I filed online for 2021 with H&R Block premium version but like everyone else, I made an error in filing due to the stimulus money. So, I ended up with a CP12 letter from Uncle Sam (IRS) and basically it said that I was getting less than what I was originally quoted for or that there was a wrong SSN number in my 1040. It was both however, even though I paid for "premium" online services that did not get me help for the solution to my CP12 letter. Of course, the IRS is understaffed and never picks up the phone. So, I had to call H&R Block and setup an appointment to see a Tax Professional because I the online service wouldn't let me amend my 1040 online. Lucky for me I got Teresa Barnett who figured out that the best solution to my problem to the incorrect SSN. She also explained that the true issue with CP12 is that I put the incorrect amount of money for my final stimulus payment. I am truly grateful for Teresa and would recommend her to all for their tax needs. She's very helpful, understanding and patient which you need when Uncle Sam comes knocking on your door with a letter that basically says that you are audited. Any letter from the IRS is an audit so heads up y'all. Teresa thank you for helping me so much with this! However, I am disappointed that in spite of the H&R Block promise to help you if you get a letter from the IRS to help you out you still have to pay again EVEN if you pay for the Premium version of the software. Even if you are quoted by the telephone representative for the amended return of $89 H&R Block wanted to charge me more in spite of the previously quoted rate. So, the actual Tax Pros they get a five star review however the company gets a 3 in spite of the "company" refund guarantee of protection, premium service charges or IRS audit help if it happens. Let's face it, just about any letter from the IRS is an audit. read more

This review is for Ana R. who I believe is not always at this location but I will review this location as this was the office we got our recent taxes done. I have to say that even though our "tax expert" was very nice to us and claimed she would try to help us as much as she could, I do not think this was the case. I have gotten my taxes done at other locations and with almost the same information provided in previous years, I received a refund for less than other years before. I know that this year tax refunds were less all across for everyone but there were certain things we brought up to her in hopes it would be to our benefit and each time she said it wouldn't matter or make a difference for us. We trusted her thinking they are "experts" here but again I left feeling like more could have been done for us. Also I received an online survey a few days after and was socked to know that the person preparing your taxes was supposed to tell you up front how much we would be charged. The survey also mentioned a "pricing sheet" we were also supposed to have been showed up front...which we were NEVER shown nor did our "tax expert" let us know how much were looking at, not even an estimate. I feel very deceived because when we booked online we were given a quote and once we got the the price was more than double! We left feeling extremely deceived on prices and disappointed in the service of our "tax expert" so we will not be coming back to this business next year. This was my first time getting my taxes done at H&R Block and I will definitely be returning! The staff was friendly and welcoming. I appreciate the precautions they are taking for Covid-19. They have great virtual options. I was able to take pics of my tax docs and upload them prior to my appointment. David did my taxes and he was able to get me approved for refund advance and got my refund the same day! Great tax experience! I highly recommend! read more

If you love America and your family and friends DO NOT SEND THEM OR ALLOW THEM TO COME to this H&R Block. My friend who is in the army(keep in mind that she gets her taxes done for free for currently serving in the military) did her taxes herself and felt that maybe she was doing them wrong because of the amount she was going to receive. She explained to them the situation and they walked her through it and sent it in. At the end of it all, after saying she gets it for free. They charged her 70 dollars!! SCAMMMERSS!
