I came to Joybird to sit on couches and see which was comfiest for me and settled on the U shaped Bryant in a custom color. Kimberly helped me out and was a great advisor for the process and I understood that choosing a custom color was different than a floor color. It took a couple months for my couch to come but delivery was seamless and my couch is sooo comfy 7 months later with lots of everyday use and pets. The couches are a little spendy but waiting for a sale (I waited until Black Friday) makes it worth it in my opinion. read more

Our experience with Joybird was deeply disappointing--because of how the company operates once they have your money. Joybird is optimized to get you to buy--and then leave you stranded. Even if the color is wrong. Even if the product can't physically be delivered. Even if the mistake isn't yours. We purchased two couches from this Joybird store. At no point during the sales process were we told that the orders were non-returnable. When the couches arrived, one of them did not match the fabric swatch we were shown in the store. The other one never even made it into our home--the delivery team could not get it up the stairs. When we reached out to Joybird, they refused to accept a return, refused a refund, and refused to take responsibility--on either couch. Instead, they pointed us to fine print on their website about their company policies. It would be one thing if: - The sales associate had clearly explained that all orders were final. - We were pointed to explicit fine print before purchasing. - The product delivered actually matched what we were shown. But none of that happened. There are many other furniture companies that treat customers far better and stand behind what they sell. I strongly recommend choosing one of them instead. read more

The staff is a mixed bag -on one of my visits no one cared to even say hi much less help but on another visit they went over and beyond suggesting pieces and customization . After visiting the Joybird showroom and carefully selecting our items, we were initially excited about our purchase. However, our experience quickly turned sour due to a series of unfortunate events. Firstly, the delivery estimate was grossly inaccurate. Promised for mid-December, our furniture did not arrive until late January, significantly later than expected. Upon arrival, our excitement turned to disappointment as we discovered that nearly all the pieces were damaged and the colors were noticeably different from what we had seen both in the showroom and online. Attempting to address these issues, we found Joybird's customer service to be nearly unreachable. When we finally managed to speak with someone, we were told that damage during delivery is something they cannot guarantee against, and we were offered only a partial refund. This response was both shocking and unacceptable. To add to our frustration, we are still waiting for the nesting tables we ordered to be delivered in good condition. It became apparent that Joybird does not manufacture their own furniture but rather sells marked-up products. This was evident from the shipping label on the last coffee table delivery attempt, which revealed a different company's name. An attempt to rectify the situation with a repair service only led to further damage, not just to the furniture but also to our home and a valuable piece of electronics. The repair technician, sent by Joybird, managed to damage our Sonos subwoofer in addition to leaving one of the sofas unfixed. Attempts to resolve these new issues have led me on a wild goose chase between Joybird, FNS (the repair company), and Green Apple, each directing me back to the other without offering a solution. This entire ordeal has been nothing short of frustrating. It's clear that Joybird's business practices and customer service fall significantly short of acceptable standards. My advice to potential customers: avoid Joybird at all costs. Learn from our experience and save yourself the trouble. Update: Joybird giving me runaround to reach out to their vendor and their vendor telling me to reach out to joybird. 2nd replacement (3rd shipment) arrived damaged again, but below the table. We recently visited the Joybird showroom and had a great experience with Elena. She really helped us narrow down the twin sleeper sofas to a size that was appropriate for our space. She also helped us navigate fabric selection. It was super easy to purchase. We bought Brooks Twin Sleeper. It is really cute and looks great in my office. It arrived on time and the movers did a great job setting it up. Some minor issues is that the cushion is a little saggy and that the fabric is wrinkling on the cushion and I'm not sure what is causing it just yet. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM JOYBIRD Joybird has spent the last few weeks gaslighting me. The local Joybird store was such a lovely experience, but the experience after that has been a total nightmare. I bought a couch I was excited about in store and they said it would be ready in 8-12 weeks and we could schedule delivery. We got the delivery scheduling email and were told to reach out to a company they contract with for final mile services, JB Hunt. I called and spoke with them, and they said the first available window for delivery was 10 days in the future. We're in the middle of making an offer on a house and asked if we could schedule next week instead, since it was already a wait for the delivery and we might be in a different house a week after that. They said no problem! I asked if there would be fees, they said no. A week later we get an automated email from Joybird that we still need to schedule our delivery with JB Hunt. We reply that we've already contacted them and it's all good. Joybird then replies that there's a 10-day window after your order is complete before you start incurring fees. So even if we scheduled immediately, we would have incurred fees just based on JB Hunt's delivery availability. This doesn't make any sense and we were told there wouldn't be any fees by JB Hunt, so I email them back but their reply is a vague "if you don't schedule your delivery, your order is at risk of being cancelled." This is so strange, so I immediately call back JB Hunt and schedule a delivery for the following week. Joybird follows up with more emails threatening to cancel our order if we don't schedule delivery. We tell them multiple times it's scheduled. The fees and deadlines are different in every email, and we keep getting replies from different people acting like we've never communicated with them before. In the end, they admit that we got bad information from JB Hunt about storage fees and offer us a $125 gift card for our trouble. But they also charge us $123 in storage fees and will not allow the credit to cancel these fees out. When I ask how the fees were calculated and how we could have avoided them (because it seems impossible), THEY LITERALLY TELL ME TO REFUSE MY COUCH WHEN IT ARRIVES. I call them to try to get some sort of resolution to this, because there's no way this is how they do business, right? I keep trying to solve the issue with them or get definitive information, and they keep escalating to cancelling the order, charging a restocking fee, and charging us for storage. I reach the management tier then the final escalation customer service tier, which was the worst customer experience interaction I've ever had. She interrupted me, yelled, and stood by the fact that they did nothing wrong and we were in the wrong completely and should refuse the order when it arrives. After my experience with this absolutely dumpster fire of a company, the only conclusion I can reasonably reach is that they want to cancel orders, keep 50% of the cost as a "restocking fee," and then sell the furniture back at full price or close to it. read more

We have been shopping for a new sofa for several weeks and were so glad Joybird had a showroom in Portland! We felt we really had to sit on one before we purchased and it turned out to be not only necessary but fun! we went to what's new furniture, macys, room and board, and didn't like the feel of many sofas once we actually sat on them, even ones we liked online. At Joybird we liked so many it was hard to narrow it down! and you can select which color/ fabric you want so that made the options endless. I went in once with my aunt and had to bring my partner and our dog back the next day, we had so much fun trying out the sofas. they even let our dog test them out which was helpful to know which fabric was best for his shedding. The customer service is amazing. Patrick Schneider was helping us pick out fabric, answering all our questions, and put our order in the for us, he was so friendly and helpful! We have his contact info to help us with the whole process and don't have to go through the customer service line since we ordered in the showroom. I highly recommend checking it out if you are sofa shopping, they have the most comfortable and modern selection at a good price. We can't wait to receive our sofa. The company is lying and trying to siphon money from customers for phantom fees. For starters, I've been getting Joybird ads for years but I just couldn't purchase a couch I'd never sat in before so I was thrilled when they opened the store downtown. The whole space is beautiful and comfortable. The whole staff was amazing and kind, really welcoming! We worked with Patrick and he was awesome, he listened to what I was looking for and helped us find the right solution for our current space and help us find a piece of furniture to fit into future spaces. I'm someone who gets really wigged out and stressed in high-pressure buy now situations and this was nothing like that, the whole experience was relaxed, no-pressure, comfortable.
