A group of 9 of us stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We had a reservation, and once seated, we got in our food and drink orders. It took about 3-4 minutes for the drinks to come out, and the food followed shortly thereafter. It may have been the fastest I've ever had food come out...especially for that many people. It wasn't a fluke, as the table next to us filled up after we got our food, and that group of 14 got their food about as quickly as we did. Service was very good and the food was also solid. I got a Chicken Philly, and others at our table got hamburgers, the (last) meatball special of the day, gizzards, walleye dinner, and a variety of other sandwiches. Fries, hashbrowns, and veggies were some of the sides we got, and they were all good (the hashbrowns looked amazing). Workers were very disrespectful, and I'm very dissatisfied. The mood was a thumbs down. Awful. As soon as me and my family walked in we got dirty looks and a worker told us to move out of the way. We had just walked in and we felt hurt by this behavior. The food was cold and I do not recommend at all! Boo. Overall the mood was very bad. When we walked in we didn't know if we were suppose to wait to be seated or seat ourselves so we stood there for a few minutes until one of the patrons told us we could seat ourselves. The menu looked great and prices were reasonable. DO NOT RECOMMEND. NEVER COMING BACK. We arrived at 6:15pm and were forgotten about. Finally seated at 7:20, with no menus. After asking for menus, it took another 45 mins before we placed our order. Another 45 mins before our food came out, and it was COLD. Waitress continued to sit at bar and chat. I walked up to her and told her our food is all cold. Thankfully she replaced it all but never refilled our drinks after being asked numerous times. She came to our table only twice (to take out order and to replace our food). We didn't even order anything extravagant: Burger and fries, chicken strips, Mac n cheese. Our replacement food was BURNT. Black charred burger, and burnt fries. Had to ask 3 times for a side of coleslaw my mom ordered. Not only that but the second I take my last bite, the young hostess girl grabs my food out from under me. Been there a few times. My experience: Baked potatoes are always cold. The "lettuce" on my cheeseburger was the salad lettuce mix. I literally had carrots in my burger. I really don't know why we keep trying to give it a chance. read more

Went there on a Friday night with a line out the door the staff was overwhelmed but friendly beer was ice cold and so was my cup of chili. Headed out to Burlington a few days ago to check it out, and I'd say I don't have a strong desire to return. I ordered a rare ribeye steak and a Long Island Iced Tea. My steak was cooked, by looks, correctly, but it was pretty tough. It was also EXTREMELY bland. I detest The very thought of using steak sauce, but it was unavoidable. My Long Island was reminiscent of the sort of high-test concoction an inexperienced first-time-underage-drinker would whip up after breaking in to their parents' liquor cabinet. Strong enough to stun a buffalo, it was seriously the grossest alcoholic drink I've ever had the displeasure of forcing down my gullet. I'm not big into rustic, rural cuisine because they usually cater to a local crowd that puts up with shoddy food and subpar service, but this hits a new low in "restaurant" standards. Some may feel I'm being too harsh, but chances are if this is your type of place, you're not putting much stock in Yelp reviews in the first place. read more

We were in the area mainly to tour the Pointe of View Winery in Burlington. Deciding we needed some fortification before sampling wine and other alcohol related products we came to the Hacienda Steakhouse. This is a long time establishment in Burlington. It's very informal, and a lot of people go here to have a reasonably priced steak in the evening. We were here at lunchtime, so I had a cheeseburger and my husband chose a fried clam basket. Both entrees were good. My burger was cooked nicely and was just the right amount of meat----usually burgers are too big for the bun and difficult to eat. My husband enjoyed the clams. Went this past weekend with the family. New to the area and this was the first visit as it was a referral. Walked in the door and was ignored by all staff. Unsure where we could/couldn't sit and such. Approached someone sitting at a table that looked like a possible hostess both and was told there was no room. Then a waitress actually came and guided us to seats in the rear of the restaurant. The good. Kids ordered shrimp baskets and they were actually well portioned and decently priced. Crab legs generously portioned and respectfully meaty. The rest. Prime rib had zero flavor/seasoning. The horseradish did little to help this. It was also COLD. Not lukewarm but COLD. This is one of Minot's hidden gems. The food is uniformly good. Prices are incredibly reasonable. Service is good and prompt. The fried chicken basket, prime rib, rib eye (cut to order), and the sirloin with scampi shrimp are all incredible. The appetizers are good and the gizzards are as good as any restaurant in the deep south. The tenderloin tips are amazing. My friends have had the hamburger, crab legs, shrimp burger and other dishes. They must have been great as no one is offering to share! There is full bar service available. Amazing food without a wallet shock. Only down side is they are closed on Sundays. It's a dive you must not miss. The restaurant itself could use some updating, but who cares when the food is incredible! You will leave satisfied and happy. read more

Yeah! I came here with friends and I liked it very much. Lot's of locals and it seemed like tons of people knew each other in a small town way. Well, hey this is a small town so go figure. Anyway, steaks and porks chops are super good and the prime rib was awesome. Busy and with a good vibe, I will definitely be back. We tried the Hacienda for the first time this evening. My wife had the chicken fried steak with mushroom gravy, she said it was the best she's ever had. My T-bone was overdone and our waitress immediately took it back and brought me a medium cooked steak, like I ordered. Our waitress was SO good and attentive, we will definitely go back. I was pleasantly surprised by Hacienda - I had one a gift certificate for $25 and decided to go after a round of golf at Wildwood. I ordered a chicken salad and my partner got the prime rib. The salad was large and super yummy - hit the spot for me. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and came with a baked potato, dinner roll, and side salad. We each had two beers. (full bar). I saw plate after plate of fried chicken and chicken fried steak coming out that looked absolutely delicious - the fried chicken made my mouth water. I will be trying that next time we are in - probably after a round of golf. I think we ended up paying like $10-$15 over the gift card which is extremely inexpensive for the two of us, especially having two beers each. A-OK, Hacienda. Keep doing you. read more

Well... It has potential... Steaks weren't anything special... Salad was disappointing , just a bowl of lettuce. The table we sat at was cramped and the utensils and dishes were very very old and could use updating.There seems to be no pride in the presentation of the meal at all. Our baked potatoes were about 3 inches long and came still wrapped in foil. When we asked for sour cream it came in a little pre packaged throw away thing you see at a fast food place. And the wine came in one of those tiny hotel fridge or airplane type bottles for single serving... A little updating would go a long way here. Attention to detail and a good wine selection along with some nicer dishes would make this place. The location is nice and the decor is ok.. They seemed too busy for the staff to keep up. Before the flood this place was great. No doubt higher costs in this area have had an effect. About 3 months ago I noticed quantities on the seafood platter had been reduced. Last night 2 of us had prime rib and it was terrible. It was obviously pre-cooked and totally tastless. This place came highly recommended from locals in Minot. Unfortunately I will stop using their recommendations and just stick with the crappy fast food and not waste a drive or the $$. We asked about the specials which both sounded good but when it came out and it was tasted it was the complete opposite. Took a bit to get there to the table which is no biggie but food came out semi warm. One ordered the "fresh shrimp" which was chewy and I had the so called chicken fried steak or the restaurants version. Let's just say I had way better frozen. At least I can say I visited Burlington and all for the first and last time in just one trip. For some odd reason once we ordered we never saw our waitress again, we had to ask another waitress for our check.
