After several years of cortisone shots I finally decided to have the joint surgically repaired. Boy, had things ever changed since my first visit several years earlier. First, Dr. Puckett does not regularly see patients anymore. That task has been relegated to a nurse practitioner. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. The bad is one of his nurses, Matt Daniel. All of my dealings with Mr. Daniel were confrontational. He refuses to listen and is more interested in being accusatory than actually helping patients. Case in point . . . My surgery was scheduled for December 8, 2022. On the Monday prior, I had an appointment with my cardiologist (I have a-fib) to get cleared for my surgery. On Tuesday and Wednesday I had my pre-op with the hospital and Specialty Orthopaedics. On Wednesday I was waiting for a phone call from a hospital nurse to give me pre-op instructions when Matt called and told me I had to be back at the cardiologist at 2:00PM - the same time as my phone call. I might mention that I live in Cleveland, GA so every trip I have to make to Gainesville is 50 miles round trip and pretty much takes a whole day. After the second cardiologist appointment I went on home thinking that everything was set for surgery. Then at 5:30pm on Thursday evening - the night before my surgery - Matt called and asked me if I had made my cardiologist appointment that afternoon. When I told him "yes" he advised me that that still did not have surgical authorization from them. I asked what he wanted me to do about that. He said they could not proceed with surgery with the cardiologist's authorization. Finally, out of frustration, I told him that I was going to be at the hospital the following morning at my appointed time and that if they wanted to perform the surgery they could and if they didn't, I would go home. The surgery went ahead as planned. But Dr. Puckett refused to address how I had been treated by his staff. He didn't say ten words to me before the anesthesia took over. The surgery was successful. That's a good thing. But I will never use this practice again because of the way I was treated. Charles Massingale

The check in desk is filled with some great staff, who are perky, friendly and filled with great knowledge and information. The rooms are clean, and well laid out . The supervisor was always around, making sure the patients were going in on time and doing well. Overall, a very smooth operation.

Let me start off by saying I'm generally prone to having sinus infections, I visited this clinic…read morebecause my normal clinic I go to was closed, I was asked multiple questions like usual to pinpoint what the issue is, but during I had mentioned that I was almost positive that it was a sinus infection, same symptoms as usual, lime green mucus stuffy/runny nose, pressure in nasal area etc. After checking my throat and ears this girl tells me that she believes it could be strep and that the test is $15, of course I pay it and it comes back negative, she proceeds to tell me that I have fluid in my ear but is not an infection yet.....I asked for antibiotics anyway, but because she said she didn't see the infection they wouldn't prescribe it, fast forward to the checkout window and $57 later, I go to another clinic who did diagnose it as a sinus infection....now I don't normally make posts like this or posts at all but I was so aggravated that I had to spend money at this place and another place because the staff was not capable of doing there job, I will definitely not be coming back here ever

At the one hour mark I was taken to a room and my stats were taken about 10 minutes later. Then more waiting. I finally went out into the hall and asked how much longer and I was to 30 more minutes at which time I went to the front and got my copay back. I never saw a doctor or provider anywhere during my visit. When I asked where the doctor was I was told they only had providers present. I told the girl I had been talking to that this was absolutely unacceptable. She looked at me , said have a nice day and walked off. I will never go there again! It had been recommended to me by a friend so I was expecting professional service. If there was a zero star rating that would be my choice.

Because I was treated the day after my symptoms began the PA's treatment approach was "not to do anything crazy like a normal course of 7 or 10 day antibiotics." I received a 5-day script of Azithromycin (not Z-Pak) with a 1-dose-per-day. After a week my symptoms only got worse. I had to miss 3 days of work. Being 65 the congestion concerned me most. So I called them back to request they call in an expectorant to break up the congestion. They said I would need to pay them AGAIN in order for them to call a script for congestion in. Though this establishment is not corporately owned (their words not mine) it sounds like Dr Perry as the owner has a bottom line corporate business model. More and more small town establishments are all about the money. This was my first and last time at this facility. Don't waste your money once or twice if they try and finagle your hard-earned dollars. And, don't bother researching them via their website. It's been non-existent (down) for some time. But that makes sense. I hope this helps the working man trying to feed his family in rural GA.

The second visit wasn't the same. Dr. Abernathy was the doctor on duty and it was the worst experience I've ever had at an ER. I literally saw the doctor for a maximum of about 30 seconds. He acted as though I was a bother and didn't have time for me. He was rude and abrupt. If I ever have to go back, my first question will be if doctor Abernathy is on duty. If so and I am able, I will immediately go to a different hospital
