We hadn't been by for a long time and we saw they brought back the $6 Gotta Habit meals. We went around 8:30 and they actually had people in line at the drive through! Amazingly since we got the wrong order, and no receipt. The girl taking our order was an airhead and we thought the guy at the window would make sure we got what we had ordered since he verified we wanted the shade salads. So when we got home and found there were green beans instead of side salads, I called only to find out they now close at 9pm. The Habit. You can almost never go wrong at the Habit. Well almost never go wrong was not the experience this time around. I'm not talking about forgetting to add or remove ingredients, which happens on occasion no matter where you go. It happens. This actually also happened to one of our other burgers at this location but that's not the highlight to this review. No... it was something much more perplexing, odd, unappetizing and interesting to say the least. I get about three quarters into my burger then low and behold... I see a label or sticker marked Monday between the double patties. It made me think... Should I have double checked what was offered on the list of ingredients? - Bacon - Avocado - Tomato - Labels/Stickers (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) All I would like to suggest is if you plan to visit this location, check your order carefully to make sure you don't have any surprise ingredient inside. Brand NEW location recently opened up with a Drive-Thru and all - Built from ground up started from last year or so, conveniently located in a pretty big open plaza with plenty of parking! It's nice to see this small town of Ceres slowly growing with more shops and new businesses coming in. If I am correct, this must be the first Habit Burger in Ceres. I have had Habit Burger twice already from the Bay Area a few years back. The service was good, but the food was okay, could be better to me. Seems everybody I know likes Habit Burger. Horrible experience today. When I arrived with my dad and brother the manager herself didn't even greet us but everyone else after us were welcomed in. She kept talking to the people in the drive thru and was very rude while taking our order. She literally took our order so forced idk if she was having a bad day or what but as a manager she should be the one setting the example. I'm sorry.... But the drive thru takes forever. Whether it be 5 cars or just one car. You are guaranteed to wait 15 mins + in drive thru. Like I don't understand... not even coming during prime time and they still don't have their shit together. I had one car ahead of me and then I was next. When I drove up for my turn. Not a big fast food eaten kinda guy,but we needed to feed a handful of people quickly. Saw "the Habit " on the way into town the day before. Rang them up and my food should be ready in 7 minutes, perfect. Arrived in 7 1/2, food was hot and everything was there, perfect again. Drove home, passed it out and it was quiet...perfect one more time. So we had four different kinds of burgers and four different sides all of which were good according to the noise level, no crying or complaining just silence for 30 minutes with no left overs. Please make this make sense....I just took my mother for lunch today, I ordered a double bacon char (dry) and a regular habit burger. Made them both into meals with fries and large drinks.. The bill came up to $32! BUT that's not even my complaint....When our food was ready, I go up to the counter and ask, "Can I please have a bbq sauce?" I get told, "that will be a charge of 65 cents." So I went in at 845 pm on a Sunday night. A little rush came in the drive through and the staff was making orders. I ordered a salad and sat down at the high top and watched them working. I saw the cook, who was wearing gloves, grab a raw piece of chicken and throw it on the grill. He then went and grabbed some buns and then grab a salad bowl and start making my salad. Using the same raw chicken gloved hand he reached into that salad bin and grabbed a hand full and started making my salad. I called an employee over and asked to talk to the manager. I told Aura what I saw and she was completly apologetic and said she will give me a refund. I even informed her he stuck his raw chicken gloved hand in the bag with the buns, utensils, raw produce they put on burgers and salads. Pretty good quality food but poor customer service I've been to this location multiple times since it's been open and one of the persistent issues I've found is the workers are just rude. I'm not trying to be a Karen by magnifying the situation but I've noticed this issue. I ordered #2 combo yesterday afternoon and the lady was short with me when ordering and when I got to the window she just had an attitude like it was my fault I wanted to order food from this establishment. I've got this attitude from multiple workers here but this seems to be a consistent trend. I always try and be as nice to the workers as possible because I know how stressful a fastfood job could be. I don't wanna specify who the worker was that helped me because I don't want someone to lose there job but I feel uncomfortable ordering from this location sometimes when I don't wanna deal with the negative attitudes so I will avoid it usually. read more
