This is my favorite Hmart. It has a weird layout, but the employees here are the star. My kids love coming here for samples. The female Spanish cashier is very nice. She's usually by the Union St exit. She always smiles and says hello. This Hmart has the best marinated meats with the best flavor and tenderness. I've actually tried plenty of Hmart marinated meats so I know. This branch also has a lot of the new hot items. I've been to the LIC branch and that one is fancy, but the meats suck. read more

This H Mart is like 5 mins away from my home, probably the closest location compared to all the other newer ones in Flushing. I believe it's close to the Q44, Q20A & Q20B Buses. Ambiance wise is probably your typical/standard H Mart in the neighborhood. Fast service from friendly staff in the aisles and by the cashiers. There're so much fresh produce like fruits, veggies, meat, dairy, dried goods and etc from H Mart. Great clean grocery store with an amazing, diverse selection and range of products. However, it can be more on the expensive side for the price range. There's also a decent-size parking lot. First thing first, love getting the thinly-sliced beef that they've which we usually use during hot pot for dinner. The meat texture is so tender and not tough. Tastes so freshly prepared and seasoned with just a little bit of salt, black pepper and soy sauce. My favorite things to get from H Mart are often Korean snacks like roasted seaweed and chips plus jars of kimchi and different flavors of Melona Ice Cream Bars (Purple Yam/Ube, Honeydew Melon, Banana, Strawberry, Coconut and Mango). Can't get enough of those flavors at all. Melona is considered as America's favorite Korean ice cream, to say the least! Sometimes, they're also $1-2 off the original price if you're lucky to see it! *********************** If you happen to get really hungry while shopping at H Mart, you can stop by their self-serve, sit-down food court called Namudol. A great and popular option during lunch, dinner, and solo dining. They serve bibimbap, kimbap, bulgogi stew, seafood pancake, cold noodles, spicy kimchi stew, marinated chicken/beef bento boxes, just to name a few from the menu. I love the stand right outside that makes it feel like I'm in a korean village. This is my go-to spot for some to-go soodabu. At $5 a quart, it's a steal. Really liked this market; with so many different varieties of kimchi to choose from, and all the wonderful Pre-made Korean specialty dishes~ I can basically shop here all day. Produce sections and meat sections are well kept and clean. The market is a bit small but the aisles have clear markings and let's you find stuff easily. There are so many kinds of imported Ramen and noodles, it was a bit overwhelming. I was in awe of many different Pre-made dishes, but I looking forward to the Kimbaps (looked so delicious). Once I got home I devoured the two packs of Kimbaps I've purchased. The pre-made kimbaps tasted good left me craving for more. No worries planning my trip here in a week. See you there! read more

There are a few H Marts to chose from in this overall area and this one, at least to me, was kind of off the beaten path. There's a parking lot in but the spots of tight. It wasn't too busy when I was there but it seems like the parking lot might be tricky if its busy there. Most H Marts are similar but not all are the same. I think this one stands out as a good example of that. The prepared food section here is unbelievable. There are tons of options and plenty of sizes of each which is great. Gives you options. The other sections are ok. It's one of the smaller stores I think so they other sections doesn't have as many options. read more

Although I prefer the H Mart in Hicksville because it is much larger, I like this H Mart because it is in a residential neighborhood, so it is quieter, has parking both in front & in back (where, now that it is Spring, there is a gentleman selling flowers, bushes, & both Asian & non-Asian veggie plants in the back of the store, next to the cooked yams kiosk: $5 each) & has a large inventory of prepared, food items, both ready to eat &/or heat up (check out my pics). The market is clean, has a good variety of Asian & non-Asian produce & dry goods. If you are hungry, the Namudol Korean Restaurant has a dedicated entrance right into the restaurant from the street-side/front of the store. Sometimes you just can't buy the letter you need in Scrabble. If that letter is an "H" then you should head to "H Mart" obviously. I absolutely love these International Grocery Stores and this is one of the very best. The reason this one is one of my favorites is because it has one of the best Korean restaurants I've ever eaten at inside. The Na Moo Dol restaurant in here is absolutely wonderful especially their Yuk Gae Jang. The grocery store part is pretty cool too with all kinds of fruits and veggies and international items. They offered some free samples. An excellent place to come when you are in these parts. read more

I love HMarts, don't get me wrong, but there is something seriously wrong with this one. I've come here with great experiences many times before, but after hearing what they did to my mom, I can't not write a negative review for this. She bought a pack of salted yellow corvenia and by the time she got home and tried to clean it, she realized the fish was bad. The way they packaged it was to hide the rotting piece. She took photos and brought it back to show management which sent her from department to department. By the end, she got nowhere and customer service blamed her for not going back to the store within 24 hours even though she still had the photos and receipt. We live an hour from this HMart, so it doesn't even make sense to come back so soon for this. The way this issue was managed is absolutely outrageous. read more

I came here with my husband because I was craving 2 things only: Jjajangmyeon & Sundubu Jjigae ( Mild flavor BCD Soon Tofu Soup starter). My husband likes the Mild flavor which is limited and not as common as the Medium or Hot flavor. We went on 8/29 looking for the Mild flavor BCD Soon Tofu Soup Starter; couldn't find it. We went to 2 HMart that day. We'll try again at another location. This location has good products like all the HMarts. LOTS and LOTS of Korean food and products!! LOVE the seaweed aisle with many different flavored seaweed. Try one and you will want more!! That's what happened to my cousin. Now every time she goes into H Mart, she won't leave without having at least 5 packs of seaweed in her shopping bag. Seaweed craze but very good and so addictive!! LOVE the pre-marinated BBQ meat. Super delicious!! Need some good meat for a group gathering? LOVE the pre-packaged Korean appetizers. Grab a few of them for dinner and call it a night! LOVE the tasting samples given at different sections of the supermarket. It helps me, especially when I am not that familiar with Korean food. Taste it before you buy it! There are a good amount of cash resisters on each side of the supermarket so the lines go pretty quickly. Covid-19 updated review I came to H Mart on 4/8/20. We were starting to run a little low on some veggies, ramen, milk and frozen dumplings. I drove around Flushing hoping to shop at a Chinese supermarket. I drove by 2 and they were closed. I then took my chances at BJ's in Whitestone on 20th Ave. The line stretched around the parking lot so that wasn't worth the wait. Then I took quick drive to Union to check if this H Mart was open and luckily it was! The line to get in was short and the line moved quick. There was a staffer controlling the line. The supermarket wasn't too crowded either and everyone was on their best behavior. There were plenty of veggies, ramen, beverages, snacks, frozen food, and meats in stock. The stuff that were low in stock were poultry, pasta (noodles and sauce), SPAM. Prices weren't too crazy. Garlic however was expensive AF and that applies to everywhere else. Verdict - the shopping experience turned out better than I anticipated. The supermarket was fairly well organized, employees were all wearing protective gear, customers were also wearing mask and gloves, no arguments, no pushing. I think I will be shopping at this particular H Mart until this virus boils over. read more

Car was damaged (hit and run / sideswiped) in the parking lot. I asked for help, requesting for video camera footage from their surveillance cameras. The workers there weren't very willing to help me. I implored them for several minutes until they told me to give them my car information. They then told me that their cameras are unable to capture the license plates and that my car was out of range. It seems they are just lazy and gave up on helping me. My Wife and I like to cook ourselves. Supermarkets stock our pantry shelves. I was happy to explore this H Mart, a Korean supermarket in Flushing. What a nice big store with a large live seafood department. The H Mart is like a mini shopping mall, with a little Korean style restaurant and individual business vendors and kiosks embedded in the supermarket itself. The Shopper can get appliances here, small vacuums, blenders, electric frying pans. So many different products are available. You can also ,buy insurance , get cable TV etc. This Hmart features a large produce department. it's really a big place. Excellent for folks with Korean tastes. I was so looking forward to checking out different cultures around the area when I started traveling to NYC for work. I heard about H Mart from a friend who loves the different korean foods they offer here. Some of the other marts have take out options but this one does not. The store smelled so badly of spoiled fish that it was difficult to concentrate on anything else. I have to say that the store was amazing with all of the different Asian selections. The different kinds of kimchi that they have will blow your mind! I wouldn't know how to use over half of the ingredients that are sold here but just looking through them was such an amazing experience and I bought a couple desserts and candies to try. I now have a Korean supermarket to go to. This is down the block from my dentist. After I finished my dentist recommended I go since you get to tasty all of the products, sort of like Cosco or BJ's, on Saturday. I tasted some wierd stuff. Not understanding what they were selling, but tasted good, I still bought a bunch of crap. I'll be back when I run out of what I have. This Hmart is quite a hike from Main Street and not for much. The location is quite small due to limited space and the food court is pretty non-existent. If you live a few blocks away it would be convenient, I guess. I've been to quite a few Hmart locations lately and this space is pretty sad in comparison to the Super Hmarts. The register ladies here are really angry. But, the panchan selection is really good and very fresh. I like Assi more because it is cheaper and has more brands to choose from. read more

I'm a big fan of Korean food, well all foods but if you asked me top five, Korean food would be on the list. All that fermented, hearty cooked way of preparing with garlic, hot sauce, sugars, etc... When you enter it's a basic supermarket, add a couple things unique. The little bit of sampling here and there. Ginseng and video section as what appears separate, the veggie/fruit section, rice, noodles, seaweed. I picked up some hot sauce. Walked around and fount all the good stuff is in the back... All the wrapped fish which looked pretty good, all the meats for BBQ/Grilling/Stews... All the packaged fermented, hot, pickled, sweet, sourish, fried chicken and kimchi is back there near the shops, and a bakery. With the Namoodol restaurant serving cooked Galbi, Soondooboo and Bibimbap, how can you go wrong with this multi section market. read more

The food quality is not a guarantee, especially for those you "can't see right away", like watermelons. When you get home, cut it into half, and wooh, you got a bad one. Here comes the interesting part: if you want to return, make sure the following: 1. Original receipt (understandable) 2. Within 24 hours (which means you have to open it up within a day!) 3. Bring the whole thing! Not a cut as a sample, whole watermelon!! If you bought 2 or 3, bring all of them! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the second half and they wouldn't return. I don't care about my 5 bucks but it is unpleasant experience. I like this Hmart better than the one on Northern. Clean, good selection of veggies and other goods. They also have a bunch of freshly prepared foods such as sweets, pancake and kimbap rolls and assorted bibimbap. there is also a small eatery that serves affordable authentic korean dishes here where you can grab a quick meal named na moo dol. they have a small convenience store that sells household items. There is also a vendor that sells popped corn snacks and mini shaped snack cakes. Meat looks fresh and so does the fish market area. The only complaint is that there is no crosswalk in front of the store and it is difficult to cross because it is in the middle of 2 streets but there is a parking lot in the back. read more

HMart's Produce & Asian items, always work for me. Just wished that great Customer Service worked also. Went to Customer Service to return a box of Yogi Tea that I purchased on a Saturday. But mentioned to the cashier that I didn't have a receipt, didn't use my HMart rewards card, nor did I use my bank card. With neither to back me up or better track this purchase, it was going to be a painful back and forth. She mentioned that because I didn't have my receipt, HMart rewards card and since I used cash, she couldn't refund my money. In the end, she did refund the cash, but threw it and landed on the counter. Listen, this is just one episode. I really have to stick to Hmart. On 5/20 at around 2pm, I went to this location to return a spoiled watermelon. The manager I spoke to was a middle-aged woman with blond-ish hair, unfortunately I don't have her name. To process my return, we agreed to wait at cashier #1 on the other side of the supermarket. I go to cashier #1, the line is around 10people long, cashier#2 had 1 person. I walk back to the other side of the supermarket where the manager is located, tell her to instead meet at cashier #2 since cashier #1 has a long line. Suddenly, I am verbally accosted by the manager, with finger pointing, yelling and everything, telling me to stand firm on a place to process the exchange and that I wasted her time with the previously agreed-upon information. Today might've been a bad day for this manager, but don't treat your customers like this. Korean community isn't huge in NY like it is in CA, word gets around very quickly, especially at church. I will be taking my business to the two HMart locations on Northern Blvd and bringing my friends/family with me. read more

This location is one of the 3 in Flushing and I'd have to say it's the most convenient one. First, there is a parking lot, second it's fairly clean and well stocked, third, the prices for some reason seems more reasonable/cheaper than the one on Northern blvd in the same area as Paris Baguette. They have all the Korean snacks you can think of, they even have a small restaurant within the store with Korean food-kimchi jigae, galbi jjim, and other Korean dishes. There is even a small Korean cosmetic station and a small Korean beauty product area in this hmart. read more

I'm so glad this location has remained opened and running during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's one of my go-to stores for asian groceries. They have been doing very well with taking appropriate safety measures: they keep a limit as to how many people are inside the building; provide customers with gloves, hand sanitizer, and wipes; offer a spray bottle with disinfectant to spray on the shopping carts. Masks are required for customers to enter the building. All the employees wear masks and gloves. They offer brown paper bags at the register to pack your groceries if you forget to bring a reusable bag. I always look forward to wandering through the organized aisles and seeing new options for food I've never tried before!
