My friend group with little ones brought our little families together and rented an airbnb for the holiday week which came with full access to the community amenities including this club. It was the Friday of July 4th weekend when we decided to head to the very crowded pool on a very hot day. We fortunately were able to get in although it was previously at capacity a few minutes prior but our little swimmers had a ball and so did we. They also had a kids splash pad on the other end of the pool in which we spent 3 hours after an hour in the pool and our little ones and ourselves had no idea time flew so quickly. So I guess the saying on time flying when you're having fun is accurate. The only drawback for the adults was the limited food options at the food stand. We found food but the options were very limited and we didn't have a quick option to anything else for lunch time. All in all a great vacay with our group of littles!

The entire deck area was rehabbed and replaced in 2010, so the whole place is looking fresher. Bathrooms and locker rooms are pretty much the same they have been for ~20 years. Com early to enjoy the pool itself, it gets very, very crowded late in the day and on weekends.

Make sure to get the family pack of 4 tickets if you have as many people - you'll pay less per ticket. And bring in your own cooler with food and drinks.

She started off the summer refusing to put her head under water, and ended the summer not only putting her head under, but swimming in the deep end without floaties on. Lori made my daughter feel comfortable while also being firm in what she needed to do. I could tell right off the bat that she clearly has a ton of experience working with children. Lori also always arrived to the pool early which I greatly appreciated, and communicated scheduling over text which made things super easy. 5 stars!! We'll be using her again next summer!! After only one lesson, my oldest and I were already swimming across the pool (albeit clumsily, but I was amazed!) and all of us had learned to back float for safety. Subsequent lessons have given us more confidence and skills to build on these basics. Coach Lori is an excellent teacher who has the ability to be instructive, give actionable feedback and build confidence. Moreover, she travels to us, which makes the whole experience incredibly convenient. Her prices are also very reasonable for private lessons--they cost as much as group lessons in NYC where we are from--with far better results in a much quicker time! We couldn't recommend her more.

With that being said, the guy that works here is an absolute miserable person. To explain, I went to pick up a scorecard and he flipped out. He yelled and said that "he was the only one allowed to touch the scorecards". This is a mini golf course, not the Masters. Furthermore, he wouldn't let you pick your own club so my club was way too short for me. On top of that, he let way too many people on the course at once and it was impossible to move. It took almost two hours to finish the course. Also, when I was in the middle of a hole, the guy came out with leaf blower and was holding everyone up. Just an unbelievable experience. In the same manner, the course itself was not good. To clarify, the course was extremely hilly and the greens were uneven. The golf balls would just roll by themselves. In addition, the course was only designed for right handed players. There were several holes where you couldn't even hit as a lefty due to trees and bushes. It was simply a poorly designed course. In all, Shell We Golf is one of the worst mini golf courses that I've ever played due to poor design and rude employees.

By the time we got here the facilities up front were closed so I have no idea what was available sans for restrooms and an outdoor shower. According to the website, shower and changing facilities are available, along with a food concession, chair & umbrella rentals, even a Mobi-Mat which allows wheelchairs to be pushed onto the beach (such a great idea). The sandy area is very wide and stretches for 3 miles with zero shady spots or trees. Lifeguards were gone for the day with their stands turned upside down. I noticed some vehicles actually parked on the beach near the northern end, a very cool perk that is not allowed back home. Ocean conditions were fairly calm but most folks were in waist-high water at most. OVERALL: Spacious real estate, but coming from Hawaii, my expectations are set too high, LOL.

I thought the playground was in exceptional shape, and though it had other visitors each time we went, was never overly crowded. The pickleball courts seemed to be well-used, too, and the overall facility was very well maintained. There is a small parking area for maybe 8 cars or so, and I don't believe street parking was available immediately outside the driveway, but it was surely sufficient for most visits.
