Despite being one of the few patrons in the restaurant, my order took quite some time to come out. Drinks were made instantly, but I finished two before my entree arrived. The bathroom was strangely the only sticky element of the establishment. *Ribeye: huge 18 ounce ribeye served with sweet potato fries and creamed corn. Although I asked for medium rare, the edges leaned closer to medium well. That said, the steak was thoroughly seasoned and tender throughout. The sweet potato fries were heavily seasoned with sea salt, though the potatoes themselves were sweet enough to balance it out. The creamed corn was the most pungent and watery component. I wished the sauce had been thickened more, as it pooled underneath the steak and softened the bottom crust. Overall, this dish was hefty and a steal for the price. *Frost Bite: one of the seasonal mixed drinks. The Malibu and pineapple juice gave this a pina colada style profile. The blue curacao added a striking snowy appearance, though the drink itself leaned quite sweet. *Jingle Juice: another seasonal option, though this one packed a stronger alcohol punch. The tequila was more prominent, while the peach schnapps helped soften the edge. However, the cranberry and orange juices were barely noticeable, so it did not quite deliver the spiked fruit punch profile I was expecting. I loved the generous portions and strong flavors. While the execution was not perfect, the large sizes and heavy pours still made this a jolly experience.

After looking up this restaurant on Google, I was so enamored by their unique menu, especially their Weeds & Seeds Salad that I was dying to dine at this Farm to Table Restaurant. Thankfully, my sweet coworkers made my wish come true! We were a large group of 8 and shared the: 1) Local Cheese Plate (Changes daily, we had Aged Cheddar, Starlight, St. Malachi, and the Black & Blue; $14) 2) Beets W/ Goat Cheese and Dill ($7) The starters we ordered were all so delicious! Of the cheeses, my favorite was the St. Malachi. I've never tried this one before and it was so flavorful, a bit tender and nutty. You have to try this if you haven't yet! For myself, of course I had to order the Weeds & Seeds Salad (Wild Salad Mix, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Bee Pollen, Edible Blossoms, Honey Mustard Vinaigrette; $8). This salad was a dream, to say the least! Not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted amazing! It was unlike any salad I have ever tried before. I loved the light Honey Mustard Vinaigrette and the touch of Bee Pollen. For my main dish, I ordered the Rainbow Trout (Trout Filets Dusted with Sumac and Pan Seared Topped with Vanilla Buerre Blanc and Red Raspberry Gastrique; $25) W/ Hot Greens and Cold Veggie as my two accompaniments. The trout was so delectable and unique. I loved the taste of the vanilla with the raspberry together, such complementary flavors! The Hot Greens and Cold Veggie were also really delicious. For dessert I tried their Shiso-Basil Creme Brulee ($6). Can I just say, what a marvelous combo? I am obsessed with Shiso leaves, but have only had them with sashimi. Never have I seen it used in a dessert. This Creme Brulee just tasted so perfect that I wanted to order another one, but didn't want my coworkers to judge me haha. The chef here is just so talented and the customer service was outstanding. The interior of the restaurant is so charming, a bit rustic and minimalistic and I loved the touch of fresh flavors at every table. Could not praise nor express my love for this restaurant more. Thank you for such a lovely and unique experience The Blind Pig! I hope to dine here again one day!

The store isn't very big but they have a lot of stuff. I found what I thought I needed and asked the lady working if I could make kimchi with it and she said no, then walked me around to get the items I DID need and I really appreciated it! My kimchi turned out tasty, but who knows how authentic it actually is haha. One cool thing is they serve fresh kimbap on thursdays (I think), and I hear it's usually very limited quantities but I've had it before and can vouch that it's delicious! They sell their own made in-house kimchi too which looked good. They have Korean specific ingredients but also some other things that are more generally used in Asian cuisine. They're a little pricy but worth it if you need something quick! They still recommend masking (something I think it's maybe time for us to move on from...) but they don't require it, just know if you go in unmasked you may get some unpleasant looks. It is what it is.
