I will never ever ever use this office or company again and you should not either!!!!!!! I usually do not get so worked up to the point to write a negative review about a business but this has to be known and I hope and pray no one else goes through this experience that I am about to describe that I went through. On March 19 2023, I went to this office to file my taxes in person with my partner. We sat there for about an hour signing and had our tax pro specialist, Natalia, work on our taxes. Towards the end of this meeting, we were asked did we want this tax filing fee taken out of our refund or pay it now. Obviously we said to take it out of the refund. We even signed the $39 processing fee to take out our tax filing fee. We left the office with a packet of our information and Natalia telling us it would be submitted that day. Fast forward to April 12 2023. I figured it has been over 3 weeks and that my refund would be in my account by now. Checked. Nothing. Then I logged onto my account with H&R block and saw that it said they were working on our taxes. Odd, I thought, because I left there on March 19th thinking that it was done then. So I called this office and asked why my tax return has not been filed. The lady who answered the phone tried to look up my name; couldn't find me. Looked up my partner's name; still couldn't find them. So put me on hold and said that my tax pro specialist that I worked with was finishing up with a client and could call me back shortly. Thirty minutes later, I call back and the tax pro specialist, Natalia, tells me that she remembers specifically telling me that I had to pay for my tax filing outright because my return would be over the $10,000 threshold for the banks. Funny. Was not told about this threshold at all. So I asked why I signed the $39 processing fee document if she saw that my return would be over that threshold amount....seems like a moot point and said let's say that you are right about this, that you told me about this threshold, it is April 12th. I left your office thinking that I filed my taxes on March 19th. Why was I not contacted AT ALL from this office that my taxes had not been filed because of my lack of payment??? Her response. "We didn't want to bother you". Wow. So I called the office back and asked to speak to a manager because this is an unbelievable situation. Manager was not in but would be the next day. So of course I made some other phone calls about this situation. Fast forward to today, April 13th. It was 1030 and have not been called by this office yet. So I called and asked to speak to the manager and she tried to negotiate a price for me to pay for the tax filing. I'm sorry but if I hadn't caught your office not submitting my taxes on time, I could have gotten charged for that. So the manager waived the fee but I still had to pay for the add on that we agreed upon. I completely cannot believe that this happened. Total lack of communication and utter disrespect. I will never use this office or H&R block again and will tell others not to either. Nice to know this is how veterans get treated. read more

I had service in this office. They mistakenly filed my tax using "head of household" other than "Joint". It led to several thousand-dollar loss of my tax return. My case is very simple. I thought this agency is professional. I am very busy with my work and I thought they can save me some time other than I do it myself. It turned out they lack the fundamental skill and knowledge on tax return. It leads to a big loss of my money and waste of lot of my personal time. I found that my tax returned was several thousand less than my friends whose families have similar income and number of children. I got confused. Then, I shared my case with an agent from anther company, they immediately found that I should file my tax return with my wife and apply for ITIN number at the same time. I tried my best to contact the HR agent who filed my case. She finally answered me after I emailed and call them several times. I tried to make online meeting with her, but she never replied my email and did not appear during the meeting. I am so tired of chasing them around and no one answered my questions or say sorry to me. They promised that they will maximize your tax return. But the agent is their office is so unprofessional and disappointing. If they made mistake, you have nowhere to complain. Also, their online number, 1-800-472-5625, will never answer you. They will just treat you like an idiot. Of course, if you have a lawyer and sue them, they probably will answer you. read more

My parents have an extremely complicated tax return. The most they've ever paid for service at the best CPA in Waco, TX is $400. My return cost me over $700 for a rather simple return. It feels like the company has taken advantage of a college student away from her family. The company is a rip off. I trusted H&R Block because I have a friend who worked here. Sadly, the integrity that he has is clearly not matched by this business. read more
