Fresh, piping hot fish and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and firm, tender, and flavorful on the inside. Extremely well executed. Incredibly attentive staff that were warm and welcoming. Family owned with a beaucoup amount of integrity. In house homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce. "A" rated restaurant for cleanliness. It is refreshing to see individuals like this. Do not worry about the surrounding area because this place is a hidden gem - truly! With Immense Admiration, Justin R.

My introduction to this spot was... memorable. There were a lot of people hanging around outside, and a guy in a Corvette was blasting 90s hip hop like he was headlining Summer Jam. Great soundtrack, questionable volume, and not exactly the ambience I associate with fried fish. Inside, things were calmer. The line was short (a win), and they actually had more fish options available than the Highland location. That said, the Highland fish usually looks fresher. Prices were the same, and I appreciated the posted seasoning levels, especially since I've had to ask the Highland location to tone down the salt before. My order was simple: catfish nuggets for the kids, whiting, frog legs, and fries. Food came out hot in about 15 minutes. The fish was okay overall... a little over-fried, like it stayed in the oil just long enough to develop trust issues. The fries were forgettable, and the frog legs were dry, which hurt my feelings more than I expected. Even the tartar sauce tasted a little off compared to the other location. In the end, nothing was terrible, but nothing beat the Highland spot for me. Between the parking‑lot concert outside and the underwhelming food inside, I think I'll stick with the Highland location since it's the one I'm most familiar with and consistently enjoy. Not a bad experience, just not my preferred Captain Moe's. Overstimulated outside, underwhelmed inside, and reminded that sometimes the location you already know is the safest bet.

We wanted a good…read moresteak and a place to unwind, so I took a chance on Ye Olde Lamplighter after seeing the reviews. Pulling into the parking lot, we weren't sure what to expect, this place blends right into its surroundings and gives major "if you know, you know" energy. It's literally next to a collector's shop. Walking inside felt like stepping into an old movie, very cozy, dim, and full of character. Booth seating is limited, so we started at a small table with the option to move once a booth opened up. Drinks in hand, we took in the scene and quickly realized this spot has karaoke and a loyal group of regulars who bring the entertainment. We ordered pan seared ahi and potato skins to start, and once we moved to a booth, the food arrived. The ahi was fresh and surprisingly good, especially for my first time trying it. The potato skins were classic and paired perfectly with our drinks. For entrées, we both went with the ribeyes and chose baked potatoes as our sides. The steaks came out tender, juicy, flavorful and honestly far better than we expected. The kind of meal that makes you pause mid‑bite and look at each other like, "Wait... this is actually delicious." And the pricing? Perfect. Almost unbelievable for the quality of the food, service, and overall experience. Between the great steaks, friendly staff, lively atmosphere, and the chance to just relax and enjoy each other's company, this place delivered exactly what we needed. We'll definitely be back.

I'm glad I didn't listen to myself, and we went in and had a great experience. I would say that this place is like an old-fashioned steakhouse, dark, but comfortable. The bar area seemed to be occupied by regulars, as did several of the booths and tables in the dining area. We met Lisa & Dave, the owners, and Lisa waited on us, while Dave was tending the bar. We started with two Old Fashioned cocktails, one a Crème Brûlée and the other a Blackberry. Both were unique, outstandingly delicious, and at $9 each, a real steal. So much so, we shared a second Crème Brulé Old Fashioned. FOOD: They started us off with a complimentary basket of Cheesy Garlic Bread. We ordered the Sautéed Mushrooms ($14) to share. My mother-in-law got the Lamp Burger ($13) served with fries, and my wife and I both ordered the Prime Rib (Queen Cut $37) served with veggies & fries. We both got the side salad, but I also ordered a cup of Chili Verde soup ($5). I asked for a side of blue cheese dressing and received a small cup of the homemade blue cheese dressing using Gorgonzola which was fantastic! We finished it off with their Brown Butter Cake ($10) served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I can't begin to emphasize how delicious everything was, and the service was top notch. I guess the lesson is, don't judge a book by its cover (or the parking lot). We had a delicious meal, fantastic cocktails, and excellent service. We'd most definitely return for another visit. Check it out!

I loved the name and the reviews and the Falconer of Redlands was even better than advertised. Food - 5 stars - the fried calamari was stupendous. Fried just right and good pieces of the squid seasoned perfectly. Good sauce and lots of lemons requested. The Ahi Tuna over the salad was a really nice sized portion with delicious fish and a healthy green mix including edamame. Kathy loved her Sea Bass. The fun menu also features a nice selection of steaks and some cool and familiar British pub grub. We did not drink any alcohol and our fun waitress Yvonne kept checking up on us for my frequent requests for extra balsamic and lemons and soda refills. The top notch service was great and we were not rushed. We sat downstairs in a nice area by the bar. It was not too loud. The entire staff seemed really chill. Heard some music playing upstairs and saw some customers going up as well.Apparently there is a piano on that floor and they do have Karaoke. Definitely next time. The restaurant/bar is on a Main Street so I had to drive a bit to find free street parking 2 blocks up but it was a fun walk checking out the local mom and pop shops and nice bars with patios. The Falconer was a really nice time.
