This is a family owned company and they do service calls, installation and repair/replace. They install HVAC systems for mansions and tiny houses like mine. Their prices are always fair and they actually care about their customers. You can't go wrong with iComfort so just use them and be done with it. iComfort has the cutest truck. I am not giving them 5 stars because of the adorable truck, but it is ever so cute. Our client is looking to purchase a huge home and there are so many inspections that must be done before the close of the contingency you are given to get them done. We explained this to iComfort and they got it. They were out right away and did a great report and spent the time needed to look at all the systems of the house. The HVAC is on the roof, what a pain, but it is what it is. They did not complain. They just did their job. They were timely, which is a must for me. I had a HVAC company that we used a few times an they just did not respond to me when I wanted. We won't be using them again and their work was slow, ever so slow. iComfort, on the other hand knew we were in a hurry and they met the challenge. We got a detailed inspection report from them and if our client decides to buy we will use them for all the repair and replacement. We trust them. We appreciate the immediate response to this review. If only the same time, effort and detail the owner took to defend his bidding system could have been applied towards full disclosure on the bids proposed (unit cost/warranty cost/labor fees/taxes), instead of being cloaked as a benefit passed onto the consumer as a streamlined one size fits all rate. All seasoned companies have templates on hand to swap out info based on unit and labor. This was not a complicated job, it was a small mini split single AC unit for a 10x10 bedroom. Additionally the owner changed his reply here, (which I screen shot and uploaded as he is likely to change again after this update) stating 4 options were offered. This is untrue. 3 Mitsubishi offers were submitted when we were clear we did not want a Mitsubishi. A single bid for a Gree model was sent only after we questioned why we got bids for units we said we didn't want. In all reality, nothing was overlooked, we were provided one option with no transparency. To compare our ask of an itemized bid on a $6,490-$7,430 job range, to the asking for an itemization of a "meal" at a restaurant is ridiculous. I stand by my experience, and again for what it's worth, if a someone asks for clarity, a company should be able to answer without resistance or opacity. Original review below We are really disappointed dealing with this company since it was referred to us by a friend. We are giving them 2 stars only because the salesman's dog had recently passed and ours did too, so we briefly bonded over that. Other than that, we did feel like we were misled. We stated we absolutely did NOT want Mitsubishi because it is overpriced, and he said there were other units and options they had that he can bid out to us. So upon getting the first email with 3 bids, they were for ALL Mitsubishi units and not one of them was itemized by cost for the model, parts, warranty, labor, taxes, etc. Just one lump sum for the brand we absolutely said we did NOT want. So upon reaching out and asking, why are we getting bids for Mitsubishi when we said we didn't want Mitsubishi? The salesman said he just did it quickly to give us an "idea" and he can get us more bids later on in the day. This was really frustrating to us as business owners, because now we're ensnared with additional emails back-and-forth which was either incompetence or a bait and switch. Either way it's a was wasted time for all. Additionally we also stated we needed the new bids to be itemized by cost with the make/model, any parts, the warranty plan, the labor, taxes, etc. We were told then told the owners "don't do that". We deal with detailed legal contracts for a living in the entertainment industry and never in our careers have we seen a bid come through where it is not itemized for the scope of the job. Nor when asked to itemize, was told it cannot be done. Anything can be done. As a consumer, transparency is paramount. Even a mechanic will itemize a spark plug cost and the labor cost for the work to be done and that is for a small job. To ask for a $6,490-$7,430 range job and not itemize any absurd. Again giving them 2 stars because we felt bad that the salesman's dog also recently died. But you can surmise for yourself what you think. My AC went out right at the beginning of this last heatwave! I called my landlord who sent out 2 different companies. The first one wasn't even equipped with the right parts needed. The second didn't even show up I finally gave her the phone number for iComfort who I have used before at previous properties. They came out same day and got the AC running!! Technician Javier was polite and clean! He wore shoe covers anytime he was inside and communicated throughout the entire service. He explained that the system is very old and will need to be replaced. Fortunately, he had all the parts needed for an immediate fix. We had a problem with power to our Nest thermostat. iComfort had been the original installers back in 2019 and we had a very positive experience with them at that time. When I called this morning it seemed as if we would have to wait until after the weekend, but then they called back and offered to fit us into what was probably a very busy day. Our technician, Henry B., was courteous, friendly and professional. My husband commented that it was one of the most pleasurable interactions with anyone coming to our home to solve a problem. We are very happy to have our thermostat working again. Not only did he solve our problem, he went over our entire HVAC system and alerted us to what could be future concerns. You sign up for a package which includes inspection, maintenance and filter replacement for your central heat & air. A technician comes out twice a year for service to maintain your unit. Such an amazing, honest, family-owned business! I met the owner George at a local trade show and explained to him I was told by another company that my heater was too old to find replacement parts and I would need to purchase a new unit, which we could not afford and have since been using a space heater to keep our baby warm. George told me of his experience with older heating units and was confident he could repair it and offered a complimentary house call. Upon inspection, George identified the problem and was able to get the part to repair the unit! He also identified a safety hazard with the gas line and said they could correct it when they make the other repair. George was very personable and transparent throughout the entire experience. He was able to give me an estimate for the cost of the repair and what would be included. Javier and Francisco came out to make the repair today, they were both very professional and knowledgeable. They were able to install the replacement parts quickly and tested both the heating and air conditioning units for functionality. My wife was pregnant and her due date was in August of 2019. Our AC went out about one week before our son was born. It was August and we were in the middle of a heat wave. I called another AC company from this list on Yelp. They came out once, said they fixed it, charged me and left. A day later, there was no change in the house temperature. I called them again and the came out and couldn't find the issue. They told me it was an electrical issue. I then called an electrician and the said, it was an AC issue. So I searched Yelp again and settled on iComfort. I called iComfort and they were out the next morning. The tech diagnosed the issue in about 15 minutes. He said it was AC 101. iComfort fixed the issue and really saved me when I was desperate. Baby was born 4 days later and all was well and cool. I have been calling George and iComfort for the past 5 years when issues arrive and they resolve them quickly and efficiently. I have trusted iComfort for the past 5 years. When the summer heat started to get intense at the end of June (2024), I turned on my central AC finally, once it got too uncomfortable in my house. Unfortunately, one of my two units wasn't working since the house wasn't cooling so I checked and confirmed that my 30 plus year old AC was blowing hot air. (The other unit was installed in 2009 and works fine.) I contacted 7 HVAC installers and iComfort H&AC was one of the last that I scheduled to assess my issue. (They were later in the meeting schedule as a result of scheduling.) Corey, the Senior Service Technician, arrived at my place on time and assessed the situation. He agreed that my old non-working unit was too old to recharge with Freon, as previous installers had already advised me of, but he assessed my duct work and determined that my old 4 ton unit was too large for my ducts and said that I should install additional new ducts or go with a 3 ton unit. Since I am on a limited budget I opted to go with the 3 ton unit since it would provide the same cooling as a larger and more expensive 4 ton unit since my ducts were insufficient for a 4 ton unit. Corey also informed me that I could claim a $2,000 IRS tax credit as a result of the Inflation Reduction Act (which I have confirmed) and that I could receive a $900 rebate from LADWP for the installation. (I just mailed that application in to LADWP this afternoon.) None of the other 6 installers told me about the LADWP rebate, and only one of the others told me about the $2,000 federal tax credit. Corey was able to quote me the job during our initial meeting IN WRITING, on his iPad and email me the quote. None of the others could provide a written quote immediately, and only one gave me a quote within 24 hours. Also, some of the other installers still have not quoted and it's been over a month since I met with them. Once I accepted the quote on 7/1/24, Corey arranged for the install to begin on 7/3/24 and it was concluded on Friday, 7/5/24. The installers, Manny, Omar, and Isaiah arrived on time both days and worked their tails off since I was observing them both days. All three were hard working, polite and laid down cloths and made it seem that they had never been in my house after working a full two days. They were incredibly professional, hard working and excellent at their jobs. I'm writing this review only on 8/6/24 since the work had to be inspected by the City of LA so I could file for the $900 LADWP rebate. That inspection happened today and Corey arrived here well before the inspector to oversee the inspection, which lasted 15 minutes and the certificate of approval was handed to me by the inspector. Now, that iComfort has completed its role, I can finalize my review and post it to Yelp. IComfort is FANTASTIC. If you read my other reviews, you'll see that I am difficult to please but iComfort did everything they said they would do and with professionalism that I RARELY EVER encounter. I feel obligated to advise you readers that they were about 10% more expensive than the next highest quote I actually did finally receive, but I have no regrets, whatsoever, about paying a bit more for outstanding service (and the unit is working just fine as I write this review in 100 degree weather) From beginning to end, they provided 5 star professional performance, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their work. read more

Last 2 years you guys were really good and all, but this time when I had the AC tune up, the person who came to replace the filter did a horrible job. My AC keeps making a weird sound Every time it turns on, and I didn't know why. I had to go look and the person who replaced the filter (Gustavo Contreras), didn't even have the right size filter, so every time the AC turns on, the filter would get suck up into there making a loud sound. Good thing I have an extra replacement filter to replace this bad job. If he can't even get that right, now I'm pretty hesitant to believe the tune up job on the AC was done correctly. iComfort came out as part of the LADWP AC Optimization program to perform a tune-up on my AC system. The technician was here for at least an hour cleaning out the coils, checking/adding coolant, replacing the air filter, and he even installed the free Nest thermostat. I can't believe the program is free. All work was done well and the company was on time. They used texts to confirm appointments too. Heads up: My appointment was scheduled 1-month from the date I called because they have a lot of work related to LADWP's program. The wait was fine with me--I recommend calling in early spring to make sure they can come out before summer heats up. I will use them again. read more

First thing to say is that Omar, Javier, and Daniel are amazing and deserve tons of recognition for their amazing work. Here's the long story, I bought my house quite a few years ago and it had an HVAC system that was over 30 years old at the time. I called iComfort for standard maintenance and see how long I could keep it running and they helped me keep it going for 9 years with their annual service agreement. Absolutely unbelievable... About a month ago, the furnace finally stopped working and Jorge came out and was able to get it working again for a short time. I asked for a quote for a full system replacement and Corey was able to give me several detailed quotes and fully explained every question and concern I had. After attempting to get some additional opinions and extra quotes for the new system (with some even being arrogant telling me anything could be fixed and then after examining it, the other guy backtracked saying it would need to be fully replaced), I decided to move forward with iComfort. They were able to do the duct work that was needed and completely replace the system in absolutely record shattering time. After our system was fully installed, we had a minor issue due to a manufacturer part not working properly and Corey came out and fixed it on a Sunday. Again, I'm blown away by the customer service and I fully plan on continuing to use them for the foreseeable future for all my HVAC needs. Then the guys show up, a reflection of the owner, Jorge and the company culture he has cultivated in the company. We hired Icomfort for a pretty big renovation project on our home. They installed a brand new Bosch hvac system as well as some other additional equipment (fresh air system, new Nest thermostats) for the new addition to our home. They also installed some UV air purifiers to our existing hvac system. They were very helpful and responsive throughout the construction process and we were really happy with their install team. Corey was very knowledgeable in recommending the best options/solutions for our project. The install team, Omar and Emmanuel were very professional and resourceful in working around some issues that came up. We appreciated that they also took their time to explain things to us and ensure that we were happy with their work. Since May this year I having issues with lenix thermostat unit is less than five years old,I call for service and they're no call ,no show I call again and have be rescheduled two three weeks later,I've been put on priority calls and again. No call no show,,from July. 12 been put priority 3 times and now rescheduled for Aug 13...company is IComfort using only Lenix thermostat..Do not buy from them, needless to say they're service is HORRIBLE. A week ago, my air conditioner just cut out on me so I went to look at the thermostat to see if it needed a battery and when trying to take it off the wall, it fell into a bunch of pieces on the floor . I had used iComfort about two years ago and they did a really nice job so I found their card and gave them a call..Jorge my technician was very knowledgeable and had my air conditioner running in about a half hour . He also had three choices for new thermostats and I chose the nest third generation. we had trouble looking up the thermostat to my phone. It was saying we didn't have Internet connection so he was going to bring a new thermostat and try and fix the problem .he came the next day with the new thermostat and we still couldn't git it to hook up to my phone, so I decided to call spectrum my Internet company and they came out the same day and it was my old equipment. to make a long story short I comfort is an excellent company.
