We visited Habaneros during a weekday for lunch and I was skeptical...but wow, the beef enchiladas were so delish. The rice and beans were also exceptional. They weren't too busy so we were able to get in and out quickly. They were playing Fernand the Bull on the big screen and then after that Monsters Inc. I thought that was pretty cool...i guess because i have a 3 year old. We had 6 people in our group which i guess they automatically add gratuity for that big of a party. that was irritating. They also $4 for a soda/tea/lemonade. That is also irritating and the highest i have seen. Water for the future visit! This was a return visit for lunch at Habaneros and we were not disappointed. The lunch crowd was non-exhistent so we had our choice of booths. We sat down and automatically noticed the dimmed lights, odd for the middle of the day but not a big deal until one of the lights was flickering off and on the entire time. The waitress dropped off chips and two cups of warm salsa right away. We received the menus but had to ask for the lunch menu as it was not automatically given to us. I ordered an agua de horchata (no free refills) and sour cream chicken enchiladas from the lunch menu and my wife got a glass of water and an order of chicken flautas from the lunch menu. Both meals came with rice and refried black beans. I was surprised to see the black beans because I think of pinto beans when I read refried beans, but they were still good. The rice was a little on the salty side which i gobbled up, but my wife was not as forgiving with her low salt diet. Overall it was another real good experience. Main points included that the agua de horchata was a little on the small side, especially when it includes no free refills and the rice was a little on the salt side. 7/18 I am updating my previous review after going in to eat the location. This place is an authentic Mexican food hole in the wall. While they may be a little disorganized when using services like Grubhub, I think you will have a good experience if you actually go in and eat at the physical location. It seems to be a family run business which can get backed up with high volume. But the price point is great for authentic "Street Tacos". I would try it again. 6/18 Not sure what happened given their great reviews. We ordered for the whole office on Friday for lunch. We call Grubhub at 11:20 am and were told from the restaurant that our order would be ready at 11:45-11:55 am. We did not hear back so we called the restaurant at 12:23 pm. We were told that the order was still not ready. It seemed like the Grubhub driver left after waiting. We sent someone from the office to pick up the food at 12:45. The person handling the cash register was rude about what happened and told us that he would not charge for drinks. When we got the order back to office, not only were the drinks not there but 10 items out of a $58.34 order were missing. Yikes. We called back and were told that the manager was no longer in. We reached out to Grubhub and they refunded us $10. I think this may be a great taco joint but I don't think they can handle large office orders. I would not take a chance on catering. Spanish rice was very good and refried beans were awesome. Salsa has lots of chili's in it and good and spicy. Chips were room temperature and crunchy. Had sweet tea that was perfectly sweetened like good Texas tea. This is a nice building, easy parking, cement stained floors, nice booths and lots of tables for large groups. Went there yesterday for the umpteenth time with my mom and brother. Finally got to eat inside again since we've all had our vaccines. I've never had a bad meal there, but yesterday's was special. I ordered the camarones a la diabla, one of my favorite dishes. I told our server Kevin that I wanted it extra, extra spicy. When he brought our drinks back to the table, my brother told Kevin that he would give everyone a $20 tip if they could make it so spicy that I couldn't eat it. A few minutes later out comes the shrimp dish. It was wonderfully spiced with habaneros in their tasty sauce. When Kevin came to see how I was doing, he used the word "respect" when he saw I was easily progressing through the dish. He used that word twice more before we left. I asked him how many habaneros were in there and he said 4. No match for me. My brother's money was safe. LOL It's strange reading bad reviews for Habaneros. I've been going there since they opened and have never had a bad meal or experienced bad service. Do not let those reviews sway you from visiting this wonderful place. read more

Updated #3. 3/11/18 If you look at my checkins I was a regular here. Last week I Went in to have a margarita and I ordered a large strawberry margarita. Very very watered down, no tequila at all, felt like I was drinking a strawberry slush from sonic lol. idk what happened to this place it was amazing at the beginning. Will definitely not be coming back, luckily I've found another place. Update #2 I still love the food but I'm taking away a star for them having super loud karaoke and for the margaritas, my margarita came semi frozen , before when the owner was the bartender the glasses were cold now they just serve it in a regular glass. I asked her if the mango was the same she said yes, I can't believe they are serving margaritas that aren't done . I'm sure the owner doesn't know , so I ordered an horchata instead, that was delicious the best I've had for sure. Now the karaoke I can't hear my spouse talking across the table from me. I just thought you may want to know that we had a not so pleasant experience here during happy hour today April 12, 2019. Our server was Sonia Rivera. She kept forgetting to bring our drinks, never brought one person hers. She brought my friend the drink that I had ordered. She forgot the "to go" box and the decided she needed to put all the drinks on my tab. I asked her about it and she said oh I thought that's what you said.
