HAHAHA Ok, jokes aside -- Back in Oct 2013, my husband (but fiance back then) and I took 2 engagement photo shoots with Hy and Jason. Hy may look intimating in the beginning like he's going to kick your butt, if you don't strike a goood pose -- but he's just a sweet ol teddy bear... LOL.. As for Jason - he's just as sweet but keep your eyes on him, b/c he loves to pose with the guy (or at least my hubby)..LOL...JK. Ok, serious note -- no more jokes -- They are both very friendly and easy to work with.... we did a change our location 1 hour before we got to our destination which was in Napa and they were very nice about it.... My husband and I already took professional wedding photos in Taiwan (known for their wedding/engagement photos in the world) and we were pretty picky and skeptical on a lot of the photographers work here in the U.S....But boy, was I amaze at how talented Jason and Hy after seeing our engagement photos... So they did not disappoint. The wedding day -- ... We had our Viet/Chinese traditional wedding where we had to wake up bright and early (5AM). 102 team (We had Hy, Jason and Huu) arrived on time or even earlier and started taking pictures as I was getting ready... The day was long - approx 16 hours and they were there throughout it all... I didn't have to worry about them, they followed us around like we were Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt making us feel like celebrities...The end result -- the photos came out beautiful and my parents were very please.... NOTES TO THE BRIDES - You want a photographer who you can trust and not worry at all. The best investment you can make is to book this talented team. They were truly one of the vendors I had no worries and exceeded all my expectations. They are professional, well prepared with lots of experience...As a wedding coordinator, myself - I've worked with many photographers and they are definitely the one I will be referring all my clients... I remember when we toured our venue for the first time and we weren't able to see the getting ready…read morerooms, so I went on google and searched for photos and a blog post from 1985Luke Photography popped up. As I was looking through the photos from their blog post, I started tearing up like crazy and was hoping that our photos would come out something close to theirs. Funnily enough, I didn't know that they would be the most recommended photographer for our venue. I remember going back and forth due to the price, but you do get the both of them (Luke and Bre) for 8 hours, and we actually added an additional hour as well so we could get photo coverage of our first dance. Although my husband's parents covered the cost of photography, I would've happily paid for it because of how incredible our photos came out, and our overall experience working with them. I first met Bre over a video call and she was so kind and easy to talk to that I felt like our hour-long consultation went by so quickly. We did our engagement photoshoot at Filoli (I was running 30 minutes behind due to a last-minute hair & makeup addition), and they still waited for us on a VERY hot day, which I greatly appreciated. My husband and I were both a little nervous since neither one of us had done a professional photoshoot before, but Luke and Bre really made the two of us very comfortable the entire time, and we absolutely loved our engagement photos. Fast forward to our wedding day, they came in and knew exactly what to do since they've worked at our venue so many times before. I really liked how they weren't all up in our faces during our wedding, and I genuinely feel like I didn't notice them at all. As an events person myself, I absolutely loved the timeline that Bre sent over - it was so helpful to see the schedule for the day and every time I thought we were falling behind, Bre reassured us that we weren't. Bre was so informative, understanding, and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. It's so easy to work with Bre, she is incredibly sweet. She and Luke are excellent planners. Perhaps the best part was how calm and helpful they were on the day of the wedding. Bre and Luke kept us on track according to the timeline we gave them, which was beyond helpful because we didn't have a wedding planner. I credit Luke and Bre for our wedding going so well. After we were married and were walking back down the aisle, I had a weird moment of panic since everyone was staring at us and I asked Luke "where do we go? what do we do now?!" and he calmly said "just go inside", with a smile. Sounds strange but that put me at such ease! Again, I can't say enough about how sweet Luke and Bre are and how lucky I am that they were available for my wedding. I hope to work with them again.

I am…read moresomeone with absolutely no vision for how things look; I just know I like nature and trees, and Anh Phu took us to all the right spots to take pictures. On our wedding day, we were short on time, but we still managed to squeeze half an hour of group photos at a location downtown, and he managed to do such a great job in so little time. Anh Phu might have strong directorial demands, but it actually worked out better in the end for us. I absolutely don't know how to pose, etc., so while it might be funny during the shooting to give us commands, it worked out. Also, his wonderful partner Chi Christina did my make up for both occasions. She did a fantastic job. I loved it. We had two sessions on my wedding day, and she really went above and beyond to fix my make up in between the sessions when I started to have some dry skin. I got lots of compliments, and felt so beautiful. The budget is also very reasonable, especially if you go for the package and do both the engagement and wedding photos.
