The cake was one of the best we have had... ever. This was real deal butter creme icing that was not overly sweetened and had a consistency that added a dimension that showcased the cake itself. Wild mushroom quiche was better than any other quiche we have had and Chinatown chicken Salad was huge and tasted great!

They advertise them on their menu, but they always come up with an excuse. They either don't have anyone to make them, or the person who makes them won't be back until later, or they don't have eggs. I've also had problems with their advertisement post on instagram. They advertise specific item's on Instagram for a specific day, but when I show up, the cashier has no idea what I'm talking about. A couple months ago they were advertising house made lemonade on a specific day. I show them the post, and they say they don't sell lemonade and they weren't sure why the owner posted the video, even though my video says otherwise. They also advertise smash burgers on Sundays, but when I show up, they have every excuse imaginable for not having them. I've tried to order sticky buns, which they only have available on the weekends, but they'll have every excuse imaginable for not having them on Saturdays or Sundays. Overall, the business is clearly poorly managed. Don't waste your time visiting unless you're expecting to be disappointed.

I thought I'd written a review about this place before but to my shock I had not…read more I have been coming here since the day they opened, infrequently beacuse I am diabetic but when I want to spoil my body with delicious sugar, honey, this is *IT*. Now I could tell you all about how perfectly tasty everything is. From the classic banana puddings (I prefer the caramel version myself,) to the cookies, to the pineapple upside-down mini cakes. Yes, I could tell you that. But I want to speak to something deeper. I want to speak to belonging and community; and to fairness. As a biracial person with a brown sister, I feel the pull to support black and brown businesses. It's not a secret. And sometimes you do it, and sometimes you privately think "Damn. I wanna be supportive but this place is a mess." Then there's Sweet Life. NOT that. FILLED with good product at a great price, delivered by owners and staff who actually give a damn about being loving and supportive to all different types of people. And did I mention the sweets are POPPIN'? And to that statement of fairness. Today I came in to place an order, and when the price came up, for a moment I thought "Damn. That is a lot higher than I remembered, but I am not about to question them. They set the price and that price is what they deserve." So I paid. But then I noticed there was more in my bag that I'd asked for, and that there had been a miscommunication. When I tell you that this miscommunication was corrected with swiftness *AND* a smile. No shade. No drama. Just an "Ooops, oh well, here's your refund on the balance." I know this seems very basic but we all know it isn't. We have all been in that awkward situation where as a customer we have to point out an error, and the vendor turns it into a Shakespearan tragedy. Not Sweet Life. "Oops. Sorry! Fixed. Love you." So, to recap: Stunningly delicious sweets. Prices fair as hell. Communicative, inclusive staff doing the right thing. You need to take those money dollers and haul your ass over here TODAY. Now...where did I put my insulin pen?

I was so happy to see that she offered a variety of flavors for cakes especially Ube macapuno. We ordered a 8x5 round Ube macapuno cake with Ube buttercream filing and macapuno strings. My gf was in charge of getting the cake which she ordered from Sweet New Creations. The Mommy To Be is a huge Harry Potter fan & I honestly wasn't sure how we would incorporate this theme into a baby shower but we did and boy oh boy was the cake out of this world! The details were amazing! The little baby cake topper was so cute, and they gave instructions on how to keep her (to dry her out) which the mom will do. The cake not only looked amazing it tasted delicious also. Often so many of the ascetically nice looking cakes don't taste so good. In this case it was a win win all around. I usually just have a bite of cake to taste it as I am not a dessert eater but I ate the entire piece. Definitely will go there for cakes in the future!

I also am fully aware it's a small business and with inflation prices are bound to increase but I felt very ripped off. I bought 4 cupcakes - they're $3.50 each - totally fine. Thats $14. I also bought 3 macarons which the girl said were $1.25 each, also totally reasonable. So now I'm at $17.75 Tell me how I spent $41 and change when the only other things I bought were 3 decorated sugar cookies and 6 petit fours. That means I spent $23 on 3 cookies and 6 petit four. Maybe that's an okay price actually . If the cookie were 4 that'd be 12 and then I spent 11 on those cakes. Sure I guess the price isn't bad. Everything was beautiful by the way. But the cupcakes weren't filled. Again not bad for the price. And the petit fours were not the traditional layered I'm used to. Maybe I just expected more ? Again nothing per se is expensive. And the quality isn't bad either I just don't ever leave loving anything I've purchased. My petit fours also got stuck to the wrappers so I had to eat paper. I just wish I could go in here and order something and know I'll love it. I'd spend more if that were the case ! Again- not a bad review. I know my best friend loves their pastries - but it's just not a place for me anymore to get what I love. I wish them the best and many more years ahead!

Walked in, not a large place, but it's clean, smelled great and they have plenty of yummy options that your eyes pick up immediately... you know this place has everything you need from a bakery. They are multiple display cases, fully stocked with a variety of cakes, cookies, donuts, specialty pastries, and more. They have a couple of cake displays, for the full-size, mini-size, and the slices as well. They also do specialty cakes and special order catering too. Their Deli has plenty of side dishes to choose from...especially great if you are going somewhere and you don't want to make anything...let the folks at Giancarlos save the day. To my surprise, they also make pizza pies and to include sell by the slice too !! Ordered two breakfast sandwiches (1x HEC & 1x BEC), both were filling and delicious. The French bread was fresh and soft. We bought the small red velvet cake today, but look forward to returning and try the lemon cake.
