Great for large parties and you order on the kiosks located at each table, Pho 11's menu is large with a variety of Vietnamese apps and entrees to choose from. The summer rolls were rolled fresh and the rice paper on them was super chewy with amazing quality shrimp. The pho was phonomenal (pun intended). I wasn't expecting much but the toppings were all super authentic (all the best pho dac biet toppings) and I ordered extra tendon with mine. The broth was super light and fragrant and instead of giving you a full toppings plate, they ask which toppings you'd like which I prefer better anyways because I always feel bad not using the jalapeños it usually comes with. Ordered 2 pho with beef today. Got home and opened it a few hours later and 1 had no beef at all. None. Nada. Not driving into State College from 10 miles away to complain. I love Pho so I was so happy to find this restaurant near the hotel where I had training. The parking lot was empty when we got there close to noon on a Friday. There did seem to be a steady flow of take out orders though. You place your order from a kiosk...easy and self explanatory. I've been here countless times and now I'm finally getting around to writing a review. I had pho for the first time here at Pho 11 and since then, pho has become one of my favorite foods. I am vegan and I really enjoy the tofu pho with vegetable broth. It is so good every time and I really enjoy adding jalapeños to give the broth an extra kick. Glad I read the Yelp! reviews beforehand so I can have proper expectations. Ordered at the kiosk and sat down. No hello or greeting of any kind. Ordered the fried spring rolls and duck pho, adding tendon. The server dropped off the order and left without saying a word. Stay away from the fried rolls. Trader Joe's makes better rolls. I wondered if it was Sysco... that bad. The pho was pretty good. Refreshing soup without heavy msg. The portions for the sprouts were skimpy. If you want cilantro, ask for it. I will be back, bc there is no other game in town for pho. Price is a little high for the portions. The server never stopped by after dropping off the order, even when she passed my table while dropping off another table's order. I think even $2 is too much tip for the circumstances. There isn't much else here in State College to compare this Vietnamese food to, but if you're really hungry and looking for something other than pizza or sandwiches, Pho 11 is a decent place to try. The menu and portions are large, so you really get what you pay for. They currently don't do dine-in, which is not ideal, especially since the majority of restaurants downtown are open at full-capacity. Having traveled to Vietnam, I was a bit hesitant to try the pho, but I was pretty satisfied. It came deconstructed, with basil, lime, bean sprouts, and sauce, which was great because I could make it the way I wanted. Reasons why I took two stars off: 1. They don't have cilantro. What kind of Vietnamese restaurant has no cilantro???? 2. The meats they use in their pho aren't the freshest. 3. The noodles come out dry and all stuck together, so you know it was precooked and has been sitting out for a while. 4. The check comes with suggested tip amounts printed at the bottom for you to circle. If you don't circle an amount, the server actually comes back and asks you to circle an amount, forcing you to tip at least the lowest amount of 15%. I usually tip 15-20% at restaurants, but it's very off-putting that they make you pay tip. 5. Dishes are overpriced for what you get. read more

Bug in our food... told the waitress in privacy out of curtsey, since my girlfriend and I enjoy the place so much... the waitress went into self defense mode and immediately said it's not her fault and she had nothing to do with the food prep, that she just brought the food to the table.
