H2O Swim Team has been one of the best investments I've ever made for my child. The coaches are very professional, friendly, and they teach the kids extremely well. My daughter absolutely loves being there. She even wants to train seven days a week before her swimming lessons start! We tried many other activities before, including ballet, martial arts, and even private swim lessons at the YMCA, but after a couple of months she usually didn't want to continue. With H2O Swim Team, it's completely different. She is excited to go every time, and you can really see her confidence and skills improving. While trying unsuccessfully to get my daughter into the city's swim classes for months, I was growing frustrated with their limited availability and how insanely quickly they would fill up within seconds after becoming available online. I eventually researched alternatives and found H2O Swim and was able to sign my daughter up right away. She started in the "Beginner" Learn to Swim program, and within nine months, she had progressed her way through the "Beginner", and "Advanced" Learn to Swim programs, and on to the "Pre-Team" program. When they asked if my daughter would like to move up to the "Pre-Team", I felt a little apprehensive, as did she, because she is reserved and sometimes lacks confidence - especially when trying new things, but the owner, Coach Walid, thought this next step would help her with these things. Fast-forward to now:  After being on the "Pre-Team" program for almost three months, I have witnessed impressive strides in my daughter's swimming skills. More importantly, as Coach Walid had said, I've seen an increase in her confidence, self-discipline, and commitment.  I also want to express my appreciation for all the coaches.  They are professional, friendly, patient, and encouraging, and genuinely want to make each swimmer strive for their best. The classes emphasize not only drills but also a strong focus on technique as well.  Their goal is to have each child become well-rounded, competent swimmers. We've had a fantastic experience with h20. We were referred by a friend while looking for a program to help my son prepare for the junior lifeguard test. It was a perfect fit - the instructors are engaging, the practices are fun. My son's time improved rapidly and he never felt discouraged. This is a wonderful team. My son joined the pre-team group last month and has been consistently perfecting all four strokes before he's ready to join the team. He's training with Cynthia, who's wonderful. She spends a lot of time with each swimmer. She's also very engaged and caring. My son loves the sessions and he has improved a great deal. read more

Coach Walid is an outstanding coach. He cares deeply about each swimmers individual success, inside and outside the pool.

We love H20! We are having an amazing experience so far. Great communication, excellent quality instruction and the coach is so supportive of my boys. My youngest used to be scared of the pool, and he now gets excited for lessons. In fact, both boys are asking when their next swim lessons are each week, and cheer when I tell them it's a swim day. If your kids are more advanced, the head coach used to be a National competitive swimmer. Plus Santa Monica pool is gorgeous and heated all year round. Walid is an amazing coach that blends knowledge, experience, and encouragement to make swimming fun for his athletes. This is a great swim program led by a dedicated and experienced coach. Coach Walid coached my daughter for about 8 months and it made a huge difference in her swimming. He was able to teach her in a fun and engaging way while teaching proper technique. So when he started the H2O program we were excited to join. A few months in, we're getting so much more than we expected. It's like getting a private one-on-one lesson even though he teaches several swimmers at a time. He praises their strengths and helps them work on their individual skills and needs. My daughter looks forward to learning while having fun at each practice.
