In NJ we had a few in South Jersey but they closed decades ago becuz of the huge multiplexes. I heard about this place and wanted so badly to check it out. Now if u live where I do or close to the Philly area it's about a 2 hour and a half . But it's def worth the trip. It would be cool, for a family and kids as kids r free 11 and under which is a big savings $$$$$. They have your drive in which late last year in August the price $8 a person . U can't beat it . My girlfriend and her kids and I left early to get there by dusk .Get there early so u can get a good place since u r outside with this massive screen . Plus, I would recommend to bring goodies we had a cooler for drinks and brought snacks and hoagies. But they have a place where they sell the usual movie eats like popcorn, ice cream, hotdogs, corn dogs, drinks. The great thing is it is kinda nostalgic since I remember them in my early teens. And it's so cool to be outside instead of inside a theater and watch several movies for one price. They run the current movies and I also checked out the Midway's snack center which most where with kids buying drinks , popcorn ,,and candy. If you don't mind driving a couple hours, it is worth the trip. I had a blast It was just so much fun . Def , check it out , I def want to go back and stay overnight since the town is quaint and not overdeveloped like most towns. Def hope it is open in 2017.

There's a reason Bengies has been around for 70 years and still going strong. I've read people mention their rules and I have to say, they're not hard to follow. If you go to someone's house, you should respect all of their rules, no exceptions. All of their policies are listed on their website and it's the responsibility of the patron to read, understand and adhere to them. It keeps it so it's a peaceful environment for everyone. Their food is delicious and affordable compared to any movie theatre. Their entry fee covers double features which is again more affordable than a normal movie theatre. They allow you to make it as enjoyable as possible. I've been there in my pickup truck where I was able to inflate a mattress in the bed of my truck and watch Halloween movies while under a blanket and in my sleeping bag. I've been there in my convertible where I was able to park closer to the front and enjoy the cool summer night. You can bring your own chairs, blankets, small tables, or whatever you need to make it a memorable experience for you and your family. Pro tip, get there early to get a good spot and avoid long lines.

At first I was not really impressed ... minus the staff who was my actual first impression and they were very nice and cool. I was surprised we got there a few minutes before gates opened and the whole road was filled with a line to get in. They have one gate and let two cars enter. We had to buy tickets ahead of time and it was per person - not sure if this is common or just for this theater or just for special events. We went for the Godzilla Kong two day event. There is only one large theater and they gave us like no directions on where to park or what to do or anything. We got a spot pretty up close and it was not easy to see where to leave from - they definitely need more markers. I think they assume many people here are regulars but that was not the case and direction by mouth or way of sign would have been helpful. We felt so bad leaving and were not sure if we went out the "theater" correctly. They have a very small like merch stand and a very old snack stand that does have bathrooms- I got nervous seeing the port-a-potties. The bathrooms are very tiny and the stalls are even tinier so if you're claustrophobic (or a more plus sized person) it might not be super comfortable. They did have a decent amount of snacks and I like that they also sold vhs and vinyl inside. There were a bunch of cool displays for this event which I also enjoyed. I do not like that they didn't have radios to rent. Not really trusting using my car radio I did have to purchase a radio to be able to pair. They basically have an mc/dj who made a curated playlist and talked about the movies before hand. It didn't get dark until 9:15 - we only stayed for one movie because of how late it was and when we left we didn't realize how crowded it was. There definitely were some pros and cons to this theater- we'll probably be back mostly for convenience because it was a straight shot up 476 which made getting here really easy. It definitely is a bit more ... noticeably old and I don't know if they play new movies or not. But overall it was enjoyable. It was a clear night with a lot of cars, music, special events, costumes, and just a fun vibe throughout. The on-site radio station runs programming and music up to dusk and the start of the night. We listened from a warm SUV close to the screen and even though everyone was in their own little clusters, we all laughed and cheered loud enough to carry across the open field. The people running this show do it out of love for film, the drive-in experience, and the people who come to see these films. The movies are scheduled so it brings together fans of horror, fantasy, schlock, shock, and classic Gen-X flicks. Check out their podcast which can be linked on their website. In addition to a great concession stand, they've got cool swag and merch. The portable toilet experience is hit or miss, but that's a minor bit of 'roughing it' in exchange for the experience. When we were there, a concert was playing up the road and sometimes competed with the sound of the movies, but I didn't mind that so much as some entitled whine-factories. It's just like it felt back toward the end of the golden era when I was growing up in the 70s and early 80s. Movies on a big white screen outside among a thousand close strangers. Definitely worth the drive if you're between New York and DC.

Well, that's what I did. I went to Midtown cinema to see Sinners. It was a rainy, gloomy day, so it was perfect to go to the movie theater. I worked for myself, so I was able to go to a matinee at roughly about 1 PM. It was a very nice experience. Since I since I had the theater to my entire self I purchased a popcorn and a soda and of course the movie ticket! Well I was surprised to only find out that my bill came out to be $32 for a movie midday however I continued to watch the movie and this movie was okay! But that part that threw me off were the vampires. I definitely wasn't expecting that, but that was a great little pot plot twist at the end. I was not too fond of it, but the cinema was very nice. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff made up for it. I actually got a chance to talk to one of the staff members and we talked about movies and I told them how I didn't understand why it was vampires and then also Hoodoo which I came to find out. Is a different type of magic than Voodoo. I love that the film was fictional and based on a folklore, talking to someone at the movie theater, who actually studied film themselves was an amazing experience. I enjoy the conversation with the staff more than the movie.

We thought we had bought tickets for a showing, but we actually bought tickets for the showing the…read moreday before. When we went to the movie, we were told the tickets were for the day before. We asked if we could use them for that day. They told us yes, but the theaters were packed, so we were okay with separate seating. Then they were going to charge us for another ticket. There were three of us. I asked them to refund our money for the tickets, but was told, "Oh, we can't do that. I'll give you two passes instead of three." So, your policy states that you only give refunds up to minutes before the movie. If somebody didn't see the movie, you can tell by the pass on the computer that it wasn't used. Why can't you give them a full refund or give them three passes to see a movie another day? It doesn't make sense to me. I would like my third pass, or I'd like all my money returned. Would like upper management to get a hold of me greatly appreciate it thank you
