Only local comedy club in the area. However, it does not disappoint. Do not think I've ever seen a bad act. The first time I got food, I got the shrimp corn nachos for $14.95. I do have to say there was a ton of shrimp, which is awesome. However, there was barely any Pico or poblano avocado sauce. I wish there was more. The parking lot is huge however due to the restaurant and comedy club it gets pretty full. If you are hungry before, show boomerang is good to eat at. read more

This is probably the best thing about Boomerangs restaurant. Located within the restaurant is a small, but decent sized comedy club. Came here with my boyfriend. We had the pleasure of seeing a show that featured, "Raymond the Amish Comic." The opening act was Danny. He was very funny and interacted with the audience. Raymond was GREAT. I've never laughed for an hour straight before. Food is available off of a very limited menu. There is a cocktail menu, but you can order any type of alcohol from the bar. As far as waitress service goes, you get a tiny tea-light when you enter. If you need your waitress at any time during the show you put your light on. It's very smart as that doesn't distract others near you and it doesn't interrupt the show at all. One of the best comedy shows I've seen in a long time. read more

Update: 30 April 2023 for show on 29 April 2023, Star Rich Voss I wanted to thank Sven for getting us tickets to this show. We had a great experience last night. I also want to send a few shout-outs to Tammy for being an awesome hostess, our waitress during the show Alexis, who consistently checked on us to make sure we had what we needed and enjoyed the show. After the show we went to the bar area, and our waitress there was McKenzie. She really took care of my wife and I. (She was interested in the date night card question game we were playing. Please let her know that she can find them on Amazon. The ones we used so far are "Better Together and Date Deck") I'm so glad we were able to have a great experience like we've had in the past. This confirms that the one experience was a fluke. Thank you for being professionals and providing a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. A group of us recently attended the comedy show on a Saturday night. Trying to locate the place was difficult. Our GPS took us to a Super 8 motel at first. Additional google searches finally got us to the right spot. The comedy room is situated inside of the hotel and restaurant complex. The staff was friendly upon our arrival and seated us quickly. The seating was kind of odd compared to other comedy shows I've been too. It was like being back in a classroom with long tables stretched out from wall to wall facing the stage. I personally would've preferred something more intimate: hightop tables or small group tables to view the show. The drink prices were more than expected. It was $7 for a simple mixed drink in a plastic cup not much bigger than a paper Dixie cup and packed with ice. I would recommend eating before the show and getting a few drinks from the restaurant beforehand. I really did enjoy the mural on the walls behind and adjacent to the stage. Someone painted past and present comedians on the mural which was a fun feature rather than a plain white wall. The comedians were great, but they tailored their jokes to an older crowd. There were three comedy acts for the night, and they tended to reference people and things from decades before we were born. It was hard to find the humor when the jokes weren't relevant. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but I wouldn't plan on our group returning anytime soon. It's one of those things you check out for something fun and different, but wasn't interesting enough to return another time. read more

Great nite of hearty laughter last Saturday.... All five comedians were funny with their own personal stories at their core. My face aches from smiling and laughing the whole show. One note: why are the beers listed as Bottle beers served in plastic cups? How do I know my Stella is not filled from a tap? Wait staff could be a little more quiet during the comedian's sets.... I missed the train of some good lead ups because of the order chatter. read more

I had a good time. Seating arrangement was a little goofy but that seems to be normal for comedy clubs. The restaurant was popping even on a Thursday evening. I really like the wall paintings of various comics along the stage. One thing that stands out is that there is no item minimum, but of course I had to get at least a glass of whiskey anyway. The show was very good, got to have a short conversation with the headliner and his opener, the fact that they just hang out in the bar instead of hiding in the back room after the show was cool. My fiancee and I booked the New Years Eve package with Jay Nog and the band Stoned Alice. We wanted something really fun to end the decade. This was the absolute worst even that I ever attended. While the buffet had a lot of options, the food was bland, had no taste and quite honestly was just bad. It was so cold in the actual comedy theater that my girlfriend and I had to keep our coats on the entire time. We dressed up and wanted to be festive for the evening and we could not. The people that sat beside us were rude, unfriendly and after repeated attempts of saying things to them, they finally left for a little while. No attempt by waitresses, security or anyone to get them to stop. The first drinks we got were juice and no alcohol. They were terrible. We had to resort to drinks that we didn't necessarily care for because I did not want to drink cranberry juice and tonic water all night. The comedy was AWFUL. A good comedian does not need vulgarity to be funny. Each one used sex, drugs, alcohol, and vulgar language to attempt to be funny. Well, that is not funny. Vulgarity is for people who cannot be funny. Very disappointing to say the least. Last, but certainly not least, the band Stoned Alice. I know why they are named this because they have a lead singer that attempted to be Alice Cooper with a little face paint and you could tell every single member of the band was stoned. The lead singer could not hold a note, he had one dance move which was flailing his arms around and could not sing. The guitarists and drummers were ok, but nothing special. We will never return to this venue and we would suggest for people to stay away. I tried to plan a very special night for my fiancee and it turned out terrible. Thanks a lot! read more

I saw Tom Green perform in early December 2014. The Comedy Zone was hard to find due to GPS getting it wrong. If you use GPS for directions, try using "The Budget Inn - New Cumberland" as your point of reference. The Comedy Zone is tucked into a building that holds other businesses as well. (I think, it was dark & there were no signs.) I followed the crowd and figured out I was in the right spot because Tom Green was standing in the doorway of the ticketing booth. They are undergoing major renovations, so the decor and theme was haphazardly in disarray. There was a bar and bathrooms right outside of the club (the club is a room within the same building.) The room in which the comedy club was in, was just a large room with mismatching tables and chairs. I was seated in the back because I was late getting to the show (due to the aforementioned GPS woes), but I could see and hear Tom Green perfectly. Waitresses came around and took drink orders often. The Comedy Zone seems to pull in some decent entertainment, so, it is worth going. Prices on tickets and booze were decent. If the Comedy Zone brings in another act I'm into, I will definitely go again. read more

This is actually a really decent comedy club, located inside a Doc Holiday's Steak House. I've been to two different shows here and definitely had my share of laughs. Tickets are only $12, although I believe they have the usual "must buy at least one drink" code, but there is always 2 comedians, always different every week. The crowd doesn't usually get too rowdy, it's a lot of fun. read more

I love the free open-mic comedy nights on Thursdays. There are usually a lot of comedians, and they hang around after the show so you can talk to them. Most of them are pretty funny, occasionally there is one that is not so funny, but that kind of makes it funny. There are plenty of seats and it is usually chilly inside, so that is nice in the summer. There are also pool tables and darts. Doc Holidays closed down, but the bar still offers some food. I haven't tried any of the new menu, I just go to laugh for free and drink. It is a nice change of pace from loud music and dancing. Fun for a girls night or a date. Cheaper than a movie! read more

Our second visit to the Comedy Zone for my wife and I since Boomerang has taken ownership. Live stand up with very funny national touring comics as well as locals that open. Wait staff offers table service which is prompt and courteous. Cannot give enough kudos to the ownership and headliner "Rich Vos" for how they went out of their way to help me during this visit! I had an issue with my online ticket purchase which was totally my fault, and I did not expect what happened next. Upon explaining my situation to the owner, he actually went out of his way to help me out. I am forever grateful as my wife would have NEVER let me live this one down!! I promise that your good deed will be paid back many times as we plan on making this location a frequent stop in our entertainment lineup. read more

Saw an improv comedy sketch group. My first! More entertaining than I thought it was going to be. Nice place!

I went here years ago when it was the "other" place. The show/comedians were funny and that part of the evening was worth the trip. However, the tables and chairs are set up like a classroom/presentation style. Seating was uncomfortable and cramped. I prefer small table settings where you can sit with those you came with and actually see each other. Perhaps they do this seating style so you don't talk to each other but it was still awkward and uncomfortable. I sat at the end of a row and had to keep moving to accommodate the wait staff. Speaking of which, they all looked as though they just failed an eyebrow makeup tutorial. Because of the seating configuration, the wait staff have to walk directly in front of you. None of them smiled or were even personable. They yelled out the drinks because they couldn't remember who ordered what. We won't go back again because we can see comedians on TV with comfortable seating and cheaper alcohol prices. This place needs an upgrade in ambience and wait staff in order for us to go back, otherwise, we will stay home. read more

Love going to the Harrisburg Comedy Club.. Its not so enormous that you cant see, its a good size, the comedians are funny. We just saw Moe Alexander Last week and we are going again this weekend.. Its a nice night out for my fiancee and I. we dont do the Crazy club scene so its perfect! read more

They don't have a minimum drink policy and they also have live improv every Sunday at 6PM. The entire show is created from audience suggestions so every show is different. They have a pay what you think it's worth policy after the show. The tickets are $10 tickets but you pay whatever you think the show was worth. I think the show's worth $15! read more

Nice room, always good comedy! However, they need to change all their ads; Doc Holliday's is no more, so no restaurant. The only food within a reasonable distance of the club is fast food. We almost missed our show looking for a decent place to eat. And I would advise that you eat first, because the snacks appear to be microwaved horridness and overpriced. Really wish this club could find a better location (2nd St., Hbg, perhaps...?). read more

We weren't really sure how the whole set-up worked when we first went in but the bartender was friendly and well-informed. It was a neat little club and the comedians were awesome. We needed a good laugh and we had plenty of that. The only real issue we could see was it seemed they didn't have enough wait staff to handle the crown. Perhaps someone called off or something. We adapted by going to bar and getting drinks on our own. That was no big deal really. Overall a nice evening. We will go back if we have the chance. read more

I have been to the Comedy Zone several times and have had a fantastic times...on going laughs. My most recent trip in April however the restraunt menu had changed considerably. It was very select and the portions were small and expensive...service had gone down also. I enjoyed the restraunt before...it was the BEST...wish they would go back to how it use to be. read more

All of us had a great time at the show. A little disappointed with food selection so would recommend that you eat somewhere before the show unless you just want burgers, wings or appetizers. Service and food preparation was very slow but we had arrived in plenty of time so it wasn't a big issue. read more
