Love the variety they have here. Always love their ice cream. Wish they kept a lot of things permanently or year-round instead of changing all the time because once you fall in love with an item, it's gone the next week and won't be back until next year! For example: almond ice cream cheesecake. Favorite but not coming back any time soon! Employees are helpful to a certain extent. Some are too busy stocking the shelves or in a hurry to do whatever else but most cashiers are super fast and cheery. I've have not lived close to Trader a Joe's in years and was so happy to find one nearby. I went shopping on a holiday around 9 am and the store was fully stocked, the employees were super friendly and I went crazy picking up things I wanted to try. Still my favorite store. Eggs, Brown $2.99 a dozen, Butter $3.99, produce, meat, frozen area and flowers were beautiful and all products are fresh and taste great. Service is excellent and shelves are stocked always. The wine selections are great, and I can buy a single canned beer for Beer Chicken always at the end aisle.. So happy I found this Traders Joe's nearby. I'm so used to having one in my building in California, and it was so convenient to go downstairs and get my goodies that I didn't know how much I would miss it. But this Trader Joe's brought back my sweet memories of the workers ready to greet you or just have a good ole chat with you. Plus, it had all the same food I love. I got my ghost chips, my salt and pepper chips, my dark chocolate reece peanut butter cup, my milk chocolate almonds, the prosciutto and arugula flatbread pizza, my favorite vegetable bird nest, and my chicken masala and chicken curry. Great floral selection here and for a fraction of what you might find at your local Central Market or Whole Foods grocery stores. Good amount of bananas that were just about to be ripe (maybe 2-3 days), and ripe bananas ready to eat! OMG!!!! I've always heard great things about Trader Joe's, so I finally decided to grab a few things! The first meal I got to prepare was the chicken shawarma! LISTEN TO MEEEEE....RUN...DON'T WALK AND GET IT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOVE MEDITERRANEAN FOOD. Grab your tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, their garlic naan, and their cucumber sauce and bam, a whole restaurant quality meal in the house. Their service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was nice and clean. I got a few more meals that I loved. I recommend the orange chicken and the veggie and chicken fried rice. This past week was the first time that someone ever told us about the stuffed animal that is hanging up and my kids were so attentive to find it and get their lollipop. This location is about 70 miles away from me but I was in the area so I stopped by. First time to shop here, a little hard to get in and out of the shopping area but as soon as I walked in, I noticed that the staff here is genuinely friendly. A little small but no biggie. How often do you find yourself at Trader Joe's? Are you a die hard TJ'er or do you just come for their specialty items? I ask because it's important. TJ has AMAZING specialty items. And it's not a problem if that's the only reason you come, it's just that you're truly missing out on the amazingness that is Trader Joe's if that's all you come for. First let's talk prices. Quality food. Organic and non organic foods (but they are still HIGH quality) at great prices. Better than that Whole paycheck over yonder that you go get your kombucha and #4 meats at. Guess we talked about quality already. You are going to get the same quality. But you may not get vegan mayo. I've been WAITING! But that's me nitpicking. No, they aren't going to have EVERYTHING. But no grocery store does. I find myself having to go to several to feed this household of 5. Lastly let me be specific: I adore this TJ's the employees are fun to be around. I mean they make the store even more inviting. They are so helpful and, even if it's an act, they seem to love working there. This TJ's is small and crowded AF, for real! But I still love this location which feels kinda hidden if you're not a Woodlander (pretend that's a word). I love almost everything about TJ from the fresh vegetables to the meats, to the spreads and cheeses. I especially love the prices on the organics and the lettuces...full bags of arugula and spinach are my go to and the organic broccoli! YUM! I love samples and how they willingly open items for you to try. The staff at this location, I found was friendly and helpful. One guy even left the register to help my mother find something. For a small location, the wine selection is plentiful but they could use a bit more space in the snack and refrigerated cheese section. I still found my normal staples (dried broccoli - which is way overpriced *womp womp TJ* and dried okra). While they have plenty of sweet candy snacks at the register, it would be awesome if they carried some of the alternatively sweetened variety (think Lily's chocolates). read more

I think this has been the best organized grocery store that I've been to as far as Covid protocols go. They were only letting a certain amount of people in at a time and there was someone outside that was actually monitoring it. There was a line outside, everyone had masks on and there were marks on the ground so everyone was 6ft. apart. I was VERY impressed. Then when it was time to check out there were lines on the ground so that everyone was 6ft. apart at the registers too. I noticed disinfectant wipes for the carts and hand sanitizers at all the registers and also when you walked in. There were probably more hand sanitizing stations around the store but I just didn't notice them. All the employees were nice and seemed to enjoy working there. read more

Having experienced TJ's in both Texas and California, I have to put it down for my city! You have set the bar! -I NEVER could find close parking in Cali. -The patrons in California who shop here are SO self entitled and do not have the common courtesy to share the shopping isles -Because there were so many people shopping there in California, all of the favorite items (looking at you, Pumpkin waffles) would sell out fast and I had to run a rat race to several locations to find things But THIS Trader Joe's has so much parking (I found a place right in front of the store), I rarely have to experience something selling out, there are bunches of items here that I never saw in California (probably from different suppliers), AND PEOPLE SHARE THE SHOPPING ISLES and say EXCUSE ME! I just stand still sometimes and take it all in. Hope I don't look too creepy. This Trader Joe's in The Woodlands is the best. read more

Welcome to Texas! I was like a kid just being told they were getting a trip to Disneyland when I found out a week after I moved here to the big state of Texas from California that they would be putting a Trader Joe's 15 minutes from my new dwellings. Every time I set foot in a Trader Joe's no matter what location the reminiscent feeling of home hits me. Granted my first visit was on the grand opening, which was I swear like being at Disneyland, haha. But I have to say it didn't stop me from picking out my all time favorites favorites: Wasabi seaweed snacks $.99, Ginger cat cookies (For people, I love the humor and the person that made them have to put this on their product), Sesame soy ginger vinaigrette (makes a great marinade), Spring mix (baby lettuce,arugula, spinach) $1.99 a bag, Lightly salted rice crackers (easy and light snack that is addicting), and English cheddar with caramelized onions (this cheese is to die for, second runner up is the Asiago with olive oil and rosemary). And yes I even waited for 30 minutes to buy the aforementioned simple pleasures of life. Though I listed those above products as my favorites, there isn't one item that I have ever had a bad experience with. It's a fun store to dawdle around in. I always at least try one new thing every time I visit to restock up on my favorites. To the cooks. The spice selection is amazing, love the ample selection of various grinders and even fresh herb plants available for purchase. The marinades are decadent, as aforementioned the Sesame soy ginger vinaigrette is a highly recommended choice as well as Trader Joe's Soyaki (gives fish/meat/poultry a great flavor and leaves it juicy). To those who like to put up their feet: The wine/beer selection is incredible, I'd have to recommend dabbling in the liquid pleasures they have to offer, you wont be disappointed. Thanks TJ's for bringing a little bit of home to Texas, and adding light to my transition here. My first time to shop at Trader Joe's and was amazed at all the great international items you carry in your store!! One of your employees, Gilbert, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, extremely polite and respectful. He assisted me with various food items I questioned him about and purchased. Gilbert was definitely on target with the various meal planning suggestions he provided. And the frozen meal packages were super easy to prepare and delicious!! I was also able to interact with him easily because he spoke Spanish very well and my English accent isn't very comprehensible. I'll definitely seek his services next time I drive to the Woodlands. I would love to try other products I may have overlooked. Thank you Trader Joe's for this exceptional employee. I will definitely look for Gilbert on my next shopping trip! read more

This is a small Trader Joe by footprint (Jeremy T. writes it is more California store style than some of the other Texas locations so that makes sense) so I was impressed to see how nice of a wine aisle they had, especially compared to the one on Shepherd inside the loop after they "renovated" (downgraded) the wine aisle there. Wine is one of the primary things that I go down to the Trader Joe for since most of their locations have a wide selection in the gentlesir's preferred $4-7 range. This store has an entire aisle running the length of the store, hugging the left wall, rather than being corralled into a tiny corner which became even tinier after removing the center kiosk in the Shepherd location. As one of the smaller TJs they obviously cannot carry everything so they are missing some of the things I consider good buys at the TJ, which are non-frozen things. A large portion of the store appears to be the frozen aisle down the middle, so that aisle of the freezers is about as big as the one on Shepherd (which is a much larger store in general) so if you are here for frozen sundries you are likely to find exactly what you are looking for since it takes up so much of the store. This store is conveniently located near the local Ace hardware so you can pick up your home improvement wines here, home improvement tools there before leaving the parking lot, and be the real Don Draper (assembling children's backyard playground equipment while day drinking, day smoking, and day swearing in the afternoon) that you always knew you could be if you tried hard and believed in yourself. read more

It was first time at this location. What an absolutely excellent store. They are following CDC regulations with 6ft social distancing lines and have hand sanitizer at the door. They also have spray to disinfect the carts. This was also my mom's first time at a Trader Joe's store. She LOVED it but was overwhelmed by all their options and great products. We had a store manager on the floor named Debra come over and tell us to take our time browsing the store. As any TJ's location they are busy and have a steady flow of traffic. She was concerned we weren't finding what we were looking for but mom was just overjoyed to be there lol Debra also said that you get a free Trader Joe's shopping bag on your first visit so this really made mom's day! She was so impressed with how kind and helpful everyone was which was basically what I've been telling her. One of the reasons it's one of my favorite stores. This store really has quality products and people working there. I may start to visit this one more than the Montrose location since I'm halfway between both! read more

Words can't even express on how great of a trip my boyfriend and I just had here. By the moment we walked in we connected with a lovely women Darla who connected with my boyfriend about his past and how he looks so much like her son Jackson. By the end she even found us when we were checking out and surprised us by not only getting a mini tote bag from the back for me even tho they weren't putting them out till tomorrow morning but bought our groceries.
