context, my background is in urban planning and I'm keenly aware that when it comes to projects in my home I ask very specific questions that have nothing to do with the overall scope of the project but also at the same time I know nothing about HVAC systems which leads to even more annoying questions from me. (Seriously, I'm the worst.) Jeff patiently answered all of my questions one by one and somehow managed to not strangle me in the process because if I were him I would have. I got someone over within the next hour. Put 3 lbs of violent in and chested me $85 less than I paid Nicholas Sire in March. The company had gone downhill since they moved into an office from their home. Well, guess what Donna I am replacing the unit in a few weeks and you won't be getting my business for that or anything else. You should learn to treat loyal customers better and with more respect.
