After you pay 80+ dollars for Turbo Tax and all of the electronic filing fees, etc., we ended up paying about the same thing to have a human go over our taxes, give us tips on next year, and generally enjoy a conversation over. This is not some HR Block employee doing your taxes by a mindless script. Dan was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, efficient, and got us a great return. The drive out from Atlanta was well worth it, and we will be back next year for sure. Yeah, you can do your taxes online using a program, or you could pay a professional close to the same thing to do them better with a whole heck of a lot more peace of mind. I don't review on Yelp often, but Dan Leclair deserves 5 stars. Cannot recommend the guy enough.

Last year I met with Sharon, the owner of the business, late February and the whole time i was…read morethere all she did was answer calls from what seemed like aggravated customers asking if she had finished with their taxes. After a 3 hour meeting with her she reviews my file & tells me that she couldn't complete my file because i was missing my property tax information. The very same thing another tax preparer told her before i went into her office & already prepped me when she took photo copies of my paperwork & prepare my file for Sharon. i was expecting for Sharon to at least give me an UPTO THIS POINT overview but instead she haulted her entries & told me she will finish when she receives the other forms. Well i sent them that night via email and from that night until the end of March she never returned my calls & the few times i spoke to a live person at the office they can only tell me that they gave her the message via email & vm. I was so livid at that point that i decided to go to the office even though i was told she wasnt there just to get my paperwork & her other associate, Edalise, was there alone with another upset client of Sharons. Edalise pleaded with us to hold for a while so she can ask Sharon to release our taxes to her so she can complete them for her. Well long story short as fed up as i was the other lady was super professional & as bad as i just wanted to run to someone else I decided to allow her to complete my taxes. I have to say she was awesome! The other person before me left happy as well & just because she felt bad she discounted her fees. im sure she did the same for the other person & im even more sure that discount came out of her commission. This lady took a hit for me & it wasn't even her fault, if i could have given her a separate review i would have but unfortunately she works for an owner who is a detriment to her clients & i would hate for a positive review to stay on Sharons business especially now that her business is closed & I happened to find out that the other lady is not with her business anymore.
