I was hit by a drunk driver and had bodily injury. I tried to negotiate my uninsured motorist claim with my insurance company and felt like the offer was low and they were digging in their heels. After interviewing at least 4 other lawyers, I decided to go with Noel. He is personable, listens well, and shows compassion. Another deciding factor was that he had experience on the other side of these negotiations and had insights into their tactics. Noel directed me to a hand specialist to write a med-legal report and it gave us great leverage. My experience with this firm was due to a vehicle accident (VTA Truck) in which my mother and I were rear-ended. We were actually referred to this firm by a chiropractor in San Jose (apparently they work very closely). From the very beginning his assistant (Paralegal) was nice, but we NEVER met Noel. She was our point of contact at all times, and needless to say slow contact sometimes. During our two or three visits to the office, she was direct and clear but was not very thorough in explaining the process or answering questions. Keep in mind this was the first time my mother or I were involved in an accident or with an attorney, we were pretty ignorant. They were not very helpful. On our third visit it was to sign off paperwork and pick-up a check. Again, we met with his assistant and she briefly explained the total collected from insurance, how much their fees were, and how much the chiropractic fees were (they said they were paying him directly). All in all, they just provided a check (directly from their firm) and did not provide other paperwork or proof from VTA. I asked and was not given an answer. I called a few times later to request to see all paperwork pertaining to my file and my mothers file, to no avail. I believe I even emailed them requesting it, with no result. I simply feel that although they did yield results in terms of compensation, it was not a fair compensation AT ALL. I would never recommend this firm nor opt for their help again. Their approach seemed hurried and impersonal. read more
