    Me - (Ron) -
    Ron M.

Took my Wife on a Get-Away-Cruise from Miami and on our return we flew into George Bush Intercontinental Airport and connected on our flight in Concourse 'C'. We had two hours before the next flight. After walking for 200 miles (it seemed) in the Airport Mall (it seemed like one and it's big), we found our gate. We were also a little hungry and saw a Burger Bar place right across from our gate. It's called "H Burger Bar" (concourse 'C', near gate 35) and they do have Hamburgers and it is a Bar with Beer & Liquor - and that's just what we want. It's also a Very Looooooooong Bar and we took a seat (actually two seats). Guy named Ronald (great name) came over, introduced himself (that's how I found out his name) and we ordered some Beers - Miller Lite for my Wife and a Blue Moon Draft for me. We chatted for a while because there were not a lot of people presently at the Bar. One of the Chefs (Davis) also came over and explained some of the Menu to us and a lot about H Burger Bar. While we were trying to decide what to order we enjoyed those Cold Beers - Anyway, after some time we decided to split one of their Burgers. Chose the 'Mushroom Swiss' Burger and it's gonna be a Double. They are Half Pound Patties and we have Two of them - with Mushrooms & Swiss Cheese and lots of other good stuff - one of my Favorites. Chef Davis made it to Perfection and it was a Beautiful Presentation of a Really Large Burger - and he sliced it into for us to enjoy. We both LOVED this Burger. Don't know what they do to their Patties but it was Very Flavorful and Juicy. (note: pictures came out actually redder than it was - but it was grilled Med-Rare Perfectly for us). My Wife and I cannot get over how Flavorful this Mushroom Swiss Burger and it melted in your mouth-liciously - very tasty Mushrooms. They also provided us with forks & spoons to eat this thing with - it's kind of messy in a Very Good Way. This is actually one of the Best Burgers you will ever have - unfortunately it's in the Houston area and we live in San Angelo. If you are ever in Concourse 'C' at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, ya gotta stop in - have a Beer and a Burger - they go hand in hand - one in each hand. But I remind you, this Burger is Really Big. My Wife and I LOVE BURGERS and We Love 'H Burger Bar'. When we finished enjoying this Monster Delicious Burger, we chatted some more with Ronald (great name) and Chef Davis. This place is open several hours a day, every day, so they might not be here when you are - but ya gotta go and give them a try - when your in George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Concourse 'C' that is - They both, Ronald (great name) and Chef Davis both earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award. They both are really great guys - glad we stopped in. My Wife and I made our flight and arrived early in San Antonio. Picked up our 'Ranger' right where I left it - and drove home. We had a lot of Fun on our 'Get Away' but are glad to be back home. Love You Baby, Bunches & BurgerMunches.

Food was pretty good! I had a burger and fries. Nothing super crazy, but good nonetheless. Service was also pretty good for how busy it was! Poor bartender was by herself but held it down really well. I ordered a mimosa and it came in a huge glass filled to the brim! I got my own mega pint! I loved it considering the price was around $18 for one. I decided to order another one as I was celebrating an achievement, and was super bummed when a normal sized one came out. Not sure what happened there but I did really enjoy that mega pint.

H-Burger 2800 N Terminal Rd Terminal C George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston TX 77036 December 15, 2022 Thursday - Noon for lunch 1 Adult Atmosphere - 3 stars Food - 3.5 stars Service - 3.5 stars Background - Drove in from Lake Charles LA and planned a little time for a meal before my flight. I had a lunch spot picked out but due to a semi roll over I was delayed, and my plans changed. Atmosphere - A long bar in the terminal. The bar stools look like they would swivel to help you, but they don't. They are attached to the floor, so you can not slide them out either. Poor design for a travel with any bags. So the whole process of getting to the crowded bar is too difficult. Space between guess is nil, get to know you neighbor. Food Drink - A blonde ale by 11 Below Brewing, 7 Iron, blah. I think this was the only local beer on tap today. Lunch - Basically you have the $20 burger bars or the fast food burgers in Terminal C. I went with the $20. I had the H Burger, $20.99, nothing special but it was filling. Service - No cash at this bar, credit or debit only. They prefer you to use an app order everything. The ladies behind the counter were friendly. They did help a customer out that did not have access to order online. Future - Maybe.

Next to nobody there, and one has to order or go sit at the gate.

I'm a stickler for customer service. Normally, and I'm in terminal C every week, at any given time, one can sit at the stool at 5am and drink a quiet cup of coffee, with out needing any help. So when the waitress approached me and asked if I needed anything (help with ordering) and I said no thank you; I was asked to leave and sit at my gate. The waitress working today at 5am needs to drop the attitude!

    Mimosa time!

Great little place within IAH that was quick and easy for drinks. Unfortunately, we weren't able to partake in food, so I can't review it on that end. Service was pretty good. She gave us our drinks in a timely fashion.

After perusing Yelp for the least-bad airport food near my terminal at the airport, I decided to go for H-Burger right across from my gate! Although they serve food and drinks, it is strictly a bar-top with no real tables, right across from gate 41 in terminal C. Like most of the bars and restaurants at the Houston airport, you ordered with an iPad for your order. Even though you use the iPad, the servers were more than happy to help and explain how it works to everyone. Most of the burgers come with two patties which I thought seemed a bit unecessary, but I totally went for it and ended up ordering their burger of the day, which had two patties, cheddar cheese, pulled pork, bacon, and a fried egg! It was large and I only could eat about half. It tasted good for an airport burger, though the burger was a bit overcooked and the pork was pretty salty. Still, I enjoyed it for what it was. I also ordered a side of tots and let me tell you, they are definitely enough to share! They were yummy and crispy, just a very large portion. More bang for your buck! I enjoyed eating here and the food was mediocre. That being said, it was pretty good for an airport restaurant - you can't expect 5-start here! And the servers were all very attentive and kind.

Overpriced and overcooked but the staff (Servers) were amazing. Of course they have very little to do except hand you the food, I had to clean my own spot but shout out to United Airlines for the disinfecting wipes!

    Counter distance

The order process was just AWFUL!!! Took way too much time, especially for an airport. Waitress had to reach WAY across to try and hand food. Sitting at a counter for 40 minutes didn't see once where the counter had been wiped. I had to clean the area where I sat, if used cup and utensil. My companions chicken arrived cold and she still has not received a refund although told she could have one although manager had to approve one. No manager has shown up. I guess they're counting on her having to get to her gate? For the price it's a total rip off.

The burger was pretty good. The bun was straight out of the bag and not toasted. The bar was greasy and felt unclean. The service was bad.

No base price. No clarification. Any reasonable person reads that as a $40 bottle. Then you get to checkout... and suddenly it's $60. That's a $20 jump with zero transparency. When we questioned it, the manager gave a convoluted explanation about how their pricing system works--but here's the bottom line: if your system consistently leads customers to believe something costs $40 and then charges $60, that's not a "system," that's misleading pricing. And of course, on top of that: - Taxes added at the end - 18% tip pre-selected (for essentially self-service ordering) So your "$40 bottle" quietly turns into $75. This isn't just expensive--it's deceptive. The issue isn't the price, it's the lack of clear, upfront disclosure. If this happened to you, I strongly encourage you to: 1) Push back on the charge immediately 2) Take screenshots 3) Report it--this is exactly the kind of thing consumer protection agencies look at Airports are stressful enough without businesses playing games with pricing. Avoid this place unless you enjoy surprises on your bill.

We try to support local Kingwood are restaurants and hadn't been to Union Kitchen in quite a while. We arrived and asked for a table for 6, the dining room was busy so they said it would be a few minutes. Then 3 more of our group we hadn't expected arrived and the hostess quickly let the servers know to make our table larger. We only had to wait 8 or 9 minutes and were seated in the side dining room which was great as it was not crowded so it was easy to talk without a lot of ambient noise from the more crowded main room. I believe one of the assistant managers began taking drink orders as our designated server was finishing up some tables nearby. She had a great sense of humor and quickly went to get our drinks. FYI, they have both an All Day menu and a lunch special one which we hadn't seen before a their website so that is an option and is a bit less expensive with smaller servings than the All Day one. As it was April 15, they had a special small Tax Day menu where everything was prices at $4.15! What a cute idea! We all ordered our lunches and soon we were enjoying what was brought out. I had the special lentil soup and the blackened salmon tacos, my wife had the 1/2 lb classic burger and the house made potato chips. Everything was excellent. Glad we stopped by for our group lunch.

We saw it online and loved the vast menu selection so we thought we'd give it a try. From the exterior, it doesn't look like much almost looks like you could be walking into a craft store or a boot barn cause it's just in a shopping mall strip center. But once you enter inside, the dark wood, the wine bottles, the lighting all creates a very nice ambience of an upscale restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. We were just grabbing a bite to eat before a movie and this place turned out to be much nicer than me. I previously anticipated. We decided to order off of the Happy Hour menu so that we could try several things. We got the queso dip of course...because, when in Texas...We also got the crabcakes and a cheeseburger with truffle fries. They had some great drink specials, but we got ice tea instead. That was plenty of food for two of us to share. Out of the three items that we ordered off the Happy Hour menu, I would say the cheesburger was the best! The bun was small enough to not be overwhelming and the meat had a very nice barbecue taste. The crabcakes were OK as was the queso. Our waiter gave excellent service! Can't remember his name, but he was tall and I believe had dirty blonde hair. The entire meal was super yummy with excellent service and convenient. Couldn't ask for more. We definitely recommend this place. We wanted to get beignets for dessert, but we were too full to order anything else. Oh and if you go at Happy Hour, even if you're not drinking, everything on the Happy Hour menu is 50% off. Check it out!
