We not be returning. We recently moved here and have tried this habit twice. The first time the food was undercooked and they gave us a hard time asking for a side of ranch (It's fine if I have to pay for it, but you do not have to be rude). We got an email survey and the company gave us a $7 coupon to give it an other try. Today, was our second time. The food was better, but the wait for over 20 minutes for chicken tenders and a burger. The tenders and fries were cold from waiting for the burger. The cashier was a nice young man, but he was too busy with no help. The straws, ketchup, and napkins were all empty. I paid $0.60 for ranch just for it to be half full. read more

Casual dining/fast food sandwiches and salads. CA chain with fresh food. More fast food than casual dining but the food is only made when ordered. The only issue is asking for a tip. Really? What is expected to be done extra? Plus you tip before served? The did lose one star for cold fries but we can't take away the tip. read more

Clean, new location, orders can be made from large self ordering screens. First time eating at this chain, not bad at all. Cooked to order, juicy burgers, fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The staff even comes around and takes your food tray for you when you are done. Nice classy touch. read more

Burger rank right up there with Five Guys in freshness and fixins available! The sides are amazing especially if tired of the same old do you want fries with that. Best if all though the staff is sincerely nice. Sounds corny buy they act sincerely happy to see you and serve you. Its not their please...it is genuine. Love Habit so much. read more

been twice. First time was great. Second time terrible. Older customer brought his burger back and complained because it wasn't what he wanted I watch the girl wrap that burger back up. I said something about it being unsanitary and straight out disgusting to serve that burger again. She brushed me off. I get home to find that they served me that burger after I specifically said something to them about it. Absolutely disgusting and should be ashamed of herself. Clearly should not be working in food at all. they were respectful but at the end of the day that's disgusting and I just waisted $20 on a burger I did not eat. I wouldn't even feed that to my dog you don't know what people have or whether or not they wash their hands. It's nasty to serve a burger that has clearly already been handled by someone else. I'd rather the whole town of southern pines doesn't touch my food. Thanks. read more

Our family loves coming here! the food is great, I love the Santa Fe burger and that they have malt vinegar for their awesome fries. Strawberry lemonade or ice tea and all the condiment!! staff is always friendly and I enjoy the outdoor seating. So glad we got one of these near us now read more

I've just found this hidden gem in the last week and I've already ate there twice. Their double char burger is delicious and they have amazing fresh onion rings that seem to be home made. I was very pleased with my food and my service. The restaurant was also very neat and clean. read more

Don't understand the hype. Service was slow. Prices were high. Food was awful. The hamburger was a total mess and way too salty. Fries tasted like they were from yesterday. $50 for 3 people. read more

Average Burger,fries and onion rings. Pretty good flavor and seasoning but difficult to distinguish from other fast food. The place is new so the following could all be growing pains... 14 minutes from order to receiving food...for lukewarm food. One flavor of soda was out, Diet Pepsi flat. Ketchup dispenser did not work...had a label saying "be gentle". !??! Staff was working hard on a checklist/inventory with a clip board. Tonight my husband and I went in to try Habit Burger for the first time ever. Yes you ordered in the kiosk when you walked in, but there is also an option to order at the front with an employee if you choose to do so. Every employee was delightful and kind to speak with. The "boss man", as they call him walked in and they kept doing what they were doing. They didn't put on a show for him, they kept providing the amazing service they had given from the beginning. And when he left, they kept it up. The place was spotless, the burger was delicious and the strawberry limeade was to die for! We will definitely be back! The service was good. The food was mediocre at best. The burger patties were thin, overcooked and tasteless. You can get better food at McDonald's. Skip this one for sure. I won't be back. Poor choice Southern Pines. read more

I went to Habit Burger for the 1st time today. It was noon, so the place was crowded and very noisy. I had to use a self order kiosk. It took awhile to get my order and then it was in a Styrofoam bowl and and plastic utensils.The salad was not really chopped so I struggled with the plastic knife. By now I am mad at myself for spending $15 on this. Then I tasted it. The best Cobb Salad I have ever had. Just wonderful! If you can, get takeout so you can replate your food as it deserves. read more

Had lunch 7/16/25 got the grill chicken sandwich it was in pieces. Claimed to remake it gave me the same pieces burnt as well. Got the 50/50 fries and onion rings got 4 onion rings. Will not go back. Service was better when it first opened. read more

I've eaten here a few times now for lunch and I never had a bad experience and I think the burger and fries are awesome. Sure it's a little more pricey but you're getting a good sandwich with legitimate ingredients; it is not much more expensive than McDonalds these days, it's cheaper than Five Guy's, and Habit is 10 times better than both. I look forward to eating here regularly. read more

Frankly overpriced average package burger. Nothing going on for it. Fries were good BUt way over salted. My 1 year old would be able to eat a whole burger so that's the "size". Overall a waste of time and money. read more

Service ... what service? Forced to order thru a kiosk so you can't ask for what you don't want. 7 workers behind the counter but not one table in the place was clean. Manager playing on his phone. Ordered teriyaki burger & fries and ahi burger. Teriyaki burger was ok , a little overpowered by the pineapple. Fries were just about tasteless (no salt or seasoning). First time eating at habit burger - Burgers were tough and lacking flavor. Not overly impressed.

I have been to this place 3 times and 2 times they messed my order up. Refund/replacement is not an option to them as after a week they have yet to reply back to me. If not in store you might as well forget about them doing right by the paying customer. Called and was told once customer care opened the next day, they would give a call back but that call never came. Sorry but a sandwich that cost $10 or more should be replaced if your cooks just added something that by menu doesn't even come on the sandwich you ordered. read more

The food was very good was served quickly, though you pick it up at the window. Service was typical of a fast food restaurant. The interior was nicely decorated. However, due to the building design, the noise level was high making conversation difficult. read more

Great service- horrible burgers. We went here for the first time today and order a #1 (the drive-through menu says it is $11.09 yet it wrong up inside as $11.99) ...also ordered 2 chicken kids meals. My burger was un-eatable. COVERED in what tasted and looked like black pepper. Seriously one of the grossest burgers I have ever had. Both of my kids chicken bites were covered in black pepper as well and they both said they were spicy and refused to eat them. A little upset that I wasted $30 and we all three of us walked out was still hungry. The girl wiping down tables was extremely nice though, and asked if we liked our food to which I told her the honest truth that it was all disgusting... She came back and said, unfortunately, they were unable to remake our food for us because they were busy which I thought was horrible service on the management part. Definitely will be calling corporate on this one as I gave them the opportunity to make it right and they refused to. Again, the girl was extremely nice though and so was the girl that took our order, but the food was terrible. We definitely will not be returning. read more
