So bad. Probably the worst "Indian food" I've ever had. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, rice and Naan. The Tikka Masala base tasted exactly like Campbell's tomato soup with cream. It was terrible. I got about 5 small cubes of chicken. The Naan was like hard, crusty, microwaved bread. Exactly the opposite of what Naan actually is. It was beyond bad. The only redeeming quality of this place was the guy behind the counter. It's $25 I will never get back. People who say this is authentic food lhave never had authentic Middle Eastern or Indian food. read more

The food here is Authentic and delicious. A hidden gem in Williamsport, you can either eat in or take to go. The grandkids love it because there is an "American menu" since they are unfamiliar with the cuisine. You can make it as spicy as you want (or not), and since I love my spice this is important. I came over for lunch on a Saturday when I was nearby for some other activities. There were many people in the dining room, besides me and another couple. I also saw people coming in for pickup. I was told I needed to wait for about 20 minutes because they're making a fresh batch of rice or something. It's been a while so I don't remember but I didn't feel like I was waiting for a very long time before my tandoor chicken arrived. It was cooked thoroughly and tender. I ate with the dipping sauce and rice. I asked for a box to bring the leftover home. The bathroom is located in the hallway adjacent to the restaurant. Street parking only I think. Ordered takeout on a Saturday night at 5. It was ready when I arrived at the pickup time. The dishes were all very good- I will say the mild was still a bit spicy. But very good. The vegetable samosa was great- so was my main dish the paneer makhani. And the cucumber sauce was perfect with the spice of the dishes. The restaurant is large and clean. Delicious food that all appeared very fresh. I had the chicken tikka masala which was delicious. Portion size was fine, I felt that even if they give a small bowl of the masala they give a lot of rice so together it is a great meal. I think it is on the pricier side though, with it costing my wife and I about $50+ for takeout. Also not sure if the menu is larger if you don't use the app. When I got there there was a menu that included Lassi drinks that I could not find in the app. read more

We were seated quickly and the food was very good. They don't have a kids menu, but the keema naan and chicken tikka masala was good and my 5-year old liked it. The server/host was friendly and quick, and the price was reasonable. The saag paneer was also delicious with a great medium spice level. Would definitely come back if we're in the area again. The chicken curry had a nice ginger flavour, the biryani was delicious with an OD (which we lived) of cilantro over it, the pakoras are an interesting mix of French fries and spinach none the less delicious, the masala chai was the bestest of all for me!! The place inside is super lacking. They just took an empty building and threw some tables in it. No decor of any kind. No music. The bathrooms are out of the restaurant in a separate building...and they were locked. We were seated and handed the print out to go menus to use as our menu, instead of separate menus. We love Indian, so our standards are high. This did not meet them at all. The Chana Masala was wrong. It was brown instead of the traditional red and did not taste good. The Pakora was good, however it was just onions. Normally Pakora is a mixture of numerous vegetables. The Samosas looked promising, however they were just super oily potato sacks. I couldn't understand how they could look like they had so much seasoning but just tasted like potatoes. The chicken tikka masala looked right, but was a muted version of what it should have tasted like. The mango lassi was a cup of airy yogurt. It was not like a traditional mango lassi which is a thicker drink that tastes more like mango. We requested tamarind to hide the flavor of the samosas and pakora and the waitress didn't know what that was. But one of the guys in the back came out and asked us what we wanted and we received some...in styrofoam bowls. In addition, the young girl who was our server was making the mango lassi and a guy hollered our "food's done." She was occupied at that very moment, so then he decided it was a good idea to ding the bell over and over until she came to get the food from him. Super unprofessional. read more

We've gotten takeout from here three times, and it's been very good each time. The Vegetable Pakoras (appetizer) are consistently excellent, very flavorful and not overly doughy, dry, or oily. Nice job. The Vegetable Samosas and Chana Chat, which is somewhat like a bean salad, are also very good appetizers, but the Pakoras win in my book. Nice portions of rice with all entrees, and good portions overall. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because our entrees weren't as great the last time, which was a couple months ago now. We got the Chana Masala (chickpeas in spiced tomato-based sauce), Saag Paneer (spinach with homemade cheese cubes), and Aloo Mutter (peas and potatoes in curry sauce). There was less depth to the flavor of each dish, and the ingredients seemed a little lower quality than prior orders. We hadn't had the Chana Masala or Saag Paneer here before, so maybe we just aren't used to how they make them, compared to elsewhere. Or it could've been a busy/off night? The employees are very nice, especially the man who is usually working the front. He wears a mask as well. The first time we went, he included a free order of naan. So nice! As others have said, the inside of the restaurant isn't anything fancy. It would be nice if they improved it a bit by the time indoor dining is fully back, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. The bathroom is not in another building. It is in a hallway in the same building, between the restaurant and the business next door. Likely locked because someone was using it at the time. Ordered take out for the first time. The food was hot and well packaged. The two dishes, chicken biryani and Chana masala ( chickpeas Cooked with herbs and spices ) tasted very similar! Which is unusual, they are two very different dishes. 60 percent of the sauce was oil , saturating the entire dish. Likely a very unhealthy cheap oil. The Chana Masala had wilted onions and green peppers, while the menu makes no mention of these two ingredients. It they would reduce the amount of oil and focus on quality of the dish it would be a much more refined approach. The chicken was of interest and perhaps Nucleated to defrost, before adding to the sauce. The whole wheat bread was good. The yogurt sauce ( Reita) was definitely not homemade and had a weird artificial consistency. Overall, not impressive, but at least williamsport has an Indian option on the table. You can always improve the quality of food as you develop more customers. Willing to give it another shot! read more
