I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. We were on a trip, hauling our own trailer up the mountain to Sequoia National forest when our truck overheated (at 10 pm) on a steep grade. We were sitting on the side of the road with no cell phone reception, trying to figure out what we were going to do, when a truck that had passed us looped back around and offered to tow us (truck and trailer) up the hill to a safe place. Not only did he haul us safely to a gas station where we could sleep for the night, he came BACK the next day to check on us and hauled our trailer one hour to our campsite while my husband had the truck looked at by a mechanic. It was on our drive to camp that I discovered this angel of a human owned an RV rental company. The owners of this business saved my family's vacation-and he refuses to accept any money in exchange. Thank you so much for making this vacation awesome! From answering my incessant questions, to making changes on the fly, to quick payments, easy on time delivery, quick setup, clean trailer and easy pickup, I can't say enough good things about this family owned business. We chose to have the trailer delivered to Lodgepole campground at the top of the Sequoia National Park because we don't have a car big enough to tow 26 feet and really, even if I did, I wouldn't want to go up that mountain with something that big on that crazy road. Was it a costly addition? Yup. Was it worth it? Hell yes! I would do it again! The rental itself was very reasonable considering we stayed for 6 days. It was the older four winds trailer. Not the newest kid on the block but it got the job done! It did show its age but I wasn't there to enter it into a fashion show. The trailer had nothing inside except for sheets on the main bed and a coffee maker. Bring your own stuff to fill it. Not a big deal since we usually camp and pack that stuff anyway. Would it be a nice amenity? Yes but then it would be more expensive wouldn't it? We opted to dry camp, which meant no generator. They warned us the propane tanks were full but the battery would only last about two days. Haha! Challenge accepted! Made that battery last all six days by only using the stove, fridge, washing dishes sparingly inside and only using the bathroom toilet when necessary - read here middle of night and too lazy and cold to run to camp bathroom. That is why Costco gives us giant lanterns for 19.99. Make sure your campsite can handle the right size trailer, saw more than one person crash a trailer or truck into rocks as they tried and tried to make it fit. Overall would totally use them again! I had the best camping experience with this rental business. My husband and I live in Los Angeles calif and wanted to rent a Rv and have it set up and delivered to Yosemite Lower pines for 6 days. I had read all the reviews on H & I Rv rental and just had a good feeling. When I called and spoke with Jennie I had the best customer service and guidance as to how to plan my Rv camping excursion. Jennie assisted me with the reservation and all the financial assistance. She made our vacation a pleasant experience. Worse experience ever !!!! No Hot water for showers (they knew it was broken before renting and still didn't fix it ) The heater would turn off in the middle of the night and our kids were so cold at night . We did try to communicate with the owners but they Still did nothing to help us . Would not recommend renting from this place . read more

We rented a trailer from H & I for one week. It happened to be a very hot week and the air conditioning in the trailer we rented went out on the 3rd day. We honestly thought we were out of luck and would have to deal with it but they sent a repair team out and had it fixed by the end of the day! I was so impressed and thankful! I have rented from H&I RV rental 2 times now and definitely will again. Their prices are amazing, and the rentals are in excellent condition - clean and stocked with all the necessities(bathroom,shower,microwave) you need while camping. My family has a yearly camping reunion trip every April, and H&I RV rental will be the only place I rent from.......I've already reserved my trailer for 2018!!!! I found H&I RV Rental on Outdoorsy because I was looking for rentals close to Hume Lake, CA. I live in San Diego and we were camping at Hume Lake for 8 nights, I wanted to find someone who was closer to that area and would deliver a trailer to the campground. I booked through Outdoorsy and communicated with H&I through the Outdoorsy site and a few times on the phone. They were super responsive and helpful in the planning and reservation for my rental. I rented the 30ft Prowler, we are a family of 5 (3 kids 11 and under). They set up the delivery time and everything and I ended up also renting a generator from them (which she gave me a deal). Since we had such a long drive up there, I asked if they would meet my friends (who were there before us) to turn over the keys and instructions. My friends were really impressed with the time they took to set everything up and level the trailer, they were very professional and thorough. The tank was full of water and we were ready for the 8 nights! The trailer was clean, no complaints at all. Everything ran smooth, no issues whatsoever! I was VERY pleased and happy with this rental. The guys picked it up when they said they would and even helped get one of my kids toys off the roof (I didn't want to go climbing up on their roof and damage anything). It was nice to just pack our car and drive the 8 hours without towing. I would highly recommend H&I and would use them myself again in the future! read more
