Going to H & R Block to have your taxes done is like throwing money in the trash. Also the lady there who did my taxes wasn't especially helpful or nice. I waited in 99 restaurant and got a call just before midnight. Here is the killer! You have to park in a dark alley between 2 mills and many homeless panhandlers are nearby. I saw a rat running along the building which grossed out my girlfriend. I had to talk her out of the car. This is crazy!!! He has a disgusting office layered with years of dust on top of copy paper boxes piled high crushing them. He leaves to the bathroom every 15 minutes. As if that wasn't bad enough he kept falling asleep while working. Several times I stomped my foot to wake him. No not kidding. Read other reviews. At one point he fell asleep with his hand on the keyboard. Not zzzzzzzz although it should have been. We contemplated tiptoeing quietly out the door and shutting the lights off. (Except seemingly less well organized.) You spend your time wondering what the heck (feel free to insert alternative language) is happening and come out the other end with elegant math and a pile of unexpected ducats. He's extremely creative and personable. His office is a black hole of time and compressed clutter. (Bring some Dostoyevsky as you will have plenty of time to finish it.) Customer service is, shall we say, unique, running the gamut from nonexistent to quite helpful at times. Great folks though! Not for the faint of heart but well worth the kraaazee ride.

Instead of protecting us, this firm and GEICO routed our vehicle to An Auto Body in Providence, where staff explicitly bragged they 'try not to total cars.' Geico hid structural fees to fabricate a fraudulent 78% repair estimate to trap our vehicle and rack up expensive storage and rental fees, while this firm completely neglected our severe concussions, my knee injury and my husbands dangerous spinal injuries. Former case manager Ciara Monroe actively engaged in medical bullying, telling me to 'calm down' before hanging up and completely abandoning an injured client on crutches on a Friday afternoon. I single-handedly broke our insurance carrier's math and forced the total loss on my own. Tired of the fees, the poor customer service and hearing the word no so many times in regards to my former checking accounts and home loans services. So, I am now typing this after trying to close out the account so guess what? I did not pay the loan off . When presenting the check the nice ladies at the counter double checked the payoff, which was of course different from the amount given to me just an hour before on their automated system. The automated system indicated the payoff amount and I had up to 10 days to pay it off before the payoff would be different. A drive was taken and off course all was incorrect for my troubles. My poor rating is not indicative of the ladies working at the bank today, their system and related information was poorly communicated and not accurate one building to another. They were nice and I was cranky with all of this. Not the first time. So I will try again tomorrow and leave all the numbered areas for payoff blank so I can pay and CLOSE OUT the ties that bind.
