Stopped in with friends for a late afternoon lunch about 3:00. We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink order. The place has an Asian vibe with soft music playing in the background. The selection on the buffet was huge plus they offer the Hibachi area where they will grill up your own concoction of meats veggies and seasonings. The Sushi area had a wide selection of actual sushi along with veggie and "non fish" selections. They also had a peel and eat shrimp area by the sushi. All of the food I tried was very tasty and I was impressed that for mid afternoon, the food was fresh and regularly refilled. We were able to take advantage of the "Lunch Special" pricing that was good until 4:00 along with the senior discount which made for a very reasonably priced lunch. We will definitely be returning.

The food wasn't great. The service was ok. Wasn't a big fan of the lady standing next to me as I got my card out to pay and I had to turn my card to pay. It made me a little uncomfortable be watched like that. The ambiance was a little dark and the restrooms were not clean.

I love the sushi rolls and the variety of items on the buffet. Mostly fresh and hot food on the steam tables. I go here frequently.

I ordered a takeout and damn it was good…read more I had the samurai combo which included the medium rare steak, chicken and shrimp. The noodles on the side were amazing and probably the best I ever had. The service I took the drive through so there wasn't much to talk about there other than he seemed to be a nice friendly guy. Not so sure about the location the environment is really dark, and the brick building looks kinda weird within the location but I guess you should never judge a book by its cover. Would definetly come back once I come back to flint for another trip.

A friend and I went around 7:20pm on a Sunday and somehow felt completely invisible. The "hostess"…read more(big burly guy, huge silver chain, you can't miss him) sat us but didn't bring menus or say anything, so we just sat there confused for a solid 8 minutes. Our server eventually came over with menus, and then it took another 7-ish minutes before we could even order. It wasn't even that busy, which made it more confusing. The miso soup was actually good, lots of seaweed and scallions, love that. But the spoon?? Tiny handle, thick base, and weirdly hot to hold. I felt like I was fighting it the whole time. The crab rangoon though? Delicious. Super creamy filling, not overly crunchy on the outside (which I personally prefer). And the dipping sauce was more on the liquid side, which honestly worked because it coated the rangoon really well instead of just sitting there like jelly. We didn't get side plates. At first they brought out a fork and knife instead of chopsticks (those showed up later with the sushi). Not a huge deal, just... odd. The soy sauce tasted old and STRONG strong. And the bottle was dirty, which didn't help. The floors were also sticky, my shoes were literally sticking on the way out. The whole place smelled like grease and now my jacket does too. Love that for me. Rolls: * Spider Roll - way too many scallions and kind of a weird flavor. * Shrimp Tempura Roll - actually very good, no notes. * Hellfire Roll - nice spicy kick and HUGE. Each piece was basically two bites. The worst part? I left with pretty bad stomach cramps, and these are super normal rolls for me that I order all the time elsewhere. There were a couple decent moments, but between the slow service, sticky floors, questionable soy sauce, and how I felt after... I probably won't be back. Or maybe just grab carry out and stick to simple rolls and those crab rangoons. If I left smelling like fryer oil (one of my biggest pet peeves) and clutching my stomach, I am not handing out 3 stars.

Hands down - 100% the BEST sushi I've ever had in Michigan!…read more I was skeptical. I'm a sushi snob. Here's the real deal. The yellowtail can go toe-to-toe with any Vegas yellowtail. Same for the eel sashimi. That was excellent. I loved the salmon nigiri (they just call it salmon sushi). The superstar was the teriyaki tofu, which tasted a whole lot like agedashi tofu. I had two servings. There was a really good selection and nothing tasted old or fishy. More importantly the fish was actually raw! Every bit of sushi I've had up until now in Michigan has been lox (weird), imitation crab, or cooked. Now, don't get me wrong. There was still weird, but it was manageable weird, so let's talk about it. Eel roll was mostly strips of cucumber- a large, large portion of cucumber. So much cucumber. I did taste a bit of eel, but let's be honest. That was a cucumber roll. The spicy tuna was pale. That was different. I'm not used to that, and I got a little scared. It was... Ok. It had crunchies in it. The sashimi was aggressive. You get a chunk of fish. There you go. Enjoy your chunk. This is how we do it in Michigan. This restaurant is in the spot where the Old Country Buffet was. The decor has completely changed and it's not really bougie or elegant, but it is pretty. It's also very clean. It is also HUGE. That means you need to come here and take a seat. This really is exceptional food, and we want them to stay open. So go there. Right now. The dinner price is lunch price in Las Vegas. This is definitely a deal. Enjoy!

First off I'll say the food was good enough for lunch and a chain. I got the steak and chicken…read moreteriyaki with the noodles (my friends got the fried rice) and the vegetables. The noodles still had a little bite to them which was nice, the vegetables were crunchy, steak was cut very thin but flavorless, the chicken had a nice crispy edge I do like it charred but it was charred too much and it was dry and stringy. Teriyaki has a nice flavor although it's quite thin like soy sauce. Pools in the bottom of your bowl. So don't keep adding more like I did it's in there it's just not on your food it's in the bottom of the bowl. The chili Sriracha was really where it was added had great flavor and stuck to your noodles good that's what the red stuff is in my photos. The potstickers are pretty decent and the crab rangoon needs more crab but has a nice flavor and is crunchy. There's plenty of seating, everything was very clean (they were wiping things down as we sat there), there's lots of parking and it's centrally located on Miller road to other things and there's music going if you like hip hop .....so the ambiance is in the eye of the beholder. Service was quick although she never did smile and I could barely hear her when she talked but the woman who was making the bowls in the back had more personality. My biggest gripe is the prices are extremely high for what you get. We paid $60 for three people that's a nice sit-down meal at Applebee's. What I will add though is you get plenty of food so we were able to eat on our bowls twice so you're really getting two meals. All in all it was nothing special but nothing to complain about either just a chain type experience.
