After 1 PM, I revived a text that they were "still stuck on this move." I thanked them for the update and asked for an estimated arrival time. At 3 PM, two hours later, I asked for an additional update and was told "not exactly sure, today." At 4 PM I called and received no answer. At 6 PM I called again and was told they would arrive between 7 and 8 PM. They did not arrive. I called multiple times after 8 PM and received no answer or return text. Finally at 10:17 PM, I received a text that they were "getting on the freeway." By that time, I had obviously already made alternate arrangements and had booked more expensive last minute movers for the next morning and payed extra to delay the date of the moving container pickup. I can understand a job running over an hour, maybe even two. But, I cannot understand a lack of communication or poor customer service. It seemed the company had two options: tell their morning customer that the 5 hours they booked were up and they had to fulfill a commitment to another customer at that point; or, tell me at 1 PM that they made a mistake and could not make it, allowing me the time to find other movers during business hours on a Friday afternoon. The clerk was late opening but quick to leave us stranded at closing. This is not the best part of town at night. The bus arrived 3 hours late. I tried calling every number found on Google . That was a joke. This trip was for my elderly husband who was told that they would not make the Riverside connection. We were told by passengers exiting the bus in Banning of a traffic accident that made them late. The driver stated they were limping along no stops to Los Angeles. Judging by the bus I could see the limping part. It was one of those buses that are used for charter. No Greyhound wording anywhere. We were told that there probably wasn't any seats available if my husband went to LA being the Christmas week . So he didn't take the trip to see his daughters in San Diego. Will we get a refund who knows. This shady bus lines is not the bus lines of yesteryear. Use Extreme caution if considering a purchase on this bus line. Banning isn't Beverly Hills but last time I checked we are paying customers who deserve better.
