The sushi and sashimi have been consistently excellent across my visits, and I especially appreciate that the menu goes well beyond the typical American sushi restaurant. There are plenty of traditional Japanese dishes and chef's-choice options, so it's a place where I'm always tempted to try something different. The atmosphere adds to the experience too. It has this intimate, neighborhood Japanese restaurant vibe that reminds me so much of stumbling upon a sushi spot in Kyoto. If you love traditional Japanese food and care more about quality and authenticity than elaborate specialty rolls, Sharaku is absolutely worth the trip.
