I'm leaving a mixed review because while the haircuts were fantastic and I absolutely loved both the stylists, the administrative side of this salon was a complete headache. I specifically called to book the March Special, even clarifying this with the receptionist on the phone. Despite that, they booked me for regular haircuts and blow-dry instead. The issues only grew from there: * Pricing Discrepancy: The math on my initial $139 invoice didn't add up ($62 + $67 = $129). * Credit Card Error: The computer system showed one price when I paid, but my credit card was actually charged a different, higher amount. * Retrofitting the Math: When I pointed out the $139 total didn't match the $129 in services, I was sent a new invoice that suddenly included tax to justify the original $139. It felt like they were reverse-engineering the total by adding tax after the fact to make the numbers 'work.' I have never had tax added like that on any hair services. The salon offered to honor the special on a future visit, but since I'm from out of town, that doesn't help resolve the current overcharge. It's a shame because the talent in the chair is top-tier, but the lack of transparency and handling of the mishap were very disappointing. I never leave bad reviews but I'm so upset with my experience. First of all, the service provided was absolutely not what I had requested (asked for highlights but instead all of my hair was dyed). As this was an expensive service, I had paid a deposit for 50% of the cost and signed a form stating I agreed to pay the full amount ($277). When I was finished with my service, the amount they tried to charge me was $100 more than what we had agreed on. The manager was honestly very gaslight-y and said that if I had looked "everywhere online" I would have seen the cost of balayage was much higher than the form that I had signed and that the new amount should be what I paid. Even if that were true, that is not what was agreed upon. Fortunately, I did end up paying the amount I had originally agreed upon but will never be coming back here. read more

I really can't say enough nice things about this salon and their staff. They really deserve 10 stars. I experienced this hair salon when visiting some older family members. One of them has moderately severe Alzheimer's where she can still do most of her own self care, but reached a point where she did not want to wash her own hair anymore, and probably some of it was dementia and some it was because she has a bad heart. Blow drying your own hair takes some effort and I think it became too tiring for her, and I think the dementia caused her to forget to wash her hair and at times maybe did not want her head under the water; this is a known problem that is not uncommon. Because she had used a salon in years past when she colored her hair, we did not have much trouble convincing her to start going to a salon again once a week and this has been a wonderful help to have her hair clean and fixed at least once a week, and it's so much better for her dignity and for her husband to be able to proudly take her out to some events. When I visit I take her to the salon myself and I was so impressed that they were so kind and patient to her, as they had been informed of the situation and were very understanding. When I was there with her one time, while my hair was being washed my family member became confused a little since she couldn't see me, and the staff were so nice to reassure her that I was still there and bring her to sit next to me while they did my hair. They know how to reassure her during the process and she is able to enjoy it and feel good about herself. We also liked that they have facial waxing and nail services, so she can have all 3 services in one place, and the salon has a pleasant open atmosphere. I observed the staff seemed very competent and I noticed other clients' beautiful hair results, so when I visited last time I had my nails done, and my long curly hair done as well; I experienced several blow outs, and hair color with highlights. I was very happy with the results and would recommend them to anyone: they are a very modern salon and can do anything from complicated cuts and color, nice smooth blowouts, to very traditional styles such as my older family member wanted. I get my hair permed every year so I have easy to maintain body in my hair. It's been increasingly difficult to find someone who still does perms. I reached out to H2O Salon and found out that Fernanda still does perms. I scheduled a consult months out and we discussed what I was looking for as the end result. I had found an old picture of the rollers that my previous stylist used and how she set up the rollers in my hair and was able to send the picture to the salon before my appointment so Fernanda could have a reference picture. The day of the perm, Fernanda referenced the photo and changed how she piggy-backed the rollers, but the end result was still exactly what I wanted. It takes a while to get my hair in rollers since my hair is on the longer side, so a few of the other stylists pitched in and helped. It was awesome to see the teamwork. Everyone was professional, courteous, and kept checking in with me to see if I needed anything to drink and if I was doing ok. Fernanda was very detail oriented and make sure to get the perm chemicals in each of the rollers, but at the same time, she make sure not to get the chemicals in my eyes. Once everything had time to do its magic and was washed out, the look of the perm was spot on to the perms that I had in the past. If you're looking for a salon that still does perms, ask for Fernanda at H2O Salon, you won't be disappointed. I like that the salon has so many accommodations that they are able to make, such as a quiet experience, so you're not pressured into conversing when you prefer to be quiet. The clippers that some of the stylists use were so quiet, I couldn't even tell they were on and I was sitting in the next chair over, it wasn't until I saw the hair fall off of their client that I realized the clippers were on. Even the hair dryers that the salon uses are on the quieter side. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at H2O Salon. I will definitely be back again. read more

I'm really upset after going here yesterday. I told the stylist how I wear my hair and that I was trying to phase out long layers so my hair would look thicker at the ends, I came back with far more drastic and pronounced layers than I came in with, and it seems like it was because my original stylist understood my wishes but in the middle of the haircut some other stylist came over. It felt like he was going higher but they had spoken in spanish and I caught key phrases (shorter/longer, whatever) I assumed the original stylist conveyed my wishes. My hair now looks awful and completely contrary to what I asked for, and it will probably take a few months to grow out this error. I'm extremely annoyed UPDATE: After thinking through this whole thing a few other points: * the stylist definitely knew I wanted to get away from the layers, because I told her my rationale was that i wanted it looking thicker at the ends, and it was wavy anyway so you can't really see layers. She confirmed, "Oh yes, it will look thicker at the ends if you don't get layers". It is clear she understood me. The ONLY reason I can think she proceeded to do the exact opposite is being distracted, she had family or friends in the waiting area and stopped cutting my hair a few times to talk with them. The owner offered me my money back and a free trim, but I would never trust this place with my hair again. Both as he cut it and when he called back, he kept talking to me about a diffuser and I kept repeating i don't want to use one, that's not how I style my hair. He confirmed it would take six months to fix. I mean, great he gave me $50 dollars back but I would gladly have paid $500 to not have my hair look a way I hate for the next 6months and that's assuming I don't trim as normal to get it to be fixed that fast. + The other thing still really bothering me is after the cut, I felt my heart drop and I asked the original stylist Sonia, "Why is so much length gone?" because it was not AT ALL what we talked about. She straight up lied to my face and said "not much" length came off. I thought maybe I was losing my mind or it was just seeing my hair out of its normal waves and styling. So i literally went home and styled it as normal and dragged out a picture and yeah they cut off about four or five inches in new layers that literally were not there in the picture from a week prior. When the owner called back, he kept saying again just use a diffuser, it is clear he did not listen at all about how I do my hair, and I would not trust him with wavy hair at all. I'm still so disappointed. There isn't even a way I can fix this with money or extensions and get back what i had, my hair color is not common nor is my wave pattern so yeah idk I GUESS maybe I could get extensions to mask this issue but I found out they damage your hair, I doubt it would be easy to match them to my hair without dying the whole thing, and I doubt they would match my wave pattern unless I want to get extensions then also add on a completely different hair care routine than what I do, which I told them about in depth. Honestly the more I think about this the madder I am, I don't care that they gave me $50 dollars back I would absolutely have forked over $500 to avoid having my hair screwed up and look awful for the next 6+ months, so the refund is meaningless, and remembering the conversation and the straight up lie to my face that they didn't "cut much" afterwards, it seems obvious the stylist realized she wasn't paying attention and just straight up lied to my face to cover her a@#. Appointment with Ish aka Hicham who took my orange hair (I asked for caramel highlights on my already light brown hair) back to a more natural color with beautiful dimension. She spent time listening to what I wanted, demonstrated on my hair beforehand, and double checked on everything during the cut. Afterwards, she went back over everything to make sure everything was to my liking before putting the finishing touches. The salon is very modern yet you'll still feel welcomed when you walk in. Everyone was friendly and was more than willing to help if I had any questions. There's ample parking and the salon is in a good location. I got my hair and my sister's hair done at H2O salon on October. The reason to why I'm writing my review now because I left a review on their website but the owner responded to it "this is a fake review" so here I'm writing my review on Yelp in order to be able to include pictures. On the day of the service I was at H2O from 10am to 8pm, I trusted you with my hair. I thought the service would be great just as the salon appeared from the inside "fancy looking" I came in and talked to Hope Guzman the day before I got the service done and explained to her this is the hair color I wanted Brown-Hazel NOT ORANGE NOR BLONDE. The first time she did it it was kinda orange-blonde I was told the color will wash off if I use the purple shampoo which I did purchased. I waited a few months but didn't see any results so I was disappointed. I changed my review from 5 stars to 1star because of the poor quality "remember I paid to get my hair done & I tipped out" so I should've received what I paid for. After I changed my review from 5 to 1 star I got a text message from Orlando asking me if I could give them a second chance to fix my hair but he mentioned that I would still have to pay to get it fixed. Then texted me again stating "You don't have to pay & I will pay Hope out of my pocket" sounds fair enough doesn't ? So I scheduled my second hair appointment & went to H2O salon giving them a second chance. I walked-in on Monday & Hope was at the front desk I said good morning but she refused to greet me or look at me. I got greeted by Eddie he explained to me the process of the hair coloring and tried the colors on a wig before they put it on my hair "that should've been done on my first visit to avoid all of this mess". Hope started working on my hair and asked how was I doing, "finally she decided to talk" etc.... I could tell from her eyes expression she didn't want me to be there or deal with me "it's not my fault if I didn't get the service That I asked for". After she finished Eddie advised me to purchase Olaplex shampoo/ conditioning to help my hair color last longer and healthier which I did purchased, and I tipped Hope "even though she was catching attitude". I have also recommended H2O to my sister to get her hair done "that recommendation was on my first visit" also by Hope "unfortunately". My sister wanted Ombré silver blue as the picture I attached. My sister also came-in a day before for a hair consultation. IF YOU THINK FOR SOME REASON IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE CERTAIN HAIR COLOR FOR SOME REASON, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN HONEST TO YOU CLIENTS AND JUST SAY I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Honesty and integrity is required in the business industry. I dropped off at H2O around 9am & I went back to pick her up at 8:15 pm I was shocked by the hair color but didn't say anything I thought my sister changed her mind and possibly asked for blue-green color instead of Ombré. I was also shocked by the amount of hair that Hope cut "she literally chopped off half of her beautiful long hair" my sister said "I asked her to cut the ends only, since they got damaged because of multi bleaching process". Hope told her the color will change to silver once she uses the silver shampoo. My sister went and purchased it immediately, she was excited about getting her hair colored for the first time. Sadly, the color turned out to get worst and worst. So she spoke to Eddie over the phone to explain to him what's going on with her hair. My sister said he was very rude and accused her of lying and was talking over her trying to defend Hope "his perfect professional hairstylist" as he stated. I thought clients have the Right to complain when they're not happy about the service but H2O has absolutely proven me wrong. They will treat you nice and speak to you all day along if you're happy about the service but Once you complain watch how their attitude will switch instantly. My sister and I spent no less than $1,163 on our hair just to get unprofessional service. Never returning to H2O, I apologize to my sister for recommending this place for her & I apologize to my followers on social media for recommending this place to them. I need to revise my review after speaking with another salon. I think the people here are great, they work like a team. My only complaint is I was told that dying my hair would cost 70$. No one told me that I would have to pay for toner and this and that. My daughter and I both went the same day. So we go in expecting to pay 140 plus tips. Before we left our totals were almost 500$. I about cried. The salon we just went to suggested we revise our rating so this won't happen to anyone else. I still think great people there but heck my hair color isn't what I was expecting considering I brought a photo.
