Meat loaf - smothered chicken, smothered pork chops. And something else

Clean - customer service great- cafeteria style eats - food was good. Prices decent - I give 4 stars for the customer service- we went late so the fried chicken tasted like the oil was dirty and the chicken was a bit dry from being under the light- but it was well seasoned Chile, i did try the other meats and those PORKCHOPS!!! Yas - I will be going back for sure - support your black owned business!

Stopped here over the weekend. Pleasantly surprised with the food. Good flavor. Service was great. Owner came out to greet us and thank us. The restaurant was clean. A little warm inside but otherwise a great experience.

They do offer seating inside, but it is very limited.

Y'all, I had to come back and this time I brought my mom with me. Came EARLY at opening (11am) so we could make sure we'd be able to choose from the whole menu before they sell out of something (because they will). Spoke to Patrick (Pat), the owner and he said that Pat's Place has been in the works since 2018. He wanted to bring a restaurant to San Bernardino (in the hood) that would showcase the good and beautiful that the city has to offer. Just look at the beautiful building and landscaping. He did that and I'm so here for it all. This time I got those Oxtails everyone was buying up the last time I was here, with sides of Mac n cheese and green beans. I was also offered rice under the oxtails which sopped up that delicious gravy from the oxtails. Yes, it was all 10/10. Only small issue was the green beans still had the strings in them, but I'm not complaining. My second plate (cuz I'm greedy), I couldn't decide between the meatloaf and the smothered turkey leg. Patrick (owner) was kind and gave me a piece to try. It was delicious, but I figured I already had beef with the oxtails and so I'd go with the turkey. Smothered Turkey Leg I ordered with sides of greens and black eyed peas. This man cooks each dish with precision and just the right amount of flavor. I have NOT had one bad thing here. Even the cornbread is . My mom got the smothered turkey leg also and she devoured it! She said it was so good. She's already thinking ahead to Thanksgiving and wondering if Pat's Place will be catering. She also ordered a plate of just sides: black eyed peas, green beans, cabbage, and collard greens. I didn't event get a picture of her plate cuz it was gone before I knew it. We got a side of the peach cobbler. It was warm and for all you crust people...yes, it had a top and bottom pie crust! A scoop of vanilla ice cream would have just set the whole thing off. Anyway, this is definitely my go-to Sunday eating spot, cuz I'll be coming back week after week. It's that good and bonus is that it's close to home. Pat, I'll see ya again next week or maybe sooner.

When I arrived at Pat's Place, I immediately noticed a sign outside listing the daily specials, which was very convenient. As I walked in, I could see all the food freshly prepared and ready to be ordered. The atmosphere felt welcoming right away. I noticed the owner, Pat, engaging in friendly conversation with customers who were already enjoying their meals. When he saw me, he warmly welcomed me and came straight over to assist me. Since it was my first time visiting, he kindly offered to let me sample a few different dishes, which I really appreciated. I ordered the meatloaf as my entrée, which came with two sides and cornbread. I chose candied yams and collard greens. The meatloaf was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, topped with a rich, savory gravy. The collard greens were perfectly seasoned--I added a bit of their hot sauce, which took them to the next level. The candied yams were amazing: soft, sweet, and coated in a delicious glaze. I also loved the cornbread; it paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious, and the owner's hospitality made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend Pat's Place and look forward to coming back!

We've tried a lot of Soul Food spots and most have their own take on soul food. We saw this spot passing by and decided to U-turn so we could add it to our list of whether to return or avoid. We plan on returning!! We ordered the fried catfish plate which came with a corn bread muffin and choice of two sides, we went with green beans and mac & cheese. We also ordered a side of collard greens to try along with every desert they had to offer except for the sweet potato pie. The fried catfish was fresh and very good (definitely recommend)! The green beans were delicious, the mac & cheese was also good. The greens were good to me, but my kids think it's an acquired taste in order to enjoy it (whatever), it was still good. I would've loved to give Pat's Soul Food 5 stars, but the deserts were what prevented that. The cheesecake, chocolate cake, and lemon cake tasted like something you'd buy at the store. The peach cobbler was delicious, would've went great if it were topped with whipped cream or came with ice cream. Other than that, this place is worth the stop if you're craving soul food. The women there were friendly and cheerful, more reason to stop by!! Go see for yourself :)

Staff is very friendly and helpful. It was our first time to try this place. The gentleman gave us free samples. We tried pretty much everything in their menu. We got oxtail with a side of greens and rice, Fried chicken and a side of mac& cheese and rice, fried Catfish with sides of mashed potatoes and Mac &cheese. They were all so flavorful and it was delicious. The restaurant is a bit small, they have 2 booths to sit. Over all it was a good experience and will definitely recommend to friends and will be coming back for more.

Food was delicious! Staff was very friendly, and welcoming, " They even let me sample everything before ordering" place was clean! My only knock is that for the price they were slightly skimpy on the servings.. just my opinion, but quality wise it was phenomenal, I would highly recommend, will definitely be back!

I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Pat's place after church on Sunday. It was the first time I've been there. The macaroni and cheese is especially good. I had smothered chicken over rice which was very tasty. It just a small place with only two tables to sit inside most people take it to go home. The servers were professional and friendly. It was definitely good experience and now plan to be back there and try some of the other delicious looking dishes definitely recommend to stop here.

Greens, yams, oxtail with rice and gravy

It's very rare that I find a restaurant that can make good greens. I had the oxtails with rice greens and yams. All were delicious but I have to shout out to whoever makes the greens. Staff was also kind. Place was clean and not run down looking like a lot of places in the area.

I recently discovered Pat's Place Louisiana Soul Food in San Bernardino, and it deserves every bit of praise for delivering genuine Southern comfort right in the Inland Empire. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality: the kind you'd expect from a family-run soul food spot. The aromas of simmering gumbo stock, peppery jambalaya, and slow-braised meats instantly set expectations high. Authentic Flavors: It feels like home cooking--steadily reminiscent of real Louisiana-style soul food. Perfect for big appetites or sharing with a friend. Plenty of rice, greens, and protein in each meal. Staff are friendly and welcoming, often chatting while serving and asking about your preferences. Its just what you want at a soul food joint. If you're craving true Southern soul food in San Bernardino, Pat's Place is a standout. The hearty dishes, authentic seasoning, and welcoming vibe make it a delicious local treasure. Whether you're in for a chicken-based combo, slow-simmered greens, or creamy mac and cheese, you'll leave satisfied and planning your next visit. They are open Wednesday through Sunday and every day they have a different menu so make sure you go on the day of the food that you want.

My plate consists of oxtails and mashed potatoes, corn, and okra. Greens and cabbage and a slice of very well, seasoned and fried catfish.

Our family had planned to celebrate our daughter's graduation from nursing school with a dinner reservation for 13 people at 6:30 PM. This was a very special occasion that represented years of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication on her part, and we were looking forward to celebrating this milestone with family and friends. My daughter initially made the reservation for 13 guests. A few days before the event, I called to confirm the reservation and add two additional guests, only to be told there was no reservation on file. Concerned, my daughter called the day before and made another reservation. To ensure there would be no issues, she also called again on the day of the event and was assured that the reservation was confirmed. We arrived at approximately 6:15 PM and were informed that we could not be seated until at least six members of our party had arrived. Once more than half of our guests were present, we were then told that another large party was occupying the space and that we would likely have to wait until around 7:30 PM to be seated--an hour after our reservation time. As more of our guests arrived and a manager became involved, the explanation seemed to change and we were suddenly told that something could possibly be worked out. Unfortunately, by that point we had lost confidence that our party would be accommodated appropriately. Given the confusion, lack of communication, and repeated issues surrounding a reservation that had been confirmed multiple times, we made the difficult decision to leave and find another restaurant for our celebration. As people who know many restaurant owners and understand the challenges of the hospitality industry, we genuinely try to be patient and reasonable. We understand that unexpected situations can arise. However, what was most disappointing was the lack of communication and the conflicting information we received despite confirming our reservation multiple times. What should have been a memorable evening celebrating our daughter's nursing school graduation instead became a stressful and frustrating experience for our family and guests. We left feeling embarrassed, disappointed, and saddened that such a special occasion was impacted in this way. My hope is that you take steps that prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

My mother was alone, but she wasn't trying to take a 6 top, it was a four seater booth and the lounge was half empty. When we joined my mother, the server was not in much better of a mood, and it didn't seem to improve the entire time we were there. My husband's steak was practically raw. I rarely send food back but this wasn't acceptable. It went back. I asked for sour cream for my potatoes. I was told it would be a $1. Fine. They brought out about a teaspoon size serving of sour cream. Really? ImentionedthatIdidn'tgetbroccoli. Iwasstillcharged. They also brought me a sirloin steak to replace the ribeye. They adjusted the price. It was so so. I guess I'll stick to burgers at Chili's. When I got the bill it was higher than I expected. They forgot to take off the $8 for the chips and charged me full price for the salad and the $1 for sour cream. I hit the 20% for the tip. Then I looked at it. My bill was $42.85. They figured a 20% tip was $16.75. Oh hell no. I called my server over and pointed this out to her. I got the feeling she was embarrassed by it but not sure it wasn't because they got caught. I told her that was the same as stealing and I hate being stolen from. I told her I wasn't blaming her but it was bullshit. She took the tip off and I just gave her a cash tip.
