She took me through the process. I had to come back for a couple of things, but the awesome thing about that is you don't have a gigantic line like you normally would at the DMV. Technically, you pay a bit of a processing fee versus going directly to the MVA, but it's definitely worth it to get such excellent guidance and service.

This lady did in an incredibly pleasant 20 minutes what I had unsuccessfully vyried to do for almost an hour. She cheerfully and expertly navigated the arcane MD MVA web site and got me my tag and registration in a very short time. I highly recommend this device. I paid for two replacement tires and the sales associate, Dan, said that they would likely arrive…read moreby noon the next day but that he would nonetheless call me when they did in fact arrive. Come noon the next day I had not received a phone call from A1-Auto informing me that the tires had arrived. I called the shop several times but no one picked up. I went down to the shop and arrived at 12:30 P.M. Dan stated to me in a very rude fashion: "I told you to be here at 12." I informed him that he did not tell me to be there at 12, but instead that he stated to me that he would call me when the tires arrived and that I should then come to the shop after I received his call. Dan then informed me that the closest appointment for rescheduling was 3 days away which was too long for me to wait. I then asked for a refund which I eventually received but still had to pay a $60 tire restocking fee which I shouldn't have had to pay because it was Dan's fault for not calling me to inform me that the tires had come in, which is what he said he would do when I initially paid for the tires. This place is a ripoff & they steal their customers' money. I instead took my business to Midas of Catonsville and received prompt, courteous & competent service.

The worst experience I've ever had with an auto repair shop! Those were all the people that he was loudly discussing while I was in there. Here was my experience 1. 7:39 my son called and asked would we be able to have the car diagnosed today (check engine light). He said he spoke to Jon who said yes. 2. I arrived at 10:37 to leave my car and I asked the woman at the counter would it be ready by 2:30. She very confidently said yes they could complete the diagnostic but probably not the repair. 3. At 3:08 I called because I had not heard anything and was told he was looking at it now and would call soon. 4. At 4:07 I could no longer wait so I went in. I was told he was "working on it" and asked if I needed the car today. I said yes I need it now. After a few minutes I realized no one was moving so I asked what was happening. Jon said he's working on it. I said I can bring it back but I have to go. He jumped up and said he would bring the car out of the garage. This is where it gets interesting! He brings my car out and they say I have to pay their diagnostic fee. I said not without the diagnostics! Seems reasonable right? So I ask what's the issue with my car. They don't know yet. Jon then says I hate people that don't want to pay. I say I'm more than willing to pay if I know the issue. He then hands me my keys and tells me to never come back. Well that won't be a problem. If you're able to avoid Jon this might be a good spot. I will never know and recommend avoiding them!

Worst communication from any "business". can only bother to use emails and then doesn't reply or give you updates unless you email and ask why you haven't heard anything. Lies and excuses every single time. To top it off, the car was dead because the lights were left on and they damaged the drip edge ( pictured ). I came to this garage because Hugo used to own it and he was really good. Now that his son runs it....I will never suggest them again. The business has ruined all the good that Hugo did. Please, don't go and be treated the way I was.
