Tonight was a sad night... i tried to order on the app for pickup, it gave me no pickup times, therefore i could not place order. My guess was becauseit was getting close to closing time and they don't allow pickup orders at that time since the dining area closes at 9pm (which i didn't know until i got there). I ended up going through the drive thru, ordering two charburgers with cheese. The employee stated they ran out of tomatoes. It was too late for me to blackout, there were cars behind and in front of me. I said It's ok... not realizing how sad and pathetic the burger would eventually come out. They looked plain and almost had no ingredients contained within the burgers. I started to think were they running out of ingredients altogether. Some random woman walked up to the drive thru window and nearly scared the employee half to death. She was there to pick up an order. I didn't even know you can do that... even more strange, is how did the app allow her to pickup at that time??? The shake was good... the burgers were really sad to look at. It was my first time trying the Habit at the Baldwin Park location and it was a horrible experience. Picking up the order took 20+ minutes even after I had received the order was ready for pickup text. My order was there on the table while the employees just looked at me through the window without any acknowledgment! When he finally came to the window I asked if the order wasn't ready yet and he said he was preparing the drinks?! Um sir, it takes you 20+ minutes to put Pepsi in a cup? I already knew my food was going to be cold and behold it was definitely cold!! The fries were SOGGYYYY!!! I HATE cold/soggy food!!! I already paid for it and waited a million years to receive it I didn't want to argue with them about a refund but when I saw they couldn't read SIMPLE instructions that stated NO LETTUCE NO TOMATO & guess what they put in my wrap‍..YUP!! I am a regular at the Habit, and although my GO TO is In-N-Out, the Habit has some tasty food. Aliza is always a friendly cashier and greets me with a smile and by name every time I come in. She knows my order (Santa Barbara Char with onion rings and extra ranch!) by heart. I went in this past week and she was the only one working in the front during lunch time. It was SUPER busy but she was still just as kind to me. I felt badly because a customer was being rude, but she killed them with kindness. I have seen this with other employees too. Maybe you guys need to hire some more people? BUT, the food is delish and the tables/chairs and common areas are always clean. I did report the bathroom being dirty and it was cleaned up right away. First time trying this Habit Burger location in Baldwin Park. I usually go to the one in West Covina or Rosemead as close alternatives. Good to know they've opened up close to my neighborhood. Place has really got some serious competition. Across the street there is a McDonald's, Raising Canes, Jack in the Box, and further down a Wendy's. It's like the fast food grouped here. Not to mention, In-& Out is just down the street. Came in the the evening for my usual, a Char Burger with Onion rings. Service was meh. Could be better. The workers were busy chatting amongst themselves. Next time I will order through the app or by machine to avoid having to get a worker's attention. The parking situation here is decent. If you want to grab and go without leaving your car, they do have a drive thru. There is seating inside and outside. Though the outside looks pretty dim. I'm not happy with tonight's service. My visit at The habit was at 22:14PM drive thru. I am not sure if it was because of the time and day or maybe the employee was not having the best day. I do understand that customers service can get overwhelming but I was not a rude customer at any time. From the moment I started my order the employee was a bit rude. He just did not sound very nice and helpful, it seemed like he was bothered. I kept it very calm. I go to the register and same thing. At the end the other employee female handed the food to me because he was no longer there. He stepped away. But I get home and had already spoke with my sister about the service to see if maybe it was just me. Unfortunately we agreed that it was not the best service. Food did not look good. It seemed like they reheated my sandwich and it was soaked in butter. The only thing that looked fresh was the lettuce. My sister's Burger did not look good, it looked burnt and she also did not eat. The only thing we enjoyed from there was the Onion Rings. We ended ordering at Pizza Hut because we tried calling the location and it was closed. I want my money back. Was craving a burger yesterday and ordered this for delivery through Postmates. I got the Santa Barbara char which tasted amazing with the sour dough bread and avocado, but it refused to stay together. I had to try and stagger the two patties so I could get meat with every bite instead of just bread near the ends, but the avocado made everything slide around and caused the burger to fall apart. I would definitely come back and get it again, but I think I'd rearrange it a little more carefully next time. read more

I've tried this place several times and each time my burger craving isn't completely satisfied for some reason. My go to is either the Santa Barbara or the double char. Both end up being really messy. The fries - are always soggy and greasy (that's probably why I'm not satisfied with the meal), The employees always place the napkins right on top of the fries, so we end up with no napkins (maybe they need to attend the University across the street to learn the basics). They need to change the recipe for the fries though - I think that's the weakest link in the meal. The staff in the drive thru is always nice and pretty quick. Prices are on par with your other fast food burger places. If the line at the other place is too long, this is definitely my next stop. read more

Alright, so I've been back to this place 3 times, since my first review which went well, but it's been down hill after that, of the last 3 visit, they got my order wrong twice, very frustrating to find your order messed up when you get home. Not sure what the problem is, you see ticket, make what's listed on the ticket, place item in bag & give bag to the correct customer. Not sure if it's carelessness or incompetence. Besides the orders being wrong, today's order costed almost $28, grill chicken sandwich was decent, but my Portobello burger was small, my fried green beans only had 6 green beans, my sons order of green bean had 7, we were hoping that there was some spilled green beans at the bottom of the bag, but unfortunately, no green beans in the bag, what we got is what we got! Also included in our order was a small drink. Not sure which is worse, over priced cost for underwhelming amount of food, or constantly getting your order wrong. Habit Burger is one of my favorite burger chains and this one doesn't disappoint. This is the newest location in Baldwin Park but it's also one of the smallest. They do have outdoor seating and indoor seating. The indoor seating isn't much though and it feels really cramp. If I can recall, this is also one of the few Habit Burger with a drive through as well. The food itself is good, no different from any other Habit Burger. Delicious and well done. French fries were tasty as well, only thing is that portion sizing for the french fries seems less than others. Other places are much more generous with the french fries. I placed my order on the app and my food was ready before I got there so no long wait there. It was a bit confusing where to pick up the food though, there's a shelf in the middle of the seating area, other habits is at the counter. read more

I usually order the grilled chicken sandwich on a ciabatta roll and sourdough bread. I usually like the latter instead of the former. I order it with grilled onions and portabello mushrooms. Generous serving of chicken and toppings. I have ordered the sweet potato fries but I cannot have them every time. The server takes my order and they give you a buzzer to let you know when they have your order ready. All there items are cooked to order so you'll have to be patient even in the drive through. Not much ambiance inside and there's outside sitting but to heaters. Oh, I almost forgot I've tried the Char Burger at another Habit location...pretty good! read more

I am seriously appalled at my interaction with one of the employees today during lunch. I placed a pick up order, specifically mentioned "add ranch." I get my order, open the bag and no ranch. I went up to the employee and asked for a ranch. Her quick response was "we charge for ranch" and I said "I requested add ranch on my order." In a very nasty manner she responded with, "I put it in the bag" (basically that she packed the bag and I was wrong) and I responded with "no you didn't." She responded with something along the lines of basically go look in the bag. Excuse me?!?! But what kind of customer service is that. The new shiny Habit in the area! We got to come by on a slow night and had a great experience! Love this quick service Burger/Sandwich spot with great sides & specialty drinks too! Evelyn, the Asst Manager, was so gracious when she took our order. She was very professional and friendly. This place is shiny clean! The restrooms are super clean and taken care of. Love the drive thru for quick service when you don't want to get out of the car. This is a first in the area that a Habit has drive through. The interior has a few tables, but the great seating is in the patio! Lots of tables and 2 order kiosks and they have a pass through window to the outside, you never have to go inside! They thought of everything! Original Charburger - traditional burger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo & cheese - delicious! Teriyaki Charburger - grilled pineapple & Teriyaki sauce on the traditional burger - my usual & still a fave! French fries - medium cut fresh fries - yum!
