It also has a very Eastern European vibe. At first, you think 'Russian', but in reality, it's Ukrainian. There is a shared regional heritage, but it stops there when you walk a big room, which is actually their dining room serving some yummy regional favorites. Sitting down and looking at the menu, your eyes take in all the choices. Chicken Kyiv, Beef Goulash, and house made mushroom soup. There was also fresh house baked bread to round out the experience. What was most appreciated was that the meal and the service were definitely homemade, and with treated with love! Do you wish a beverage with your meal? Walk back to the store and order a canned soda, or choose from one of variety of wines off the shelf - European vintages, of course. The sweet tasting pretzel stick I have had plenty of times with chocolate and strawberry flavors but I found one with fruit (mango) chunks that was a part of the flavor. It was good! Perhaps not my favorite but I'm glad I got to try something new! In addition to that there is something similar to Pocky called Pretz. This is a more savory version of Pocky. I found a toasted sugar flavor which I never came across before and that was good too! So it definitely was a hit coming back again. This could only come from Anila, the beloved owner/operator of the Chili's Restaurant 2 doors down. Walk into that restaurant some time, and look right, to see a wall covered with cards and letters from customers grateful for Anila making them feel a part of the family, and feel that they matter. Amongst the sweets, the Polish Wawel Mieszanka Krakowska chocolate covered jelly candy is a welcome treat. I enjoy wafer treats, so the Roshen wafers from Ukranine is my choice. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go.
