Update 3: after I wrote my last review, Freedom RV reached out to us and offered for us to ship the defective pump back and refunded us the fee for the pump. They will send the pump back to the manufacturer under warranty. We were happy to of course pay for the service fee for the install, since it wasn't Freedom RV's fault that the pump was defective. Listen, I don't do reviews. This is my second review ever. If you're buying a camper (RV/Travel Trailer) you need to come here. We went to every place in town and spent 6 months looking. We had been meaning to come here, but hadn't gotten around to it. This was our first Travel Trailer purchase for our young family. My wife and I put hours of research into it - but still had questions cause you don't know what you don't know. Jeff from Freedom RV took the time to answer all our questions. Walked us through probably 15-20 different trailers that could fit our needs and explained the difference of each - really just to walk through my dumb questions. He was awesome. We bought a trailer - exactly what we were looking for from Jeff. Not once did I feel like "this guy is trying to sale me". All the research we had done, I could tell Jeff wasn't pulling my leg. We shopped around Fresno dealerships for a travel trailer for about a month before we decided to buy from Freedom RV. The whole process was very easy with no pressure to buy from the sales or finance departments. Review three years after purchase of Highland Open Range. We have had several small issues such as one of the selfs in the pantry collapsed due to no support under the cabinet bottom. I repaired myself. Kitchen sink came loose at one end and was hanging down an 1/2 inch. After inspection found it was poorly secured at factory. Repaired myself. The biggest and most concerning issue the floor has develop soft spots in front of the kitchen sink and our Lazyboy recliners. You can place a 36 inch level on the floor and when you step in this area it drops an 1/2 inch. The spot is growing too. Contacted the manufacturer and they claim this is normal foam deflection and won't do anything about it. It's a concern for us because we are older and easily get tripped and fall. We are pursuing all options to force the manufacturer to make the repair. I guess my recommendation is don't buy a Highlandridge product. Which is now built by Jayco. When purchasing ask what the floor is made of. We were told when we purchased our unit it was an 11/2 thick. What they left out it's 1/8 inch wood on top and bottom filled with foam. I've seen other complains from other RV purchasers. The product won't stand up to much usage. So ask and make sure you don't buy an RV with type of flooring. We wanted to support this business but they did not want our business. We were willing to pay the advertised price but we asked if price was negotiable and if they had a military discount. We got a yes to both. We made an offer and instead of counter offering they just refused our offer and we left. We found the exact model trailer a few hours away and they were more than willing to negotiate. Up until the end, our sales person was great. It started out great until the OWNER damaged our trailer by running into with another truck/trailer, damaged door, missing graphics, stereo speakers blown, & TV not connecting to the receiver. My husband and I went to browse around for a travel trailer, because we were tired of renting one and booking hotels for our California trips. We were immediately greeted by Leann who was so friendly and personable. She then took us to the sales rep, Jeff. Jeff is such a sweetheart. He asked what we were looking for and took the time to show us and patiently explained to us the different units. We looked at around 8-10 units and were a little overwhelmed with the similarities and the many options. Jeff took his time with us and did not push us into purchasing a trailer then and there like most sales representatives would do. He was so knowledgeable and we felt we were in good hands with him. We later went to Camping World just to look at a different center and different trailers not available at FreedomRV and see what they had to offer.We left Camping World feeling very uneasy. Amazing! We left San Diego on an RV trip yesterday, and had a key break off in one of the outer compartment locks. We were already in Fresno, so it was too far to turn around and go back to San Diego to get a replacement. Freedom RV found an old master key that worked and loaned it to us until we can get home and get a replacement. In addition, our emergency exit window disconnected and crashed. Well, we've had our brand new 2020 Venture Stratus since 8/6/2019 and have only had it out on the road once due to so many issues! On our first trip my husband fixed the water leak under the sink and water leaking from the toilet. Freedom RV Was suppose to replace the whole front panel due to the dent in the front panel per Venture RV's request but when my husband picked it up he could see a ripple and had marked it to see if they'd completely replaced it as instructed and knew immediately they hadn't. It now has two ripples from where they supposedly "fixed" it. We took it to Sky River in Pismo Beach for the remaining repairs due to the disrespect from Jeff, Jill, and some of the technicians (although Jesse was fantastic) and for the lack of resolving ongoing issues at Freedom RV. Sky River had it for 4 months waiting on new theater chairs (due to the massage feature creating a snowy screen on the tv) They also found a sewer hose not vented out properly, the slide out was still dragging( after Freedom worked on it) and the arm for the awning was broken and needed replacement. Thank God Sky River not only checks everything out but KNOWS how to fix them. This has been the biggest disappointment we've ever purchased. We totally believe Freedom RV sold us a lemon! read more

Only reason I'm giving them a 1 star is because we purchased a brand new trailer from them in March. Needed new skirts put on was the only thing wrong that they were going to send someone out to replace, no problem at all. Same day after getting home we found out about an electrical issue when it's not plugged in. Have repeatedly called and been givin the run around he say she say stuff. Still waiting on the service man to come out to replace the skirts and still waiting for someone to follow threw with fixing our electrical. I am from San Luis Obispo County and found a 2017 used travel trailer, ultra light Open Range, I own a 37 foot fifth wheel made by open range called the Roamer which I had shipped here bc of the lay out but wanted something lighter to pull. I love the Open Ranges. Excited I found a dealership that carries these near. So...we had a great experience over phone with Jeff. He provided me everything i needed to make my decision on driving down to check it out with my family. There was a large bubble in the flooring but Jeff made sure he got that repaired in shop before coming to look at it. When arrived we loved everything about it. The process was very fast and Jeff was great. Upon pickup 4 days later there were a few issues as it sat in the heat. I noticed a few more bubbles, they were still working on fixing a few things on ceiling. Was nervous about the floors bc I was told there would be no more bubbles. We decided if it got worse we would just let the shop know. We were so excited to buy our first travel trailer. When getting ready to drive off my husband saw screws sticking out of the fiberglass on the outside of the RV...when the guy put in a new shade while we were there he drilled right threw the whole wall. It was devastating. But it was a mistake. It happens. We chatted and decided how to resolve the problem. For now there is silicone on those holes, until repaired properly. So overall, the experience was ok. Jeff was great and I will say MATT the shop manager was beyond amazing (he did not do the drilling) I will buy from them again but will make sure things like this do not go on. There is a few things I noticed of course when I got home but nothing that can't be fixed by us ourself. Thank you guys and I hope next buy will be a better experience but we will be back hope next time I can give you a 5 star. read more

My husband & I are very disappointed we have never been treated in such a way. We were shopping for an RV to start traveling, I do real estate & my husband welds and builds homes. Right off the back I could tell he was upset when we approached him by the look on his face & he stated that he was on his way out & my husband shook his hand and stated that we wouldn't take up too much of his time. He treated us like we were beneath him & told us after only viewing one RV & requesting to see another that "he isn't going to walk around showing us 15 RV's that's not how it works". He was totally rude and pretty much suggested that he didn't need our service. I am disappointed because I was so excited to view them and him not knowing we could of bought one out right. Maybe it's because we look young or because of the color of our skin but either way he was wrong.
