We walked in and the host had earbuds in and seemed rather uninterested in actually doing his job. Everything was salty. All I could pick up for flavor on the Nashville hot tenders was salt and they were not very hot, I could not finish them due to the amount of salt. The Eggs were not properly cooked. The creamy white cheddar grits had no evidence of white cheddar in them. Small portions but not too over priced. Server was good. $2 for hot tea that smelled like chlorine and came from HEB. The food was AMAZING and there was a slow, quiet feel to the place which we loved!!! The French Toast was delicately crafted, soft and very much delicious. I don't think I've ever gone to a breakfast spot and loved their eggs like they were scrambled in my own kitchen. The chicken sage sausage and moon dusted potatoes, were almost the stars of the dish! I was visiting from Florida and i told my friend i wanted to go to a good brunch spot and she picked the Flying Biscuit Cafe and im so glad she did! We drove about an hour to get there and it was very well worth it. The restaurant is in a plaza with other stores and restaurants so there's plenty of parking right out front. We had a 20 minute wait we ended up sitting outside which was a nice covered spot. We ordered the truffle fries, firecracker shrimp with a side of grits & beignets to start off. The girls are called creamy dreamy and they absolutely live up to their name. The best grits ever! Super creamy and cheesy. The firecracker shrimp was tasteful and savory and we loved the truffle fries. We also ordered a biscuit bc the place is called the flying biscuit how could we not? Our server Susana was amazing super sweet and accommodating she gave us great recommendations and I'm so glad to have come across her! It was our first time at The Flying Biscuit and we cannot wait to go back! We drove an hour with some family visiting from Florida and had the most amazing experience. We were greeted promptly and waited to receive a text to be seated. We were seated inside and were accommodated when we asked to move outside. We were bummed thinking we lost our amazing waitress Susana, but they accommodated her as well and she gave superb service! We tried tons of different things on the menu and everything was top tier! Mimosas, grits, shrimp, stuffed French toast and so much more to choose from. The decor was also super cute especially the flying biscuits and toilet paper in the bathroom, and the overall vibes were amazing. The manager even came out to greet us before we left. My husband daughter and I came here during a weekday on spring brink around 11am. Atmosphere is clean and lively, service was good. The food however was very disappointing, we ordered off the kids menu, hangover hash and egg-stravaganza. All of our food was borderline warm. We got our food within a couple minutes so that me feel they had the food sitting around. My kids sausage was cold, the biscuits were hard which was the most disappointment. My chicken in the hangover hash was hard and dry, whatever sauce was supposed to be on it wasn't or I couldn't taste the difference. I guess you have to come here on a busy weekend to get fresh food because none of our food was. I was very excited to try this place. Overall, I think the food would've been enjoyed so much more if it was served hot and fresh. read more

We wanted to try a new brunch/breakfast spot and they were on my radar. We sat out on the patio before the rain. I had the am burger and my husband had steak and eggs. It was ok, and so was the service. We were there early so it wasn't busy. I would love to try some other items from the menu. I sat at the bar and I was immediately turned off. The bartender didn't following basic sanitation and temp control rules like not using individual glasses to get the ice out of the bin (you need a scoop!!!) and leaving the milks and creams out on the bar right next to the refrigerator... It's way too cold in here to comfortably sit and eat. They also don't have any bag hooks under the counter so I was forced to put my purse on the back of my seat and the servers bumped it like 5 times. None on the door in the bathroom either!! I got the eggstravanga and the sausage was soooo nasty and my potatoes were incredibly salty so I just ate my eggs and bacon and took everything else to go. And when I was walking out, the host was just staring not saying anything smh. Staff needs training on customer service, upholding sanitation and temp control standards and the owner needs to make the place more comfortable for guests. I would give y'all one star but at least the whole thing was pretty fast. read more

The turnaround time was shockingly fast, especially for how packed it was. The caramel cappuccino was really good, it wasn't hot though, was warm.. but still amazing nonetheless! I inhaled the stuffed French toast, that raspberry sauce was divine! This place was so good, I inhaled all my food! Definitely ate too fast! The ambience of this place is very comforting. Flying Biscuit Cafe is exactly why people are starting to lose trust in restaurants using delivery apps. The pictures on DoorDash are blatantly misleading and border on false advertising. The meals shown come with key items and sides that are conveniently missing when the food actually arrives. What showed up at my door looked nothing like what was advertised. Paying almost $90 for four breakfast plates only to get tiny, incomplete portions is ridiculous. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. I called simply looking for clarification, not an argument, and was met with some of the most rude, bothered, and impersonal staff I've dealt with in a long time. The cashier acted inconvenienced that a customer even dared ask a question, and the manager was unbelievably condescending and dismissive instead of trying to resolve anything. No accountability, no professionalism, just attitude. The most disappointing part is we were genuinely excited to try this place because it's only five minutes from our new house. We wanted to love it and support a nearby business. Instead, we got overpriced food, misleading advertising, and staff that treat customers like they're a nuisance. There are too many breakfast places out there to waste time and money on one that clearly does not care about honesty or customer experience. We absolutely will not be back. ** response to comment. Hire people that want to be at work, train them in basic hospitality starting at the management level and we're getting somewhere. Such a good place. The potatoes are magical. The dusting on top of them are priceless. Wonderful eggs and crisp bacon. Such good coffee.
