Depends who you get, but most of the time, massages were very good, I have no complaints. And they were not the cheapest either.

After years of getting handed flyers for HK Foot Spa at the entrance of Hong Kong City Mall, my fiancé and I finally checked this place out. The flyer says "Grand Opening! $35 for one hour foot massage!" We chuckled because this place has been in business for quite some time now. But we knew it was a tactic to get customers, ya know? I already knew this place didn't have a great Yelp rating. So my expectations were already low. When we arrived, there was only one woman there ... in the entire place. We asked if she could accommodate two walk-ins and whether she takes VISA, she told us yes to both questions. I noticed that the price chart on the wall says that their 60 hr. foot massage is normally $40, so I thought, "Hey, at least we're getting a deal." She took us to the massage beds (which is in an open shared space) and started making a bunch of phone calls. It sounded like she was calling for people to come help. So we probably sat around for 15 minutes before the second massage therapist showed up. The massage was okay. One thing to note for those who aren't familiar with these types of discount Chinese massage spas -- A 60 hr. foot massage is usually never fully focused on your feet. They will also massage your head, neck, arms, back, and legs (all with your clothes on), which I'm fine with. BUT my fiancé wanted more time dedicated to his feet and felt misled by their advertising. Two things to know about checkout: We were charged $2.50 to use a VISA to pay for the massages. Not a big deal. We tipped 20%, but then was asked to tip them $10 per therapist, which comes out to more than 28%. We did it to be nice, feeling bad about their lack of customers. BUT, what is the point of a $5 "grand opening" discount if you're going to ask your customer for a higher tip at the end? Yeah, we won't be coming back. The massage was alright, but what really got me was i did a $5 tip for a foot massage and the receptionist told me that I have to tip $10. I said that wasn't discussed prior to getting the massage and she told me my $5 no good. I didn't have to tip because the massage wasn't that good. She continued to argue with me, I still tipped $5 and took a picture if my receipt because it seemed very shady. I don't recommend and if they try to force you to tip you have every right to say NO. It's inside the Hong Kong market mall area. I initially only asked for only a foot massage which was only $20 for an hour. But typically these places don't speak English well so they just kind a give you the general treatment of foot and back massage. So he went a few minutes over 1 hour starting with a foot massage, but then he massaged my face, head, shoulders, back, back of legs, arms, then I turned faced down, and he did all of that again! Great massage! Super great techniques! He even got and used his knees on my back. Felt great! And when they were done, I went to the counter and how much I owed. I figured they were going to ask for the $35 foot and back massage rate. But they only asked for $20! They kept true to their original word! Wow! I was waiting for a haircut and stopped by for $20 one hour foot massage. They have quiet music playing overhead. I thought my therapist did a great job with the scalp, neck, arms, calves and feet. Had the WORST massage in the world, it was so bad my back was bruised & I could barely walk the next morning. I left feeling violated as the masseuse could keep his hands to himself & 'graced' his hands supposedly by accident. I went in with my friend & the lady massaging him kept asking if he was paying with cash. They told is it would be $100 for 1 hour & then racked the price up to $150. & when I tipped $25 for an awful massage they said we had to give $40. My friends and I stopped here. One of my friend's mom had gotten a massage here when it first opened, which I heard was pretty recently (we went in the beginning of August 2013). When we walked in, we were greeted very nicely by this lady who said there was availability for all 3 of us, and brought us to the same sectioned-off room. We waited quite a while.... then about 15 minute later, a man comes in and starts working on one of us. 10 minutes after that, a lady starts working on another and about 10-15 minutes after that, someone else comes in. We all didn't get started at the same time, which we wanted (that's why we asked). We ordered the foot massage. It was pretty good. They start you off soaking your feet in a hot bucket of water. They don't work on only your feet though. They start with your head and face and work their way down. It's basically a full body massage with your clothes on. All our massages finish within 10-15 minutes of eachother, which really wasn't right because our massages started at drastically different times. Totally jipped us! But I guess for a such a cheap price, they're being underpaid anyways! ***Always try to tip your masseuse yourself because I don't know how places like this split tips... I heard it's pretty shady and that they don't split evenly. =\ And trust me, they deserve it! We came here while waiting for our table to be called at crawfish cafe which is right next door. You definitely get what you pay for. It wasn't the greatest massage ever but it wasn't horrible. Decided to stop by with some friends and cant help but to feel deceived by this place. I agree with the previous review- first of all- they start late- you have to wait about 15-20min before they start on the massage. Second, it is pretty obvious they are inexperienced- the lady doing my massage seemed to be giving instructions to the lady next to us- teaching her what to do. Third, this lady in the front tells us at the end of the massage that there is a $5 minimum tip- even though its not written anywhere. Here's some news to everyone- you can have massages that are 10000000000 times better --at pretty much every other block for exactly the same price. Went here with my family on vacation. My mom wanted to try out the $20 foot spa, so we went and tried it out. The lady sat me down and 15mins later came in and asked why I didn't put my feet in the water bowl. First of all its pitch black in there. Second they had to pull out the bowl from under the bed. Third they didn't tell me anything when they say me down..... 5mins later they came and did the foot massage. This is not a professional massage, they didn't take any classes for massage. If I could give -10 stars I would. Story short the owner was short employees for my group so the owner hired someone who she didn't even know the last name of. The only way she knew that he was certified was because he gave her a message and that he told her so. She let him message us because he TOLD her he could do so. He ended up sexually assaulting my sister by grabbing her boobs and trying to reach his hand up her pants. The owner then tried to justify that this was part of the message, but my friend and I who got the same message never had any hands near the chest area or groin area. The owner says she can speak english but that is a joke. They still made my sister pay for the message so we ended up calling the police. The lady that did my massage made me very uncomfortable. I understand that the hot rocks are hot and I felt bad that they held it with their bare hands, but I would prefer they wear gloves so it wouldn't burn them. As I walked in for my massage, it look like the lady just had lunch and I could smell the garlic on her breath. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. They will not work with you and they take advantage of language barriers to run a scam, like they just did to my sister and I. We agreed to a one hour foot massage. After that ended, only thirty minutes later, we went to the front to ask why it was so short. This place just scammed my husband, sister and I!!!!! They have a whole scheme going where you agree to something (in our case a 1hr foot relax) and then they only do it for 30min and act like they don't speak English all the sudden and say it's a misunderstanding they thought we only wanted half hour. Half hour and full hour is the same price apparently so they still demanded full price. Instead of trying to make it right and give us the other 30 minutes we asked for they said "oh no it's finished now". We told them if we are paying for a full hour then we would like the full hour like we asked for, or a discount, they said no you have to pay full price because it's not our fault. They completely played us and then the guy that spoke English to us in the massage room acted like he didn't speak English and told the lady he didn't understand what we said. 2 days ago, I was in Houston with my friend. It was the worst massage I ever had experienced. We came in ask for two people: one female for my friend, and either male of female for me. Front desk personnel said okay and ask us to follow him inside. We laid down and soaked our feet for almost more than 15 minutes. While waiting for those 15 minutes, another older male came and sat down was about to start on my friend. My friend was not agree and we both tried to tell the male masseur but he did not seem to understand. We got to nonverbal use our hand to let him know "no, don't do it". Later on, the other male masseur who happened was the front desk receptionist (I assumed) came in and worked on me. I'm fine, it was a little long wait though but I understand they might be understaffed or too busy. My experience of the massage was horrible. Masseur put pressure on my feet as if he was angry at something and used my feed at the board or thing for him to relieve his anger. I told him "Please do it softer" and he smiled. I was not sure if he understood or just smiled because I said something. Then it was still strong pressure massage on my other leg. I can feel my skin was burning each time he put pressure on it. I was relieved when it was over. My friend only said "It will be the first time and also the last time to visit here." We only gave $5 for tip each out of courtesy. Sooo... went with a group of friends for the first time and we all got the one hour foot and body rub. Everything was amazing until I was taken to a private room for the back massage. My male masseuse kept massaging my breasts which I found very uncomfortable and try to express that, but to no avail. I had never had a masseuse, male or female, touch my breasts in a massage, and I wasnt sure if this was just a normal part of their massage. THIS PLACE IS A HUSTLE!! DO NOT go to KH Foot Spa!! My boyfriend and I decided to give it a try as we often visit Hong Kong Food Market and see the flyer by the entrance. Very limited English as we were ushered to the back rooms. My lady really got into my knots, which I appreciated bc that was the point of this massage. I didn't however appreciate frequent exposure of private parts during the massage. As I returned from the bathroom after the massage was over, my boyfriend was at the counter having already paid and wanted change for his $20 to give tip. His lady and the only one who spoke the limited English said $5 tip wasn't allowed/ not enough. She kept pointing at the $40/hr full body massage sign and wanted AT LEAST $10 tip EACH. My boyfriend even confronted her about leaving his room for a long period of time in the middle of the massage session to go outside to talk to others.
