This is my first and last time coming to this Sourdough & Co location. I ordered two Chicken sandwiches and they gave us two sandwiches of the complete opposite. One that was turkey and the other that was salami with pepperoni. The guy even said that it was our two chicken sandwiches, seems like they don't even know what sandwiches they're handing out to people at this location and need to communicate more with each other. I paid $45 for something that wasn't even mine. So after calling back, mentioned by the business manager, the manager of the location wasn't being helpful whatsoever. Instead of offering my money back for the food I didn't receive and in which he admitted over the phone they gave my food to someone else. They offered me either a small discount for when I come in next time or for them to make my sandwich but at this point I don't even trust the location with their customer service. I've been coming here for a while and usually really enjoy it. I stopped by recently and I noticed something that made me uncomfortable. One of the workers had a beard and wasn't wearing a beard cover while handling food. It might not seem like a big deal, but stuff like that can lead to hair getting in the food, and it just doesn't feel very clean. I'm a deli sandwich lover. I grew up on delicious sandwiches in the bay area, so I have a hard time finding good ones that curb my cravings in this area. This place is delicious! The bread is perfectly soft and chewy, the sizes are perfect and they have other options like soups and salads. I usually go for the turkey and salami and add bacon and avocado. These are upcharges, along with items such as pickles and olives, which I find a little odd. The only items with no upcharge are lettuce, tomatoes and onions. This could easily be a $15-16 sandwich for me, if I choose large size. The house sauce adds a nice flavor. The only reason I knocked one star off, is because once I ordered the turkey pesto, sandwich wrapper stated pesto and there was no pesto on it. Not sure how that works...but it was just mayo. I've tried both the side salad and the poblano soup. Both were delicious and the soup had a nice light heat to it. I'll definitely continue to try items here. read more

Brand new sandwich shop in Turlock. We tried the clam chowder with bread bowl. It was very tasty and the sourdough bread bowl was fresh and good. We also got a sandwich and chips . The sandwich was okay. I think next time I will go for a turkey sandwhich. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more items. First of all, it took forever to be ready, the girl who was mixing the salad items together was s slow and talking to her coworker. So this was my first time trying this place. I went with the chowder bowl. The food came out decently fast. It was time to eat. Luckily I didn't take my bread bowl home which was five blocks away. If I did, my bread bowl would have been cold. I ate across the parking lot and my soup was barely warm. Luckily this place has excellent customer Service. I've been meaning to try this place for a while, and today was the day. After looking over the menu twice I decided on a 6 inch pastrami sandwich. My sandwich arrived wrapped and cut in half, with the halves displayed at different angles for maximum aesthetics. The sourdough was very good. It was warm, crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. You can taste the sour, but it's not as sour as Boudin's San Francisco sourdough. I like my sourdough extra sour, even Boudin isn't sour enough for me. The pastrami was just okay, it was a little disappointing compared to how good the bread was. I have been a customer for over 10 years and I can honestly say the quality has definitely went down. I remember the old employees were nice and friendly, the food used to be delicious and fresh and so on.The new employees are rude and one couldn't even take my order due to language restrictions..at a SANDWICH SHOP. Definitely going to be my new favorite spot for clam chowder and a quick meal ! My order took about 10 mins , they whipped out two clam chowders , a French dip , smoked brisket , two cookies . The staff were super nice and the bathrooms are clean, this was probably the best clam chowder I've tried here in Turlock. I had no issues with their timing like in other reviews . I do understand that during a rush there may be delays but that happens in a lot of restaurants with huge lunch rushes , my advise is to come around 10am because as I'm still sitting here , it's about to be 11am and there's already a lot of people here , they also have online orders as well so before 10am would be perfect for a quick bite . I just recently tried a sourdough & co in Lodi and it was excellent but I live here in Turlock so ordered from my local store and it was terrible the bread was so hard I'm surprised it didn't rip my teeth out the topping s were ok so I had to put it on my on bread at home just to make it editable and would not go to the waste after reading all the previous ratings on here it seems like tread so you better of not ordering from here at best you will get customer service apologizing and offering nothing read more

After hearing so many wonderful reviews about Sourdough & Co, I was very excited to give it a try. I ordered 3 sandwiches for delivery. Delivery was prompt and courteous so no issues there. Our sandwiches were not very large but in all fairness to the company, they do disclose the length of the sandwich in the menu. I really enjoyed the sourdough roll. It tasted very fresh and was not at all dry. The turkey tasted like deli sliced turkey, not at all processed, which is a huge plus. The problem was that the sandwiches had so much mayo on them that it was practically pouring out of the sandwich. I like mayo, but not to the point where there is more mayo than meat and veggies. I am very glad that I did not order any additional sauces or condiments! My colleagues also had mayo overload. I will give Sourdough & Co another try, but I definitely will not add any mayo or additional sauces for fear of ending up with a soggy sammie. read more
